Please carefully follow the instructions in this manual to ensure long, trouble-free use of your equipment.
1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•Beforeinstallationoruse,besuretocarefullyreadalltheinstructionsinthissectionforcorrectandsafe
operation.
•Besuretofollowalltheprecautionaryinstructionsinthissection,whichcontainimportantwarningsand/or
cautionsregardingsafety.
•Afterreading,keepthismanualhandyforfuturereference.
Indicatesapotentiallyhazardoussituationwhich,
ifmishandled,couldresultindeathorserious
personal injury.
WARNING
When Installing the Speaker
•Referallinstallationworktothedealerfromwhom
thespeakerwaspurchased.Installationrequires
extensivetechnicalknowledgeandexperience.
Thespeakermayfalloffifincorrectlyinstalled,
resulting in possible personal injury.
•Installthespeakeronlyinalocationthatcan
structurallysupporttheweightofthespeakerand
the mounting bracket. Doing otherwise may result
inthespeakerfallingdownandcausingpersonal
injuryand/orpropertydamage.
•Wheninstallingthespeakerinthesnowyarea,take
appropriate measures to prevent snow from lying
on the speaker. If the snow lies on the speaker, the
speaker may fall, causing personal injuries.
•Donotuseothermethodsthanspeciedtomount
thebracket.Extremeforceisappliedtothespeaker
andthespeakercouldfalloff,possiblyresultingin
personal injuries.
•Attachthesafetywiretothespeaker.Ifnotattached,
thespeakercouldfalloff,resultinginpersonal
injury.
•Usenutsandboltsthatareappropriateforthe
ceiling’sorwall’sstructureandcomposition.Failure
todosomaycausethespeakertofall,resultingin
materialdamageandpossiblepersonalinjury.
•Tighteneachnutandboltsecurely.Ensurethat
the bracket has no loose joints after installation
topreventaccidentsthatcouldresultinpersonal
injury.
•Donotmountthespeakerinlocationsexposed
to constant vibration. The mounting bracket can
bedamagedbyexcessivevibration,potentially
causingthespeakertofall,whichcouldresultin
personal injury.
•Donotuseanti-rustlubricant.Ifitcontactsresinor
rubberparts,theycoulddeteriorateandcausethe
speaker to fall, possibly resulting in personal injury.
•Avoidinstallingthespeakerinalocationclose
to the seashore or inlocationsexposedto
corrosive gas. In such locations, the bracket may
be vulnerable to corrosion, eventually allowing
the speaker to fall resulting in personal injury.
•Donotinstallthespeakerinindoorswimming
poolsorsuchlocationswhereliquidchemicalsare
used.Thepartsdeteriorateifcorroded,causingthe
speakertofall,whichcouldresultinpersonalinjury.
•
Toavoidaccidentalairexplosions,donotusethe
speakeraroundgasoline,thinnerorothercombustibles.
When the Speaker is in Use
•Shouldthefollowingirregularitybefoundduring
use,immediatelyswitchofftheamplier’spower,
disconnectthepowersupplyplugfromtheAC
outletandcontactyournearestTOAdealer.Make
no further attempt to operate the speaker in this
conditionasthismaycausereorelectricshock.
·Ifyoudetectsmokeorastrangesmellcoming
from the speaker.
·
If water or any metallic object gets into the speaker.
· If the speaker falls, or the speaker case breaks.
