SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Please read these instructions
carefully before using the seat and keep
this guide in a safe place for future refer-
ence. If you do not comply with these in-
structions, the safety of your child could be
compromised. Only install your group 1 car
seat on a forward facing seat that has a
3-point seat belt in compliance with stand-
ard R 16 or other equivalent standards. Al-
ways give preference to rear seats, even if
the highway code allows installation at the
front.
Do not use on side facing or rear facing ve-
hicle seats. Never use this child seat with-
out fastening the child’s harness correctly,
and never attempt to use it without fasten-
ing it into the car as described in these in-
structions. It is important that the car seat
belts are perfectly tightened. Ensure that
the belt straps are not kinked or twisted.
The child seat must be pressed against the
vehicle seat upholstery as tightly as pos-
sible to ensure maximum protection: the
recommended method is shown in these
instructions. Do not add to or modify the
seat in any way. It is recommended that
this car seat should be changed when it
has been subjected to violent stresses in an
accident or has become badly worn. Peri-
odically inspect the harness for wear, pay-
ing particular attention to the attachment
points, stitching and adjusting devices. Do
not leave your child unattended in the seat
at any time. Ensure that no part of the seat
is trapped in a door or folding seat. If your
car has a folding rear seat, ensure that it
is correctly latched in the upright position.
Car interiors can become very hot when in
direct sunlight: it is therefore recommended
that the child seat is covered when not in
use. This prevents components, particularly
those attached to the child’s seat, becom-
ing hot and burning the child. Do not use
the child seat without its seat cover, which
should not be replaced with any other than
the one recommended by the manufactur-
er. In case of an emergency it is important
that the child can be released quickly: this
means that the buckle is not fully tamper-
proof, so your child must be taught never
to play with the buckle. Luggage and other
heavy or sharp objects should be secured
in the car: loose objects are liable to cause
injury in the event of an accident.

Adjusting the harnesses
Make sure that the harness straps of
your car seat are adapted to the height
of your child before starting to install the
seat in your car. The harness straps can
be adjusted to different heights and must
be positioned at, or just above the height of
your child’s shoulders.
To adjust the height of the harnesses, re-
move the upper section of one of the har-
ness straps by pivoting the metal plate lo-
cated behind the back of the seat shell and
then pushing it through the slots of the shell
and cover .(2)
Refit the harness strap through the desired
slots in the cover and seat shell making
sure that the metal plate is secure and flat
against the back surface of the seat shell
(3). Make sure there are no kinks or twists
in the harness strap.
Repeat the operation on the upper section
of the second strap.
The correct type of safety belt
to use with your car seat
Your car seat must ONLY be installed on a
passenger seat fitted with a 3-point safety
belt. install your car seat on a pas-NEVER
senger seat fitted with a 2-point safety belt!
(i - 9-18kg)
Fitting your chid seat into
your car
Fully recline the seat. Pull lap and diagonal
sections of the car seat belt until fully ex-
tended and feed both through the space
between the shell and the base. Fasten the
seat belt .(4)
Thread the lap section through the guides
located below the red lock-off clips. Open
the red lock-off clip , next to the buckle
then route the diagonal section of the belt
through the open lock-off clip . (5) It is im-
portant that you DO NOT route the di-
agonal section of the belt through the red
lock-off clip on the other side of the seat.
Push the child seat right down into the
car seat, and tighten both sections of the
seat belt by pulling the belt in the direction
shown .(6)
Close the lock-off across the diagonal belt
(7). Check that there are no kinks or twists
in the seat belt.
Harness buckle
To fasten the harness, bring the two shoul-
der straps together and insert them into (8)
the buckle ; you should hear a (9) “click”
(10). To release the harness, press the
buckle’s red button.
Fitting the harness
• To tighten the harness: Pull on the ad-
justing straps positioned on the harness.
You do not need to press on the adjuster
buttons . (11) IMPORTANT: A correctly ad-
justed harness is essential for your child’s
protection. There should not be more than
a finger’s width between the harness and
your child.
• To loosen the harness: Press on the ad-
juster buttons positioned on the upper sec-
tion of the harness straps, grasp the lower
section and pull simultaneously .(12)
Reclining your child seat
Squeeze and lift the adjustment lever lo-
cated under the front of the seat upwards,
then pull or push the base towards or away
from you .(13)
Storage of the instruction
manual
Store this instruction manual, depending on
the model of your seat, either in the pouch
provided, or by slipping it into between the
shell and the seat cover.
Maintenance advice
All the material parts can be removed.
Slight stains can be removed using a damp
sponge soaked in soapy water or it can be
washed by hand at 30° in soapy water. Do
not use bleach, do not iron, do not machine
wash, and do not tumble dry.

compatible with the majority (some excep-
tions) of vehicle seats.
