CAUTION: NEVER MAKE ANY CROSSCUT UNLESS THE MATERIAL IS POSI-

TIONED FLAT ON THE TABLE AND AGAINST THE MITER GAUGE FENCE.

CAUTION: Never use rip fence as length stop when crosscutting. Unsupported cut-off

piece between blade and rip fence may bind blade and cause personal injury.

Miter Gauge Assembly

STEP 1 Insert telescoping scale (A) into housing (B), shown in Figure 1. Arrange miter

gauge as shown in Figure 2. Align 90˚ mark with end of outer housing. Tighten

clamp (L) as shown in Figure 3.

STEP 2 Loosen thumb screws (D). Attach miter fence (E) to miter gauge (F) by sliding

miter gauge fence slot (G) shown in Figure 2 over fence clamp (P) shown in

Figure 5. Tighten thumb screws (D) to lock fence into place (Fig. 2). To adjust,

loosen thumb screws.

STEP 3 Attach adjustable stop (H) to miter fence. Slide adjustable stop locking hardware

(I) into slot on top of the fence (Fig. 2).

Miter Gauge Use

ADJUST MITER GAUGE ANGLE (FIG. 3)

Loosen thumb screw (L). Align mark on with end of housing (J).telescoping scale (A)

Tighten thumb screw (L).

ANGLE DETENT SYSTEM (FIG. 3)

The miter gauge is equipped with a detent system for easily setting more frequently used

angles.

To Adjust Miter Gauge:

Loosen thumb screw (L). Press and hold detent button (K) on bottom of the housing

(B). Slide the telescoping scale (A) into the housing until the desired detent catches.

Tighten thumb screw (L).

MITER GAUGE CALIBRATION (FIG. 4)

Set the miter gauge to 90˚ using the detent system. Loosen eccentric lock screw (M)

inside the housing using the hex key (N). Turn eccentric (O) to adjust gauge to true 90˚

using calibration square. Tighten eccentric lock screw.

REVERSING MITER GAUGE (FIG. 4, 5)

Loosen thumb screws (D) and remove miter fence (E). Remove fence clamp (P) from

fence base. Slide telescoping scale (A) out of housing (B). Rotate housing and fence base

to opposite side. Slide telescoping scale back into housing and tighten thumb screw (L).

Reinstall fence clamp (P) and miter fence (E). Tighten thumb screw (D).

MITER GAUGE SLIDE ADJUSTMENT (FIG. 4, 5)

If your miter gauge does not fit snugly into the saw table miter gauge slot (C), shown in

Figure 4, three expansion slots are provided to make small adjustments to the width of

the slider (Q), shown in Figure 5.

Turn the set screws (R) clockwise to expand the slot and add tension to the fit of the

slider in the saw table miter gauge slot. Your miter gauge should slide easily in the saw

table miter gauge slot without binding.
