BIG MUFF PI
Congratulations! You have just purchased the finest harmonic distortion-sustain
device developed to date for the electric guitar player. The Big Muff Pi will give
you a sweet violin-like sustaining sound. It's the same legendary sound created
by Jimi Hendrix.
– OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS –
Volume Control — sets the output level.
Sustain Control — adjusts the amount of sustain and distortion.
Tone Control — pr vides a ro ange of sounds from high treble to deep bass.
Power from the internal 9 volt battery or external battery eliminator is activated
by plugging into the input. The input cable should be removed when the unit is not
in use to avoid running down the battery.
To achieve its long sustain, the Big Muff Pi has very high maximum gain. This
requires that pickups and cables be well shielded and properly grounded to avoid
excessive hum when high sustain control settings are used.
The small jack on the back of the Big Muff Pi is for a 9 volt battery eliminator
capable of delivering 100 mA of current. The unit‚s battery may be left in or taken
out when the eliminator is in use.

Please complete and return the enclosed warranty card within 10 days of purchase.
We will repair the unit for free within one year of date of purchase. If you should
need to return your unit for service within the warranty period, please include a
brief description of the problem as well as you name, address, telephone number,
copy of your receipt, and a check or money order for $5.00 shipping and handling to:
