5. Thejar holders grip thesides of thejar whilst thelid opener rotates
to undo thelid.

7. Jars which have been in thefridge before being introduced
to room temperature might need to be dried to remove any
condensation before you use theopener onthem.
Note: Toprevent small or tall, narrow jars from toppling over whilst
they are being opened it is advisable to hold thejar with one hand and
hold thejar opener loosely with your otherhand.
Care and maintenance
• Clean theopener by wiping it with adampcloth. Useonly mild
cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Never immerse theopener in water or other liquid.
• Do not wash theopener in adishwasher.
• If theopener slows down during operation it might mean that
thebattery power islow. Change thebatteries.
• Remove thebatteries from theopener if it is not to be used for
alongtime.

1. Grip thebattery cover and pull it straight forwards away from
theopener.
2. Insert 2×AA/LR6 batteries. Follow themarkings in thebattery
compartment to ensure correct polarity. Nevermix old and new
batteries. Nevermix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
3. Refit thebattery cover, making sure that it clicks properly back
intoplace.
Theopener is only designed for opening glass jars with screw toplids.

1. Remove any plastic or paper tamper seals fastening thelid to

4. Hold in thestart button, thejar holders will move inwards and grip
thesides of thejar. Keepholding thestart button in and release it
when thelid opener starts to move inwards toward thelid.
Note: Keephands, hair, jewellery and clothing away from moving
parts duringuse. Pressthestart button once if you need to
interrupt theopening operation.
