5 Operation
Lever locking mechanism
Use this function to keep the toggle lever securely in the end position defined at
the back. This prevents the object from sliding back through the installed shock
absorber, e.g. to carry out the relevant work steps on the object.
Fig. 10 Lever locking mechanism
• Press the toggle lever[F] through the transported material into the upper end
position.
Ä
The pin clicks audibly into the notch on the toggle lever[F].6
NOTICE!
Breakage of components when toggle lever is locked
Elements of the stopper cylinder or the toggle lever function kit can break when
the toggle lever is actively locked.
• Do not move objects backwards against the locked toggle lever.
Fig. 11 Risk of breakage when toggle lever is locked
Lever deactivating mechanism
Use this function to lock the toggle lever into the lower end position. The trans-
ported material can be moved back and forth in both directions over the deactiv-
ated stopper cylinder, e.g. to eliminate a system error.
Fig. 12 Lever deactivating mechanism
• Press the toggle lever[F] downwards into the end position.
Ä
The pin clicks audibly into the notch on the toggle lever[F].6
Lever unlocking mechanism
Unlock the locked toggle lever as follows and reactivate the stopping function.
Fig. 13 Lever unlocking mechanism
• Pressurise the stopper cylinder so that the piston rod retracts.aA
Ä
Contact with the screw causes the toggle lever to unlock.7
6 Disassembly
Disassembly is performed in the reverse order to assembly.
CAUTION!
Leg spring under tension
The leg spring can crush or scratch fingers and body parts during disassembly.
• Use a tool to carefully release the tension of the leg spring.
