First steps:
For models CCR and 1100, connect with your PC to Ethernet port 1;
For models CRS, connect with your PC to any Ethernet port;
Connect the device to a power source;
Set your IP for PC to 192.168.88.2/24;
Use Web browser or WinBox to connect to the default IP address of 192.168.88.1, with the username: and no password
admin
(or, for some models, check
user and wireless passwords on the sticker);
In case IP is not available then use WinBox and connect with MAC address;
Update the device by clicking the (Check_for_updates) button to the latest RouterOS software for this to work the device needs to have an active Internet
connection;
For a manual update of the device, visit the products page at to find your product. The required packages are accessible under https://mikrotik.com/products
the menu;"Support&Downloads"
Upload downloaded packages to the " menu and reboot the device;"Winbox "Files"
By upgrading your RouterOS software to the latest version, you can ensure optimal performance, stability, and security updates;
Reboot the device;
Set up your password to secure the device.
