• Thekettle can be used by children aged from 8 years and

above if they have been given supervision or instruction

concerning use of theappliance in asafe way and if they

understand thehazards involved. Cleaning and user

maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are

older than 8 and supervised.

• Keep theappliance and its cord out of reach of children aged

less than 8years.

• Thekettle may be used by persons with reduced physical,

sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and

knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction

concerning use of theappliance in asafe way and

understand thehazards involved. Children shall not play with

theappliance.

• Check that your power supply is 220–240 V and that

thekettle is connected to anearthed socket.

• Always unplug thekettle from thepower point when it is not

inuse.

• Always unplug thelead from thepower point and let thekettle

cool down properly before cleaningit.

• Do not pull or carry thekettle by themainslead. Donot

use thelead as ahandle or let it get pinched in doorjambs.

Donot pull thelead around sharp corners oredges.

• Make sure that thelead does not come in contact with hot

surfaces such as cookerhobs.

• Never immerse thekettle, base, mains lead or plug in water or

other liquid. Riskof electricshock.

• Any children present when thekettle is in use must be closely

supervised.

• Certain parts of thekettle become hot during use, only grip

thekettle by its handle.

• Never use thekettle if it is damaged or not working properly.

• Themains lead should be checked regularly. Neveruse

thekettle if themains lead or plug is damaged.

• Themains lead must be changed if damaged. Thisis to

prevent therisk of electric shock or ﬁre and should only be

carried out by themanufacturer, authorised service facility or

aqualiﬁed tradesman.

• Thekettle is designed for indoor useonly.

• Thekettle must only be used as described in this instruction

manual.

• Only operate thekettle using thesuppliedbase.

• Do not overﬁll thekettle by exceeding theMAX level on

thewater level window. Ifthekettle is overﬁlled, boiling water

may splashout.

• Ensure that thekettle is placed on aﬁrm, ﬂat surface Note:

before it is switchedon.

• Ensure that themains lead, plug, theelectrical Note:

connections on thebase and thekettle are clean, dry and

intact before switching thekettleon.

• Neverﬁll thekettle when it is on thebase. Remove Note:

thekettle from thebase and ﬁll it with water carefully. Ensure

that thebase and thebody of thekettle are completely dry

before placing thekettle on thebase and switching iton.

• Never ﬁll thekettle with water when it is switchedon.
