(non-abrasive). After cleaning, leave the parts to dry in an open, clean environment.
Disinfection
The accessories which can be disinfected are nebulizer kit, mouthpiece, nasal washer and nasal
aspirator. You can choose one of the methods described below.
Method A: wash with a commercial (bacterial-germicidal) disinfectant and follow the instructions
and dilution rates supplied by the disinfectant manufacturer carefully.
Method B: boil each of the parts in water for 15~20 minutes, it is preferable to use de-mineralized
or distilled water to prevent calcium deposits.
It is eective on the parts that undergo this treatment only if the parts to be treated have previously
been sanitized. After cleaning, leave the parts to dry in an open, clean environment.
Note:
• For the rst time cleaning or after the unit has been stored for an extended period of time,
thoroughly clean all components, except the air tube. The nebulizer kit is dishwasher safe.
• Adult and Child mask can only be washed at <40°C(104°F)
• Never clean with benzene, thinner or a ammable chemical.
• After washing with the commercial disinfectant, please rinse with clean warm water and dry
thoroughly before using.

E-3 Operating your nasal aspirator
Dry and very thick mucus inside the nose may be dissolved by saline solution. Nasal washer is
recommended to be used before using nasal aspirator to help remove nasal mucus and secretions.
1. Turn the power switch to the “Nasal Aspirator” (=) position.
2. Place your index nger over the opening on the nasal aspirator to activate the aspiration.
3. Adjust the level of vacuum turning vacuum regulator, and check that the unit makes the vacuum
without any leakage and this level varies when the vacuum regulator is acted on.
Note: Turn the vacuum regulator clockwise, in the “+” direction, to obtain a higher vacuum; or
anti-clockwise for a lower vacuum.
4. Insert the silicone tip into one of the nostrils gently. Use the aspirator for 3 seconds for 4 times
per nostril.
 Caution:
• Before using the nasal aspirator, try it on the hand to see if the aspiration works.
• The nasal aspirator is applicable to baby. Keep your baby in a comfortable position and make
sure that his/her head is lifted.
• While using, keep the aspirator in the uprigh t position with the nger opening on top, and the
collection chamber should be emptied when the stem inside the unit is overlled with sucked
mucus. This prevents the mucus from entering the suction pump.
• Do not tilt or place the nasal aspirator on the table before turning o the device.
Note:
• Air lters cannot be cleaned or washed.
• Only NK1000 air lters can be used. Do not substitute alternate material such as cotton.
