and lock servicedisconnecting means topreventpower from being

switchon accidentally.When theservice disconnecting means

cannotbe locked, securely fasten a prominent warning device,

personnelin accordancewith all applicable codesand standards,

includingfire-rated construction codesandstandards.

4.Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting

ofgases through the flue (chimney)of fuel burningequipment to

preventbackdrafting.Followtheheatingequipment manufacturer’s

guidelineand safety standards such as those published by the

NationalFire Protection Association (NFPA), and the American

Societyfor Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers

(ASHRAE),and the local codeauthorities.

5. This product may have sharp edges.Be careful to avoidcuts and

abrasionsduring installation and cleaning.

6. Whencuttingor drillingintowall orceiling,donotdamageelectrical

wiringand otherhidden utilities.

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A RANGE TOP GREASE FIRE:

a) Neverleave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers

causesmoking and greasy spilloversthat may ignite. Heat oils

slowlyon lowor mediumsettings.

b)Always turnhood ONwhencookingathighheator whenflambéing

food(i.e. Crêpes Suzette, Cherries Jubilee, Peppercorn Beef

Flambé).

c) Cleanventilatingfans frequently.Grease should not be allowed to

accumulateonfan orfilters.

d)Use proper pan size.Always use cookware appropriate forthe size

ofthe surfaceelement.

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY TO PERSON(S) IN THE EVENT

OF A RANGE TOP GREASE FIRE, OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING*:

1. SMOTHERFLAMES with a close-fitting lid, cookie sheet, or metal

tray,thenturnoff theburner.BECAREFULTO PREVENTBURNS.

IFTHE FLAMES DO NOT GO OUT IMMEDIATELY, EVACUATE

ANDCALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
