using your new appliance for the first time. Keep them in a place where you can find

and refer to them later on.

BEFORE FIRST USE

nRemove all packaging and other accessories inside as well as outside the appliance.

nOperate the coffee maker for the first time without coffee, and with a full tank of water to rinse the circuit.

nThe glass jug, is dishwasher proof but should not be used in a microwave.

PREPARATION OF THE COFFEE

nFollow the illustrations from .1 to 11

nUse only cold water and a No.4 filter paper.

nAn anti-drip system allows you to remove the jug during the process. Replace it quickly to prevent

overflowing.

nDo not exceed the maximum quantity of water.

nPlace the ground coffee directly inside the paper filter. After use, throw away the coffee grounds and

rinse the filter holder under running water.

The recommended amount of coffee grounds is a level teaspoon (provided) for standard grounds (maximum

7 grams).

Your coffee maker is equipped with an automatic stop system:

nThe appliance will stop automatically after approximately 40 minutes.

nThe appliance can be switched off at any time by pressing the button marked 'e' in the diagram.

CLEANING

nUnplug the appliance.

nDo not clean the appliance when hot.

nClean with a damp cloth or sponge.

nNever put the appliance in water or under running water.

nTo remove the used grounds, remove filter holder from the coffee maker.

nThe jug, the lid and the filter holder can be washed in the dishwasher.

DESCALING

■Why descale

The scale is naturally deposited in your coffee maker. Descaling preserves the coffee maker and ensures it

a longer life. Descaling ensures a consistent quality of coffee. The scale may permanently deteriorate the

performance of the machine. The guarantee does not cover appliances which become faulty because the

descaling operations have not been carried out regularly.
