Important safety instructions

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

READ CAREFULLY AND STORE FOR FUTURE USE.

■This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and

older and by persons with physical or mental impairments

or by inexperienced persons, if they are properly supervised

or have been informed about how to use the product in

asafe manner and understand the potential dangers.

■Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning

and maintenance performed by the user must not be

performed by unsupervised children.

■In the event that the power cord is damaged, have it

repaired at aprofessional service centre to prevent

causing adangerous situation. It is forbidden to use the

appliance if it has adamaged power cord.

■The fan is not intended to be mounted on external

windows or walls.

■Ensure that the fan is disconnected from the mains power

supply before removing the protective grille.

■ Before connecting the appliance to apower socket, check that the rated voltage on its rating label matches the electrical voltage in the power socket.

■ Connect the appliance only to aproperly grounded socket.

■ The appliance is designed for use at home, in offices and similar types of areas. Do not use it in very dusty or humid rooms such as laundries or bathrooms,

in areas where chemical or explosive substances are stored, in industrial surroundings or outdoors!

■ Do not place the appliance in the vicinity of an open flame or appliances that are sources of heat.

■ Prevent the fan, the power cord and the power plug from coming into contact with ahot surface.

■ To prevent injury by electrical shock, do not submerge the fan, the power cord or the power plug in water or any other liquid or rinse these under running

water.

■ Always turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the power socket when leaving it without supervision, when not using it and before assembling,

disassembling or cleaning it.

■ Disconnect the appliance from the power socket by pulling on the plug, never pulling on the power cord. Otherwise, this could damage the power cord or

the socket.

■ Make sure that the power cord does not hang over the edge of atable or that it is not touching ahot surface. Do not place the appliance on unstable

surfaces such as carpets with very long and thick fibres. Only place the the appliance on aclean, even, dry and smooth surface.

■ Do not subject children, older persons or persons that are bed-bound to the effects of flowing cold air for an extended period of time.

■ Do not cover the appliance with any items while it is running.

■ Avoid coming into contact with the rotating parts of the appliance. Never insert your fingers or other items through the protective grille when the appliance

is plugged into apower socket. This applies particularly when the appliance is in operation.

■ Do not use the appliance if it is not working correctly, if it has been damaged or has been submerged in water. To avoid ahazardous situation arising, do not

repair the appliance yourself or modify it in any way. Have all repairs performed at an authorised service centre. By tampering with the appliance, you risk

voiding your legal rights arising from unsatisfactory performance or quality warranty.
