1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• Beforeinstallationoruse,besuretocarefullyread

all the instructions in this section for correct and

safeoperation.

• Besuretofollowalltheprecautionaryinstructions

in this section, which contain important warnings

and/orcautionsregardingsafety.

• After reading, keep this manual handy for future

reference.

• Do not expose the unit to rain or an environment

whereitmaybesplashedbywaterorotherliquids,

asdoingsomayresultinreorelectricshock.

• Avoid installing or mounting the unit in unstable

locations, such as on a rickety table or a slanted

surface. Doing so may result in the unit falling

downandcausingpersonalinjuryand/orproperty

damage.

• Since the unit is designed for indoor use, do not

installitoutdoors.Ifinstalledoutdoors,theagingof

partscausestheunittofalloff,resultinginpersonal

injury. Also, when it gets wet with rain, there is a

dangerofelectricshock.

• Donottouchtheantennacableduringthunderand

lightning,asthismayresultinelectricshock.

• Avoidinstallingtheunitinhumidordustylocations,

inlocationsexposedtothedirectsunlight,nearthe

heaters, or in locations generating sooty smoke

or steam as doing otherwise may result in re or

electricshock.

• Install the unit only in stable locations, and make

appropriatearrangementstopreventitfromfalling

down or rolling cross the oor. If it falls down or

moves, this may cause personal injury and/or

propertydamage.

• Avoid placing the unit in a doorway or other high

trafc area as people may trip on the equipment

andcords,orbeinjuredbyfallingobjects.

• LeavetheinstallationtheantennatoyourTOAdealer

becausetheinstallationrequiresexpertknowledge.

Improperinstallationmaycausetheantennatofall,

resultinginpersonalinjuryorelectricshock.

• When connecting the antenna cable to the target

unit,turnofftheunit’spower.

 Doingotherwisemaycauseelectricshock.

• Never plug in nor remove the antenna cable with

wethands,asdoingsomaycauseelectricshock.

• Donotforciblypullontheantennacable,asdoing

somaycausetheconnecteddevicetofall,resulting

inpersonalinjury.

• Be sure to disconnect the antenna cable when

moving the antenna. Otherwise, people may trip

overtheantennacable andthe connected device

mayfall,resultinginpersonalinjury.

• Note the following points to prevent the antenna

cable from being damaged. If damaged, replace

withanewone.Failuretodosomayresultinreor

electricshock.

· Wheninsertingorremovingtheantennacable,be

suretograspitsconnector.

· Neverheatnorplaceitnearheaters.

· Install it at a location where it is not carelessly

damaged.

2. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

TheYW-7520andYW-7570areantennasfortheTRANTEC

UHF band wireless system. They are designed to be

mountedonamicrophonestand(optional).

3. FEATURES

• AnomnidirectionalantennaYW-7520designedfor

receivingradiosignalfromall360°directions.

• AdirectionalantennaYW-7570designedforhaving

higherreceivingsensitivityinthedirectionalangle

comparedwithanomnidirectionalantenna.

4. NOMENCLATURE AND FUNCTIONS

5. HANDLING PRECAUTIONS

• Place the antenna where a talker having the wireless

microphonecandirectlyseeit.

• For the YW-7570, point the element’s shorter (narrow)

sidetowardthemicrophonetalker.

• Installtheantennaattheheightofover1.5m(4.92ft).

• Mounttheunitonthe oormicrophonestand with5/8"

(NS5/8)or3/8"(W3/8)thread.

• Installtheunitover3m(9.84ft)awayfromthewindows

whenusedinupperoorroomstosuppressinuenceof

externalnoise.

• Keep the unit over 3 m (9.84 ft) from the wireless

microphone. Otherwise, idle channels may operate or

interferencemayoccur.

• When using a diversity tuner, keep over 5 m (16.4 ft)

apartbetweenantennas.

• Installtheunitover30cm(11.81")frommetalobjectsor

electricwiretopreventdeclineinreceivingsensitivityor

externalnoiseproblem.

• Ensurethe connectorconnection. Improper connection

may cause decline in receiving sensitivity or external

noiseproblem.

• Use the low loss high frequency coaxial cable for the

antennacable.

• Keepantennawiringasshortaspossible(roughly10m

or32.81ft).Toextenditmore,useanantennabooster.

 Fortheantennabooster,contactyourTOAdealer.

• Bending or breaking the antenna element sharply

reducesreceivingsensitivity.Handleitwithcare.

• SeparatelypreparethecoaxialcableandBNCplug.

• Never place heavy objects on the YW-7520/YW-7570

duringstorage.Itmaybedamaged.

• Neverafxmetallabeltotheantennaelement,asdoing

somaysharplyreducesreceivingsensitivity.
