INTRODUCTION

Your QUINTEZZ LED sensor Floodlight is a unique indoor or outdoor lighting system

for your home or business. At night, the built-in infrared (PIR) motion sensor turns

on the Floodlight when it detects motion in its detection ﬁeld. The built-in light

sensor can be activated during the day in order to save electricity. An adjustable

timer makes you able to select how long the Floodlight needs to stay on after

activation.

A 50W LED light is installed which can be adjusted thanks to the 3 different knobs

located at the bottom of the motion sensor:

1) SENS (SENSITIVITY): SENS knob

controls the sensitivity, the detection

area : lowest sensitivity = detects all

motion within 5m, highest sensitivity

= detects all motion within 12m.

2) TIME: TIME knob controls how long

the Floodlight will stay on after the

last motion has been detected.

The minimum TIME is 10sec., the

maximum TIME is 7min.

3) LUX: LUX knob determines at what

light level the Floodlight will start

working, so it actually controls the

built-in light sensor.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• Do not install when it is raining

• Make sure you switch off the power before installation

• Make sure that the power wiring comes from a circuit with a suitable fuse or

circuit breaker

• Make sure that there are no objects within a range of 100 cm from the Floodlight

• Do not remove the adjustment knob (5)

• Do not remove the Floodlight head assembly and motion sensor from the base,

so as to avoid any rotation

The unit can only be installed horizontally, not vertically as shown on illustration II.

IMPORTANT

Some countries may require installation of this product by a qualiﬁed electrician.

Please check the laws and requirements in your country. If the house wiring

is of aluminum, consult with an electrician about proper wiring methods.

Before proceeding the installation, TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE LIGHTING

CIRCUIT AT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE BOX TO AVOID ELECTRICAL

SHOCKS.

CHOOSE A MOUNTING LOCATION

• For the best results, ﬁx the Floodlight on a solid surface at a height between

4.0 ~ 10.0 m.

• For outdoor installation: a location under eaves is preferable

• Avoid aiming the motion sensor at pools, heating vents, air conditioners or

objects which may change temperature rapidly

• Try to avoid pointing the Floodlight at trees or shrubs or where the motion of

pets may be detected

• Before mounting, please keep in mind that the motion sensor is most sensitive

to all motion appearing across the sensor and less sensitive to all motion

appearing directly towards the sensor (See Illustration III.)

INSTALLATION

Make sure you have a screwdriver and drill ready. Select a location for the unit,

based on the coverage angles shown in Illustration IV.

WIRING INSTRUCTION

1) Switch off the power source.

2) Remove the mounting bracket from the Floodlight. Drill the wall and screw

the bracket onto the wall using suitable wall plugs and screws (not included).

Check that the bracket is securely ﬁtted onto the wall. See illustration V.

Note: at this stage, do NOT re-attach the Floodlight to the bracket.

3) Strip approximately 6-8 mm insulating part of the power cable and original

wire (if needed). Before connection make sure that the wiring box gasket is

ﬁrmly seated in its original place.

4) Connect the BROWN wire (live wire +) to the terminal block “L” mark.

Connect the BLUE wire (Neutral wire) to the terminal block “N” mark.

Connect the YELLOW/GREEN wire (earthing wire) to the terminal block

mark. (in case there is an earthing wire).

5) Re-attach the Floodlight to the bracket and secure the cable to the wall using

suitable clips (not included). Ensure that the cable is not touching the body

of the Floodlight and that there is sufﬁcient slack in the cable to allow the

Floodlight to be titled and adjusted as required which should be done by

grasping the metal body of the Floodlight and determining its position.

6) Use the adjustment knob (5) to rotate/turn the Motion Sensor in the perfect

position. (see illustration VI).

SETTINGS

1) TEST MODE

• - Turn the SENS knob clockwise to

the maximum setting.

- Turn the TIME knob anti-clockwise

to the minimum setting.

- Turn the LUX knob clockwise to the

maximum ‘sun’ ( ) setting.

• When you switch on the power, the controlled power load will not yet work.

Preheating will take 30 sec. As soon as the sensor detects motion, the

Floodlight will turn on. When the Floodlight turns off, it will turn on again

when the sensor detects motion within 5~15 sec.

• Afterwards make the Floodlight turn itself on after 5-10 sec. This should work

now. When there is no motion signal in the sensor, the Floodlight will turn off.

• Turn the LUX knob anti-clockwise to the minimum. If it is set to less than 3 LUX

(dark), the light and sensor will not work when testing in daylight. If you cover

the detection window by an opaque object (a towel for example), the light will

turn on. When there is no motion signal, the light will turn off within 5-15 sec.

• Adjust the motion sensor to choose and set the desired detection ﬁeld. For

a smaller detection ﬁeld, point the sensor down; for a larger detection ﬁeld,

point the sensor up.

Attention: when testing in daylight, please turn LUX knob to the SUN

position, otherwise the Floodlight will not turn on!

Note:

• Should be installed by an electrician or experienced person

• Avoid installation on objects that can move/shrink/expand …

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS

When sensitivity is poor:

• Make sure that the detection window is free from dust and dirt which can

affect the sensitivity

• Make sure that the ambient temperature is not too high

• Make sure that the motion signal is located within the detection ﬁeld

• Make sure that the installation height corresponds to the recommended

height (between 4.0 ~ 10.0 m)

• Make sure that the motion sensor is correctly oriented to detect motion

signals

SENS TIME LUX

When the Floodlight does not turn off automatically:

• Make sure there isn’t a continuous motion signal within the detection ﬁeld

• Make sure that the TIME setting is not set to the maximum

• Make sure that the power corresponds to the instructions

• Make sure that the temperature near the sensor cannot change rapidly

caused by e.g. air condition, central heating, …

2) TIME ADJUSTMENT

The TIME adjustment determines how

long the Floodlight will stay on after the

last motion has been detected.

• Turn the motion sensor TIME knob

counter-clockwise to increase (up to

about 7 minutes) the amount of TIME

the Floodlight will stay on.

• Turn the motion sensor TIME knob

clockwise to decrease (down to about

10 seconds) the amount of TIME the

ﬂoodlight will stay on.

3) LUX ADJUSTMENT

LUX knob determines at what light level the Floodlight

will start working, so it actually controls the built-in light

sensor.

• Temporarily turn the LUX knob counter-clockwise

to the moon (dusk) ( )setting

In this provisional setting mode the motion sensor

remains inactive during daylight.

• At dusk when you ﬁnd it is the desired night level to

start working, simply set it to the position it needs

to become operative as daylight declines.

4) SENS ADJUSTMENT

SENS knob controls the sensitivity, the

detection area : lowest sensitivity = detects

all motion within 5m, highest sensitivity =

detects all motion within 12m.

• Turn the motion sensor SENS knob

counter-clockwise to decrease the

sensitivity (lowest level = within 5

meters)

• Turn the motion sensor SENS knob

clockwise to decrease the sensitivity

(highest level = within 12 m)

OPERATION

Turn on the wall switch (if applicable). When the sensor detects motion, the

Floodlight will automatically turn on. The built-in light sensor turns the sensor off

and on according to the light and time level set by the LUX and TIME knob.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Light does not turn on:

• Make sure that you have made a correct “wiring connection”,

if the load is correctly and there is 85V~240V power.

Sensitivity is poor:

• Make sure that the LUX knob is correctly set

• Make sure that the SENS knob is correctly set

(also check “Settings / 1. test mode / possible problems”)

Light remains ON:

• Make sure that you have made a correct “wiring connection”

• Make sure that the TIME knob is correctly set

• Make sure that the LUX knob is correctly set

INLEIDING

UW QUINTEZZ LED Sensor Floodlight is een uniek indoor of outdoor

verlichtingssysteem voor uw huis of bedrijf. De ingebouwde infrarood (PIR)

bewegingssensor schakelt de Floodlight ’s nachts aan zodra deze beweging in het

detectiegebied detecteert. De ingebouwde lichtsensor kan overdag geactiveerd

worden om elektriciteit te besparen. Dankzij de instelbare timer kunt ook zelf

bepalen hoe lang de Floodlight moet blijven branden na activering.

Standaard werd een 50W LED-licht geïnstalleerd, welke kan ingesteld worden

dankzij de 3 verschillende knoppen aan de onderkant van de bewegingssensor:

1) SENS: de SENS instelknop regelt

de gevoeligheid, het detectiebereik:

laagste gevoeligheid = detecteert alle

beweging binnen 5 meter detecteert,

hoogste gevoeligheid = detecteert

alle beweging binnen 12m.

2) TIME: de TIME instelknop bepaalt

hoe lang de Floodlight zal blijven

branden nadat de laatste beweging

gedetecteerd werd. De minimale tijd

is 10sec., De maximale tijd is 7min.

LUX: de LUX instelknop bepaalt op welk

lichtniveau de Floodlight zal beginnen

branden, m.a.w. deze bestuurt als het

ware de ingebouwde lichtsensor

VEILIGHEID

• Installeer het apparaat niet als het regent.

• Schakel de stroom uit voordat u de installatie aanvangt.

• Zorg ervoor dat de bedrading afkomstig is van een stroomcircuit met een

geschikte zekering of een stroomonderbreker.

• Zorg ervoor dat er zich geen objecten binnen een bereik van 100 cm van de

Floodlight bevinden.

• Verwijder nooit de instelknop (5).

• Verwijder nooit de hoofdunit en bewegingssensor van de basis. Dit om elke

rotatie te voorkomen.

• Het toestel kan alleen horizontaal worden geïnstalleerd, niet verticaal zoals in

illustratie II.

BELANGRIJK

Sommige landen vereisen dat de installatie van dit product door een erkend

elektricien gebeurt. Controleer de wetten en voorschriften hierover in uw land.

Als de bedrading in uw huis van aluminium is, dient u met een elektricien de

correcte aansluitingsmethoden te bespreken. In elk geval dient u de stroom

van het verlichtingscircuit aan de zekeringkast of stroomonderbreker uit te

schakelen om elektrische schokken te voorkomen.

KIES EEN MONTAGE-LOCATIE

• Voor de beste resultaten bevestigt u de Floodlight best op een stevige

ondergrond en op een hoogte tussen 4.0~10.0m.

• Voor buitenopstelling: een locatie onder de dakrand geniet de voorkeur.

• Vermijd dat de bewegingssensor gericht is naar zwembaden, verwarmings-

systemen, ventilatieopeningen, airconditioningsystemen of voorwerpen die

snel van temperatuur kunnen veranderen.

• Vermijd dat de Floodlight gericht is naar bomen of struiken of daar waar vaak

beweging van dieren gedetecteerd kan worden.

• Alvorens de montage aan te vangen, dient u er rekening mee te houden dat de

bewegingssensor het meest gevoelig is voor alle beweging die zich langs de

sensor heen begeeft en minder gevoelig is voor alle beweging die rechtstreeks

in de richting van de sensor verschijnt. Zie illustratie III

INSTALLATIE

Zorg ervoor dat u een schroevendraaier en een boor klaar heeft liggen. Selecteer

een locatie voor de unit, gebaseerd op de dekkingsgraad hoeken in illustratie IV.

BEDRADINGSINSTRUCTIES

1) Schakel de stroom uit.

2) Verwijder de bevestigingsbeugel van de Floodlight. Boor de wand en schroef

de beugel op de wand met geschikte pluggen en schroeven (niet meegeleverd).

Controleer of de beugel stevig gemonteerd staat op de muur. Zie illustratie V.

pmerking: in dit stadium nooit de Floodlight opnieuw aan de beugel bevestigen.

3) Verwijder ongeveer 6-8 mm isolatiegedeelte van de stroomkabel en originele

draad (indien nodig). Voor aansluiting checkt u dat de aansluitdoos stevig in zijn

oorspronkelijke plaats bevindt.

Verbind de BRUINE draad (fasedraad +) met het klemmenblok met de “L” markering.

Verbind de BLAUWE draad (0 draad) met het klemmenblok met de “N” markering.

Verbind de GEEL/GROENE draad (aardedraad) met het klemmenblok met de

markering. (in het geval deze aanwezig is).

5) Bevestig de Floodlight opnieuw aan de beugel en zet de kabel vast aan de

muur met behulp van geschikte klemmen (niet inbegrepen). Zorg ervoor dat de

kabel de Floodlight niet raakt en dat er voldoende speling is om de Floodlight

te kunnen instellen, dit door de metalen behuizing van de Floodlight vast te

nemen en de positie te bepalen.

6) Gebruik de instelknop (5) om de beweginssensor in de perfecte positie te

roteren/draaien (zie illustratie VI).

INSTELLINGEN

1) TEST MODUS

• - Draai de SENS knop met de klok

mee tot de maximuminstelling.

- Draai the TIME knop tegen de klok

in tot de minimuminstelling.

Draai the LUX knop met de klok mee

tot de maximuminstelling ‘zon’

().

• Bij het inschakelen van de stroom, zal de gecontroleerde stroomlading

(passief) nog niet werken. Voorverwarming zal 30 seconden duren. Zodra de

bewegingssensor beweging detecteert zal de Floodlight beginnen branden.

Wanneer de Floodlight stopt met branden, zal deze opnieuw inschakelen zodra

de sensor binnen 5 ~ 15 sec beweging detecteert.

•

Laat hierna de Floodlight zichzelf aanschakelen na 5-10 sec. Dit zou nu moeten

werken. Zolang er geen beweging gedetecteerd wordt, zal de Floodlight uit blijven.

• Draai de LUX knop tegen de klok in tot de minimuminstelling. Als deze ingesteld

werd op minder dan 3 LUX (donker), zal de lichtsensor de lamp niet activeren

bij daglicht. Als u het detectievenster door een ondoorzichtig object (bv.

een handdoek) bedekt, zal de lamp aanschakelen. Zolang er geen beweging

gedetecteerd wordt, zal de lamp uitschakelen binnen 5-15 sec.

• Draai/roteer de bewegingssensor om het gewenste detectieveld te bepalen.

Voor een kleiner detectieveld; richt de de sensor naar beneden. Voor een

groter detectieveld, richt de sensor naar boven.

Opgelet: bij testen in daglicht, draait u de LUX knop naar de instelling

(ZON), anders zal de Floodlight niet beginnen branden!

Nota:

• Moet worden geïnstalleerd door een elektricien of een ervaren persoon

• Vermijd installatie op objecten die kunnen bewegen / krimpen / uitzetten...

MOGELIJKE PROBLEMEN

Indien de gevoeligheid minder of niet goed is:

• Zorg ervoor dat het detectievenster van de bewegingssensor vrij is van stof

en vuil aangezien deze de gevoeligheid kunnen beïnvloeden.

• Zorg ervoor dat de omgevingstemperatuur niet te hoog is.

• Zorg ervoor dat het te detecteren bewegingssignaal zich binnen het

detectieveld bevindt.

• Zorg ervoor dat de installatiehoogte overeenkomt met de aanbevolen

hoogte (tussen 4.0~10.0m).

• Zorg ervoor dat de bewegingssensor juist gemonteerd en georiënteerd

werd om bewegingssignalen te kunnen opvangen.

Indien de Floodlight niet automatisch uit gaat:

• Zorg ervoor dat er zich geen continue bewegingssignaal binnen het

detectieveld bevindt.

• Zorg ervoor dat de TIME-instelling niet ingesteld staat op het maximum.

• Zorg ervoor dat de stroom/bedrading juist verbonden werd.

• Zorg ervoor dat de temperatuur in de buurt van de sensor niet snel kan

veranderen als gevolg van bv. airconditioning, centrale verwarming, ....

2) TIME INSTELLEN

De TIME instelknop bepaalt hoe lang de

Floodlight zal blijven branden nadat de

laatste beweging gedetecteerd werd.

• Draai de TIME instelknop tegen de

klok in om de tijdsduur te verhogen

(tot ong. 7 minuten)

• Draai de TIME instelknop met de klok

mee om de tijdsduur te verlagen (tot

ong. 10 sec.)

3) LUX INSTELLEN

De LUX instelknop bepaalt op welk lichtniveau de

Floodlight zal beginnen branden, m.a.w. deze bestuurt

als het ware de ingebouwde lichtsensor.

• Draai de LUX instelknop tijdelijk tegen de klok in tot

de ‘maan’ ( )instelling (schemering).

In deze voorlopige instelling zal de bewegingssensor

niet aanschakelen bij daglicht.

• Bij schemering wanneer u denkt dat het ideale

moment aangebroken is dat de lamp actief mag

beginnen worden, zet u de LUX in de positie waarbij

de lamp operatief mag worden zodra het begint te

schemeren.

4) SENS INSTELLEN

De SENS instelknop regelt de

gevoeligheid, het detectiebereik: laagste

gevoeligheid = detecteert alle beweging

binnen 5 meter, hoogste gevoeligheid =

detecteert alle beweging binnen 12m.

• Draai de SENS instelknop tegen de

klok in om de gevoeligheid te verlagen

(laagste niveau = binnen 5 m)

• Draai de SENS instelknop met de klok

mee om de gevoeligheid te verhogen

(hoogste niveau= binnen 12 m)

WERKING

Schakel de wandschakelaar aan (indien van toepassing). Als de sensor beweging

detecteert, wordt de Floodlight automatisch ingeschakeld. De ingebouwde

lichtsensor schakelt de sensor uit op basis van de licht en tijdniveau’s ingesteld

door de LUX en TIME knop.

PROBLEEMOPLOSSING

Floodlight gaat niet aan:

• Zorg ervoor dat u een juiste bekabeling hebt uitgevoerd, de

stroomlading correct is en er tussen de 85~240V stroom is.

Slechte/verminderde gevoeligheid:

• Zorg ervoor dat de LUX knop correct ingesteld werd

• Zorg ervoor dat de SENS knop correct ingesteld werd

(zie ook “Instellingen/ 1. test modus / mogelijke problemen”)

Floodlight blijft branden:

• Zorg ervoor dat u een juiste bekabeling hebt uitgevoerd

• Zorg ervoor dat de TIME knop correct ingesteld werd

• Zorg ervoor dat de LUX knop correct ingesteld werd
