GENERALITÀ
Le colonne sonore sono particolari diffusori acustici, progettati per
ottenere delle caratteristiche di direttività ben precise. Sfruttando il
principio acustico delle interferenze di fase tra due o più altoparlanti,
disposti lungo un asse verticale e ravvicinati tra di loro, è possibile
ridurre l’angolo di apertura verticale del fronte sonoro emesso; ad un
maggior numero di altoparlanti corrisponde un angolo di emissione più
piccolo. La diminuzione di tale angolo consente di limitare la quantità
di energia sonora rivolta verso superfi ci rifl ettenti (tipo pavimenti e
soffi tti) aumentando così l’intelligibilità del programma irradiato in
ambienti anche molto riverberanti.
DESCRIZIONE
Le nuove colonne della Serie sono caratterizzate CS4100/EN
da altoparlanti ad estesa gamma di risposta e da tweeter ad alta
effi cienza, che consentono una perfetta intelligibilità del parlato ed
una fedele riproduzione della musica. Questi diffusori sono stati
appositamente sviluppati per essere impiegati in sistemi d’emergenza
e d’evacuazione: sono infatti dotati di morsettiera ceramica e di fusibile
termico, che garantiscono la salvaguardia della linea di collegamento
altoparlanti nel caso in cui un possibile incendio metta fuori uso uno
o più diffusori ad essa collegati. Sono dotati di cavo resistente al
fuoco (lunghezza 80cm). Tutti i modelli dispongono UNI 9795 2010
di traslatore di linea. I collegamenti alle varie prese sono disponibili
con cavo uscente dalla colonna: per la connessione riferirsi alla
targhetta posta sul retro della colonna. Lo snodo di fi ssaggio, fornito
in dotazione, permette di orientare la colonna in tutte le direzioni.
USO DELLE COLONNE
Per il posizionamento delle colonne è necessario tenere conto
degli angoli di apertura caratteristici dei vari modelli, riportati nella
sezione . Occorre scegliere opportunamente Caratteristiche tecniche
l’altezza alla quale posizionare la colonna e l’inclinazione verso
l’area di diffusione per evitare zone di ascolto “oscurate” (ovvero
fuori dall’angolo di dispersione della colonna); per coprire, sul piano
orizzontale, un’area più ampia è possibile montare due colonne
affi ancate posizionandole tra loro a circa 60°; evitare di ridurre
ulteriormente tale angolo perchè, nelle zone dove si sovrappongono
i lobi di radiazione, si potrebbero creare indesiderati fenomeni di
interferenze.
MONTAGGIO DELLE COLONNE
In dotazione viene fornito un supporto a snodo che permette
di fi ssare la colonna ad una parete e di orientarla nella direzione
voluta. Il supporto dovrebbe essere fi ssato preferibilmente al centro
della colonna, compatibilmente con l’inclinazione desiderata; per
l’operazione utilizzare le quattro viti fornite a corredo (Fig. 2).
Per il fi ssaggio a parete si consiglia di utilizzare viti e/o tasselli ad
espansione adeguati al peso della colonna ed al tipo di supporto.
Utilizzando un grano fi lettato M6x20, come mostrato in Fig. 3, è
possibile montare due colonne sonore (dello stesso tipo) sovrapposte;
si ottiene in questo modo un’unica colonna sonora, di altezza doppia,
con angolo di apertura sul piano verticale ulteriormente ridotto.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Sound columns are special sound speakers, designed to satisfy
specifi c directivity requirements. Using the acoustic principle of phase
interferences between two or more loudspeakers, placed near each
other along a vertical axis, it is possible to reduce the vertical angle of
the output sound front. The higher the number of speakers, the smaller
the output angle. Reducing this angle makes it possible to limit the
quantity of sound energy directed towards refl ecting surfaces (such
as f oors and ceilings), thus increasing the intelligibility of the diffused
program even in environments with a high level of reverberation.
DESCRIPTION
The new columns of the CS4100/EN range feature loudspeakers with
a broad response range and high-effi ciency tweeters enabling perfect
intelligibility of speech and accurate reproduction of music.
These speaker units have been developed specifi cally for use in
emergency and evacuation systems and each has its own ceramic
terminal strip and thermal fuse. These ensure the protection of the
line connecting the loudspeakers if a fi re puts one or more of the
speaker units connected to it out of use. This speaker units are fi tted
with fi reproof cable according to (length 80 cm).UNI 9795 2010
All the models have line-repeating coils. The connections to the
various different plugs are available with cables leading out from
the column: for connection refer to the data plate on the rear of the
column. These columns can be turned in any direction thanks to the
swivel joint included in the supply.
COLUMN OPERATION
For column positioning you shall keep into account the specifi c
output angles of the various models, as shown in the Technical
specifi cations. You shall choose the right height at which the column
shall be placed and the tilting angle towards the distribution area
to avoid “dimmed” listening zones (i.e. outside the column’s sound
scattering angle). To cover a wider area on the horizontal plane, you
can mount two columns side by side at about 60° from each other.
Do not use a smaller angle as interference might occur in the areas
where radiation patterns overlap.
MOUNTING THE COLUMNS
The jointed support is supplied with the equipment. It can be used
to secure the column to a wall and to point it in the desired direction.
The support should preferably be fi xed to the centre of the column,
compatibly with the desired inclination. To do this, use the four screws
supplied with the equipment (Fig. 2). For securing to a wall, use of
screws and/or expansion bolts of the appropriate size in relation to
the weight of the column and the type of wall is recommended. Using
a threaded M6x20 grub screw, as shown in Fig. 3, it is possible to
mount the two sound columns (both of the same type) one on top
of the other. In this way a single sound column is obtained which
is twice as high, with an opening angle on the vertical plane which is
further reduced.
