If you want hair to be even shorter:

A) Apply more pressure to

Haircut Kit has everything you

need to achieve professional haircuts at home. Its

powerful high torque motor clipper, with stainless

steel blades for long-lasting cutting precision,

features a new 5-position adjustable taper con

trol. Whatever hair length you set the lever for,

the clipper will automatically cut all hair in that

section at the desired length. Also included are

10 comb attachments for different hair lengths

(including left and right ear taper combs), barber

scissors, a styling comb with angled teeth, a

barber comb with straight teeth, a full-length

THE CONAIR GUIDE

TO CUTTING HAIR AT HOME

Before you start:

1. Inspect your clipper. Make sure it’s free of hair

and dirt, properly oiled, and running smoothly.

2. Place a towel around the neck of the person

whose hair is being cut.

3. Seat the person so that his or her head is at

your eye level. This gives you greater visibility

and control.

4. First, comb hair until it’s tangle free. Then

hold clipper in a comfortable grip. Now you’re

ready to cut.

MEDIUM TO LONG CUT

To begin with, cut only a small amount of hair until

you become used to the length each attachment

leaves the hair. Try the longest attachment on the

clipper first. If you want a shorter cut, you can

then use shorter combs.

• Short comb attachment (number 1) cuts hair

to 1/8" (3mm).

• Medium-Short comb attachment (number 2)

cuts hair to 1/4" (6mm).

• Medium-Long comb attachment (number 3)

cuts hair to 3/8" (9.5mm).

• Long comb attachment (number 4) cuts hair

to 1/2" (12.5mm).

CARE OF YOUR CLIPPER’S

DETACHABLE BLADE SET

Your clipper is equipped with a detachable

blade set for routine maintenance, cleaning and

replacement.

To remove the blade: The

front of the clipper should

be facing you. Push up

under the blade with your

thumb and the blade will

pop out. (See Fig. 1)

To replace the blade: Make

sure the taper control is

set to the longest position

and with the back of the

clipper facing you, insert

the bottom side (with

screws) of the blade into the clipper and push

down until it snaps into place. (See Fig. 2)

MAINTENANCE OF THE BLADE

Always apply oil to the blades before, dur-

ing and after use. This will ensure maximum

cutting performance. Hold clipper away from

your body in a downward position and apply

oil on the front and sides of the cutter blade.

Wipe excess oil off with a soft, dry cloth.

2. This appliance should not be used by, on, or near

children or individuals with certain disabilities.

3. Use this appliance only for its intended purpose

as described in this manual. Do not use attach

ments not recommended by the manufacturer. Do

not use an extension cord to operate this appliance.

4. Never operate this appliance if it has a dam

aged cord or plug, if it is not working properly

or if it has been dropped or damaged, or

dropped into water. Return the appliance to a

service center for examination and repair.

5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

6. Never drop or insert any object into any opening

on this appliance.

7. Do not place appliance on any surface while it

SPECIAL OIL

To maintain the blades of your Conair

clipper

in peak condition, oil them after every three

or four haircuts. Gently place a few drops

of oil on the teeth of the blades, using the

special Conair

oil included with your set. Turn

the clipper on for a minute, then turn off. This

light, natural oil was formulated specifically

for the Conair

high-speed clipper. Be cause it

is the right oil to use, it will not slow down the

blades. Never use any other product; there is

no substitute for Conair oil.

• Left ear comb attachment lightly tapers over

left ear.

• Right ear comb attachment lightly tapers over

right ear.

Attach combs by holding

them teeth up, then snap

ping onto the bottom of the

clipper blade.

To remove comb attach

ments, place index finger

and thumb as illustrated;

then pull out and up.

NOTE: Never push or shove the clipper

through the hair to make it move more quick-

ly. Professional experience shows that the

clipper works most efficiently when it cuts

through the hair at its own speed.

To begin cutting hair:

1. The hair should be combed in its natural

direction.

2. Using the largest comb

attachment, trim sides

from the bottom upward.

Hold clipper lightly against

the hair with teeth of the

comb attachment pointing

up ward, yet flat against

the head. Gradually lift

the clipper upward and

outward through the hair,

trimming just a little at a

time.

Repeat around sides and

back of head.

STOP. COMB. CHECK.

For best results, do as the professionals do:

Comb hair often, and check clipping results

as you comb. This way you avoid uneven

sides, bangs, neckline, etc.

SHORT CUTS TO PERFECT

FLATTOPS, CREW CUTS, ETC.

Always cut from the back of the neck to the

crown, using the longest comb setting.

Hold the comb attachment flat against the

head and slowly move the clipper up through

the hair. Use the same technique for the

sides, cutting from the bottom to the upper

side of the head.

For the front to the crown, cut the hair

against the direction in which it grows. Then

even it up with the sides.

For a flattop, use the flat comb, not the comb

attachment. Just cut hair on top of the head

over flat comb.

To taper hair down to the neckline, use comb

attachment #1. Comb hair and check for

uneven spots. Outline sideburns and neck

areas (see “Outlining”).

2. Coloque una toalla o una capa de corte

alrededor del cuello de la persona a quien le va a

cortar el cabello.

3. Siente a la persona de manera que su cabeza

esté al nivel de sus ojos, para mayor visibilidad y

control.

4. Desenrede el cabello. Sostenga la cortadora

cómodamente en su mano. Ya está listo/a para

empezar.

CORTES MEDIANOS A LARGOS

Empiece cortando poco cabello, hasta

acostumbrase a cada guía. Use la guía más larga

para empezar, y luego acorte el cabello con guías

más cortas si desea.

MANTENIMIENTO DE SU CORTADORA

CUCHILLAS EXTRAÍBLES

Su cortadora está equipada con cuchillas

extraíbles, para facilitar el mantenimiento, la

limpieza, y el reemplazo de las mismas.

Para retirar el juego de

cuchillas: Sostenga la

cortadora con el interruptor

adelante. Empuje las

cuchillas hacia arriba con el

pulgar para desencajarlas.

(Fig.1)

Para instalar el juego de

cuchillas: Asegúrese de que

el botón o la palanca de

ajuste de longitud de corte

esté en la posición más larga.

Sostenga la cortadora con

la parte trasera adelante y

enganche las cuchillas en su lugar hasta que

calcen emitiendo un chasquido (Fig.2)

MANTENIMIENTO DE LAS CUCHILLAS

Lubrique las cuchillas antes, durante y después

del uso. Esto asegurará un rendimiento óptimo.

Sostenga el aparato boca abajo, lejos de su

cuerpo, y aplique aceite sobre los dientes y en

en condición óptima, lubríquelas cada

tres o cuatro cortes de cabello. Ponga unas

cuantas gotas del aceite lubricante provisto en

los dientes de las cuchillas. Encienda el aparato

durante un minuto, y luego apáguelo. El aceite

lubricante provisto p1-ha sido específicamente

diseñado para las cortadoras de alta velocidad

de Conair

. Por lo tanto, no reducirá la velocidad

de las cuchillas. Nunca utilice otro producto. No

hay ningún substituto al aceite de Conair.

PERFECTOS CORTES CON

Siempre corte el cabello desde la nuca hasta la

coronilla, usando la guía más larga.

Sostenga la guía contra la cabeza y deslice la

cortadora lentamente hacia arriba. Utilice la
