Vorsichtiger Umgang mit der Festplatte
Festplatten sind auf Grund der Bauart stoßempfi ndlich und dürfen keinen Stößen und oder Stürzen
ausgesetzt werden, da dies die Festplatte beschädigen/zerstören könnte. Stellen Sie auch keine
Gegenstände auf die Festplatte.
Feuchtigkeit, Sonneneinstrahlung, Wärme, offene Flammen
Schützen Sie die Festplatte vor Feuchtigkeit, Tropf- und Spritzwasser (stellen Sie auch keine
gefüllten Gegenstände wie z. B. Vasen auf das Gerät). Stellen Sie die Festplatte nicht in der Nähe
der Heizung auf, setzen Sie es nicht direkter Sonneneinstrahlung aus und betreiben Sie es nicht
in Feuchträumen. Verwenden Sie die Festplatte nur in gemäßigtem, nicht tropischem Klima! Stel-
len Sie keine offenen Flammen, wie z. B. Kerzen, auf die Festplatte! Es besteht Brandgefahr!
Aufstellungsort
Jedes elektronische Gerät entwickelt Wärme. Die Erwärmung der Festplatte liegt jedoch im zuläs-
sigen Bereich. Empfi ndliche Möbeloberfl ächen und Furniere können sich durch die ständige Wär-
meeinwirkung im Laufe der Zeit verfärben. Ebenso können die Gerätefüße auf behandelten Möbel-
oberfl ächen Farbveränderungen hervorrufen. Stellen Sie die Festplatte gegebenenfalls auf eine
feste, geeignete und ebene Unterlage!
Reinigung
Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung ein trockenes Tuch und reinigen Sie lediglich die Oberfl äche.
Öffnen Sie auf keinen Fall das Gehäuse.
Rückversand
Bewahren Sie die Originalverpackung bitte für den eventuellen Rückversand auf! Festplatten sind
auf Grund der Bauart stoßempfi ndlich und nur durch die Originalverpackung ausreichend geschützt.
Bei unsachgemäßem Versand erlischt der Garantie-/Gewährleistungsanspruch für die Festplatte.

Care in handling the hard disk
Due to their construction, hard disks are sensitive to shocks, and must not subjected to impacts or
be dropped, since this will damage a hard disk, potentially beyond repair. Do not place any objects
on the hard disk.
Moisture, direct sunlight, heat, naked fl ames
Protect the hard disk against moisture, dripping and splashed water (do not place any fi lled objects
such as vases on top of it). Do not place the hard disk close to a heater or expose it to direct sunlight
and do not operate it in damp locations. Only use the hard disk in a moderate climate, not in tropical
conditions! Place no naked fl ames such as candles on top of the hard disk! There is a risk of fi re!
Installation location
All electronic equipment generates heat, However, the rise in temperature of the hard disk lies
within the permissible range. Sensitive furniture surfaces and veneers may become discoloured by
the effects of constant heat over time. The feet of the unit can also cause colour changes to treated
furniture surfaces. If necessary, place the hard disk on a suitable stable and fl at base.
Cleaning
Only use a dry cloth for cleaning and only clean the outer surface. Never open up the case.
Returning the product
Please keep the original packaging in case you need to return the product at any time. Due to
their construction, hard disks are fragile and only their original packaging gives them adequate
protection. If the hard disk is not shipped correctly the guarantee/warranty on it will be invalidated.

Manipulation sûre du disque dur
Les disques durs sont, par nature, sensibles aux chocs. Ils ne doivent pas subir de chocs ou de
chutes qui risqueraient de les endommager ou de les détruire. Ne posez aucun objet sur le disque
dur.
Humidité, soleil, chaleur, fl ammes ouvertes
Protégez le disque dur de l’humidité et des projections ou gouttes d’eau (de même, ne posez
aucun récipient plein, tel qu’un vase, sur l’appareil). N’installez pas le disque dur à proximité du
chauffage, ne le laissez pas exposé directement au soleil et ne le faites pas fonctionner dans
des pièces humides. Utilisez le disque dur exclusivement dans un climat tempéré, non tropical !
Ne placez pas de fl ammes ouvertes, par ex. de bougies, sur le disque dur ! Danger d’incendie !
Lieu d’installation
Chaque appareil électronique génère de la chaleur. L’élévation de température reste cependant
dans des limites non dangereuses. Les surfaces de meubles sensibles et les placages peuvent
changer de couleur au cours du temps sous l’action continue de la chaleur. De même, les pieds de
l’appareil peuvent causer des changements de couleur sur les surfaces de meuble traitées. Le cas
échéant, posez le disque dur sur un support approprié, plat et solide !
Nettoyage
Utilisez un chiffon sec pour effectuer le nettoyage et nettoyez uniquement la surface. N’ouvrez en
aucun cas le boîtier.
Retour
Veuillez conserver l’emballage d’origine pour un éventuel retour ! Les disques durs sont, par nature,
sensibles aux chocs et seul l’emballage d’origine leur offre une protection suffi sante. La garantie est
annulée si l’envoi du disque dur n’est pas effectué correctement.
