Calibration Adaptor
Safety warnings
GSAFETY WARNINGS
■Safety warnings precautions must be readand and understood
before the calibration adaptor is used. They must be observed during use.
■Only use the calibration adaptor with the Megger DET range of products.
■Do not connect the calibration adaptor to live circuits or to circuits
which may become live.
■Do not connect the instrument being checked to any other equipment
or external circuit whilst the calibration adaptor is connected.
■Do not leave the calibration adaptor connected to the instrument being
checked when not in use.
■Do not touch circuit connections and exposed metalwork of the
instrument being checked.
■Do not use the calibration adaptor or connect it to a DET instrument if it
shows any visible signs of damage or if it has been stored for prolonged
periods in unfavourable conditions.
■Do not use the calibration adaptor or connect it to a DET instrument if
the casing is open or any parts of the case are missing.
NOTE: THE INSTRUMENT MUST ONLY BE USED BY SUITABLY
TRAINED AND COMPETENT PERSONS.
Users of this equipment and/or their employers are reminded that National

assessments of all electrical work so as to identify potential sources of
electrical danger and risk of electrical injury such as inadvertent short circuits.
Where the assessments show that the risk is significant then the use of fused
test leads may be appropriate.
