Before using the device for the rst timeƂ
r 4 emove all packing material.
r 4 Ƃ emove the protective lm on the underside of the device.
r Check that the device is undamaged. A damaged device must never be used.
Charging
WARNING!
~The device must not be covered while the battery is charged.
~The device must only be charged in a dry environment.
NOTES:
r When using a USB power unit (not included in items supplied), comply with
its user instructions. The USB power unit must be able to output at least 1A
output current.
r Charge the battery fully before using the device.
r | The maximum battery capacity is reached after approx. - charging cycles.
r At a battery capacity of less than approx. 10%, an audio signal will sound
once and the charging LED

will light up red until the device automatical-
ly switches itself off.
r | | The charging time of an empty battery is approx. 2-2. hours. It is possible
to play back during the charging process, however, this extends the charg-
ing time.
1. Connect the micro USB plug of the USB charger cable| to the micro USB
port|3 of the device.
2. Connect the USB-A plug of the USB charger cable e.g. to the USB port of |
a PC or to a USB power unit (not included in scope of supply). The charging
LED| is lit red and goes off when the battery is fully charged

NOTE: depending on the software of the mobile device it may be that not all
functions of all mobile devices are supported. This is not a device error.

Establishing a Bluetooth connection
NOTES:
r The identiƂcation of the loudspeaker is “SBL| |3 A1”.
r After turning it on, the loudspeaker automatically tries to reconnect to the last
paired device or to establish a new connection.
r Please observe that the establishing of the connection may vary slightly de-
pending on the audio device and the software used.
r The Bluetooth range is 10 metres.
r The loudspeaker switches off if no Bluetooth connection can be established
within 10|minutes.
r With moderate volume settings, the loudspeaker can be used for a period of
approx. 1|hours with the Bluetooth connection established.

r If you pass the loudspeaker on to someone else, in order to protect your
data and your privacy, you should disconnect the Bluetooth connection to
the device and delete it from the connection list on your smartphone.
1. If necessary, remove the plug of the 3. from the |mm stereo jack cable|

connection. The audio device will now receive the device identiƂcation

. Establish a connection to the Bluetooth speaker on the audio device. Both
devices are now interconnected. The LED ashes slowly | on the device ƃ
in white and an audio signal sounds.
NOTE: it is possible that audio devices remember the identiƂcation of the
loudspeaker. Thus it is possible that a new connection may not be have to
be established manually while the Bluetooth function is active.
5. Now play back a music track on the audio device. The sound is played
back via the loudspeaker .|5
r Charge the battery before storing the device away for a prolonged period.
Please note that if the device is stored for too long, this may reduce the bat-
tery capacity. Avoid a deep discharge of the battery.

your device is provided with a 3 year warranty starting with the purchase date.
In the event of product defects, you are entitled to statutory rights against the
vendor. These statutory rights are not restricted by our warranty presented in
the following.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts with the purchase date. Please keep the original pur-
chase receipt in a safe place. This document is required to verify the purchase.
If within three years from the purchase date of this product a material or factory
defect occurs, the product will be repaired or replaced by us – at our discre-
tion|– free of charge to you. This warranty implies that within the period of
three years the defective device and the purchase receipt are presented, includ-
ing a brief written description of the defect and the time it occurred.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired or a new product will be
returned to you. No new warranty period starts with a repair or replacement of
the product.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not extended when the warranty has been claimed. This

Playing music using the cable
NOTE: a playback via a cable, this connection has priority over the Bluetooth
connection. A possibly existing Bluetooth connection will be interrupted.
1. Plug the jack of the 3.5|mm stereo jack cable into the headphone socket |
of the sound source (e.g. MP3 player, telephone) and the jack socket on |4
the loudspeaker.
2. Switch on the sound source.
3. Switch the loudspeaker on using the button
| |6. The LED is lit green.
. Press PLAY on the sound source. The sound is played back via the loud-
speaker .|5
5. Set the volume on the sound source to the maximum level and adjust the vol-
ume on the device using the buttons

be chosen via the sound source.
Mute the device by pressing button X 8.
Cleaning / storing if not in use
NOTES:
r Disconnect all cable connections.
r Switch on the device using the button

r Clean the device with a slightly damp cloth. Solvents, spirits, thinners etc.
must not be used, as they can damage the surface of the device.
r When not using the device, store it in a place where neither high tempera-
tures nor moisture can affect it.
Disconnect the Bluetooth connection and search the
new device
If you want to connect another device to the loudspeaker via Bluetooth pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The loudspeaker is switched on and Bluetooth is activated.
2. Press the button
 until you hear a sound and the operating LED 
ƃ Ƃashes rapidly. The identi cation of the loudspeaker is sent.
3. Proceed as described under “Establishing a Bluetooth connection”.
Disconnect the Bluetooth connection
In order to disconnect the Bluetooth connection, select one of the following
options:
r Press the button
|6 until the loudspeaker is switched off.
r Press the button
 until you hear a sound and the operating LED 
ƃashes rapidly.
r Plug a jack into the jack socket|4 on the loudspeaker. The operating
LED  is lit green.
r The connection is also disconnected if the connected devices are set up
too far apart from each other or obstacles interfere the radio link.
