Composition of manual
This manual applies to the GM-5400T and GM-
3400T. However, the illustrations show the GM-
5400T.
There are differences between the GM-5400T
and the GM-3400T. The differences for the GM-
3400T are as follows:
!Fuse: 25 A × 1
!There is no BFC (beat frequency control)
switch.
!There is no BASS BOOST (bass boost level
control) switch
!Suitable specification of speaker. Refer to
About suitable specification of speaker on
page 8.
!Location of Installation holes on the main
unit.
Before connecting/
installing the amplifier
WARNING
!The use of a special red battery and ground
wire RD-223, available separately, is recom-
mended. Connect the battery wire directly to
the car battery positive terminal +and the
ground wire to the car body.
!This unit is for vehicles with a 12 V battery and
negative grounding. Before installing in re-
creational vehicles, trucks or buses, check the
battery voltage.
