APPLYING YOUR

MAGNETIC POLISH

It is important to apply 2-in-1 Varnish as a base coat to

your nails before applying your Magnetic Polish. This

will help prolong the life of your polish and also stops

any staining on the natural nail plate.

After the Base coat has dried fully, you are ready to

apply your Magnetic Polish.

Remove applicator brush from the Magnetic Polish and

remove excess by wiping one side of the brush against

the neck of the bottle.

NOTE: Do NOT overload the brush.

Starting at the centre of the nail leaving a gap 1mm

away from the cuticle, brush the polish towards the free

edge in one smooth motion.

Immediately proceed with the sides of the nail in the

same manner.

Allow 10 minutes for the first coat to dry before

applying a second coat.

BEFORE YOU START

Your treatment area should be a flat surface covered with a towel or

disposable covering. Any spilled polish will be difficult to remove

from clothes, furniture and carpets.

PREPARE NATURAL NAIL

This is the most important part of applying nail polish, if the nails are not

correctly prepared the polish will not have a silky smooth salon finish and may

not last as long.

Follow each of these steps carefully and thoroughly.

We suggest you work on one hand at a time.

Remove jewellery and any nail varnish or nail products.

File and shape nails to a uniform length if necessary

using the Large Grit File.

TIP: go from corner to centre in one direction, using

the groove on the side of your nail as a guide.

Wash and dry hands or feet thoroughly, paying

particular attention to the nails.

Gently push back the cuticles with the Hoof Stick and

remove ALL residual skin cells from the nail plate

surface. Skin cells contain oils and moisture which will

weaken the bond of the polish on the nail plate.

LIGHTLY buff over the nail plate with the white Sanding

Block to remove surface shine and any ridges.

TIP: check if ridges have been filed flat by feeling over

the surface of the nail. Often you can still see the

ridges even though they have actually been filed flat.

Brush away dust using a tissue, take care to remove all

dust particles.

Now apply the Nail Prep to remove all oils and

dehydrate the nail plate.

Remove the applicator brush from the Nail Prep and

remove excess by wiping one side of the brush against

the neck of the bottle.

Starting at the centre of the nail leaving a gap 1mm

away from the cuticle, brush towards the free edge in

one smooth motion.

Immediately proceed with the sides of the nail in the

same manner.

NOTE: Do NOT touch the nail surface after this

stage as your fingers will transfer natural oils from

the skin onto the nail.

Once the Nail Prep has fully evaporated

You are ready to apply the 2-in-1 Varnish.

Hold the magnet in place for 10-15 seconds. Holding

the magnet for longer will give you a clearer design.

NOTE: If the layer of Magnetic Polish is too thick

some of the Polish can be drawn up onto the

magnet.

IMPORTANT: To remove the polish from the

magnet use a tissue IMMEDIATELY. Do NOT use

Acetone Solution as this will affect the surface of

the magnet.

Remove the magnet, move onto the next nail and

repeat steps 1 - 3.

NOTE: The centre of the design is usually in the

centre of the magnet, so make sure the magnet is

in the centre of your nail.

Allow a minimum of 60 minutes for the Magnetic Polish

to dry before applying the 2-in-1 Varnish.

NOTE: If 2-in-1 Varnish is applied before the

Magnetic Varnish has fully dried it will drag the

design created on the nail.

USING THE MAGNETS ON

SECOND COAT

The magnet works only with wet/ freshly painted nails, so when applying the

second coat you need to work on one nail at a time.

Paint a second coat of the Magnetic Polish over the

first nail.

Hold the magnet directly over the nail. Be careful that

the magnet does NOT rest or touch the nail.

NOTE: There is a small lip on the top of the

magnet, this can be rested on the finger just

above the cuticle.

TOP TIPS & AFTERCARE ADVICE

• Toavoidgetting airbubbles in yourpolish, ROLL the bottlebetween your

hands before application rather than shaking.

• Remember the most common cause of nail polish chipping is poor nail

preparation before applying your polish. Try to meticulously remove all

residual cuticle cells from the nail plate before proceeding to the next stage

and do NOT touch the nail plate after the preparation stage to prevent

contamination with skin oils. Apply Nail Prep before applying your 2-in-1

Varnish as a base coat.

• To prolong the life of your new nails do NOT use detergents, such as

washing powders or washing-up liquid, or bleach without wearing rubber

gloves.
