Operation
1 Before use
• The measuring device can only be moved once the locking screw (9)
has been opened.
• Wipe off the measuring scale and all measuring surfaces.
• Make sure that the display and all function buttons are in working order.
2 Measuring
• Loosen the locking screw (9).
• Press [OFF ON] (11), then press inch/mm (13) to select measuring units.
Each press of the button switches between inches and mm. The display
comes on automatically when the measuring device is moved even if you
do not press [OFF ON].
• Pinch the measuring jaws together to 0 and press [ZERO] (12) to reset
the device to prepare it for use.
• Press [OFF ON] (11) to turn off the device after a completed measurement.

Care
• Wipe off the entire measuring scale with a soft cloth in order to avoid
faulty readings caused by excess humidity.
• Keep the measuring device dry and clean. Do not use solvents for cleaning.
• Turn off the measuring device when not in use to save the batteries.
• Never measure surfaces that are current carrying.
• Never use and engraver to mark measurements the measuring device
may become damaged.
• An inaccurate measurement can occur when changing the battery. In this
case remove the battery and wait 30 seconds before replacing it.
Changing the battery
When the display becomes weak the battery needs to be changed. Remove
the battery cover using a small screwdriver and change the battery, with the
plus (+) side facing outwards.
Troubleshooting

Remove the battery and
replace it after 30 seconds.
