Thank you for purchasing the VOX amPlug I/O Audio Interface with Tuner.

To take full advantage of this product and to ensure trouble-free operation,

please read this owner’s manual carefully and use the product as directed.

Installing Batteries

Remove the battery compartment cover. Insert

two AAA batteries as shown in the figure to

the left. Be sure to observe the correct polarity

when installing the batteries.Replace the bat-

teries when the power indicator becomes blink.

Note: Depleted batteries must be removed

from the amPlug I/O immediately. If you leave

them in, malfunctions such as battery leakage

may occur. You should also remove the batteries if you will not be using

the amPlug I/O for an extended period of time.

1. Input plug: Connect your guitar. Swivel the plug as shown. Adjust the

plug angle according to the guitar being used.

2. Power indicator: This indicates whether amPlug I/O is bus-powered or

self-powered (batteries) when it is turned on.

Lights up in green: Bus powered

Lights up in red: Self powered (batteries)

button (tuner power): This turns on/off amPlug I/O when it is self-

powered, or turns on/off the tuner. (→ “Tuning”)

4. USB port: This is where you would use the included USB cable to connect

amPlug I/O to a computer.

5. Battery/bus power switch: This switches the power being used.

“Connecting to the Computer”)

6. GUITAR switch: Adjust according to the output level of the guitar.

7. VOLUME control: This adjusts the output level of the PHONES jack.

8. PHONES jack: This is where you would connect headphones, a mixer

or a recording device.

9. LED meter: As with a meter on a tuner, this shows the shift in pitch

of each string.

Tip: When the

button is held down for approximately one second, the

remaining battery level is shown on the LED meter.

Connecting to the Computer

By connecting amPlug I/O to a computer running Windows 7 or later or

Mac OS 10.8 or later, audio can be recorded and played back. amPlug I/O

can also be used with an Apple iOS device (iOS 7 or later) by using the

Apple USB camera adapter (sold separately).

When connecting to an iOS device, use amPlug I/O on self-powered

(Batteries) mode.

About the VOX USB-ASIO driver (Windows only)

Before using the amPlug I/O, we recommend that you install the VOX

USB-ASIO driver. Download the VOX USB-ASIO driver from the VOX

website (www.voxamps.jp).

Using amPlug I/O Bus-Powered

Set the battery/bus power switch on amPlug I/O to “USB”, and then connect

amPlug I/O to the computer using the included USB cable. The power indi-

cator lights up in green, and amPlug I/O will operate as an audio interface.

When the USB cable is disconnected from the computer, amPlug I/O turns off.

Using amPlug I/O Self-Powered (Batteries)

Set the battery/bus power switch on amPlug I/O to “BATTERY”, and then

hold down the button for approximately one second. The power indicator

lights up in red, and amPlug I/O will operate as an audio interface/tuner.

Connect amPlug I/O to the iOS device or computer using the included USB cable.

When the USB cable is disconnected from the connected device, the audio

interface function turns off. To turn off the tuner function, hold down

the button for approximately one second.

Tip: If amPlug I/O is not connected to an iOS device or a computer when

the

button is held down for approximately one second, amPlug I/O

turns off (the audio interface and tuner functions turn off).

Tuning

1. Hold down the button for approximately one second.

The tuner function turns on, and the LED meter lights up.

When using amPlug I/O as a tuner, set the battery/bus power switch

to “BATTERY”. If amPlug I/O is not connected to a computer when

the battery/bus power switch is set to “USB” (bus powered), the tuner

function cannot be turned on, even if batteries are installed.

2. Play a single tone with the string that you want to tune.

From “

” in the LED meter, the LED for the string

number closest to the played tone will flash. Tune the string until the

LED for the string being tuned flashes.

3. Tune the string until “ ” at the center of the LED meter lights up. If the 

note is flat, “

” on the left side will light up. If the note is sharp,

“ ” on the right side will light up.

For flat tuning, press the

button while the tuner function is turned on.

“ b ” will light up, and the guitar can be tuned down a semitone. When

the button is pressed again, “ ” will turn off, and amPlug I/O will b

return to regular tuning.

To turn off the tuner function, hold down the button for approximately

one second. The LED meter turns off.

If there is no sound input for approximately 5 minutes while the tuner

function is turned on, amPlug I/O automatically turns off (power save

function). To use the tuner function again, press the button to turn it on.

Caution

•

When disconnecting amPlug I/O from your guitar, you must grasp

amPlug I/O near the base of its Input plug. If you grasp it at the end, you

risk breaking amPlug I/O.

•

Disconnect amPlug I/O from your guitar before leaning your guitar

against a wall or laying it on the floor. If you fail to do so, amPlug I/O or

your guitar may strike the floor and be damaged.

•

When connecting the USB cable to amPlug I/O, do not operate its

switches or the VOLUME control. Otherwise, the connected device may

be incorrectly detected.

Installation des piles

Retirez le couvercle du compartiment à piles.

Insérez deux piles AAA comme illustré. Veillez

à loger chaque pile en respectant la polarité.

Remplacez les piles quand le témoin s’éteint.

Remarque: Ne tardez jamais à retirer des

piles usées du amPlug I/O. Elles pourraient

en effet se mettre à couler et ainsi endom-

mager l’unité. Remplacez les piles quand le

témoin d’alimentation commence à clignoter.

1. Fiche d’entrée: Branchez cette fiche à votre guitare. Faites pivoter la fiche

comme illustré. Réglez l’angle de la fiche en fonction de l’instrument utilisé.

2. Témoin d’alimentation: Ce témoin indique à la mise sous tension si

l’interface amPlug I/O est alimentée via le bus ou sur piles.

Le témoin s’allume en vert: Alimentation via le bus

3. Bouton (alimentation de l’accordeur): Ce bouton met l’interface

amPlug I/O sous/hors tension quand elle est alimentée sur piles, ou active/

4. Port USB: Branchez-y le câble USB fourni pour relier l’interface amPlug

I/O à un ordinateur.

Astuce:

Quand vous maintenez le bouton enfoncé pendant environ une

seconde, les diodes de l’affichage indiquent le niveau résiduel des piles.

Connexion à un ordinateur

Combinée à un PC (système Windows 7 ou plus récent) ou Macintosh (système

Mac OS 10.6 ou plus récent), l’interface amPlug I/O permet d’enregistrer et

de reproduire le signal de l’instrument connecté. Vous pouvez aussi utiliser

l’interface amPlug I/O avec un dispositif Apple iOS (iPad ou iPhone) en vous

procurant l’adaptateur pour appareil photo USB de Apple (disponible en option).

Quand vous utilisez l’interface amPlug I/O avec un dispositif iOS,

choisissez le mode d’alimentation sur piles (“BATTERY”).

À propos du pilote VOX USB-ASIO (Windows uniquement)

Avant d’utiliser l’interface amPlug I/O, nous vous recommandons d’installer

le pilote VOX USB-ASIO. Téléchargez le pilote VOX USB-ASIO sur le site

Einlegen der Batterien

Entnehmen Sie die Blende des Batteriefachs.

Legen Sie zwei AAA-Batterien wie in

der Abbildung gezeigt ein. Beachten

Sie beim Einlegen die Polarität. Wenn

die Betriebsanzeige blinkt, müssen die

Batterien ausgewechselt werden.

ACHTUNG: Erschöpfte Batterien müssen

so schnell wie möglich aus dem amPlug I/O

entfernt werden, weil sie sonst eventuell

auslaufen und Schäden verursachen. Entfernen Sie die Batterien außerdem,

wenn Sie den amPlug I/O längere Zeit nicht verwenden möchten.

1. Input-Stecker: Zum Anschluss an Ihre Gitarre. Wie in der Abbildung

gezeigt, ist der Stecker drehbar. So können Sie den Winkel des Steckers

an Ihre Gitarre anpassen.

2. Betriebsanzeige: Anhand der Betriebsanzeige sehen Sie, ob Ihr amPlug

I/O Bus-gespeist oder im Batteriebetrieb läuft.

Leuchtet grün: Bus-gespeist

Leuchtet rot: Batteriebetrieb

-Taste (Stimmgerät ein/aus): Hiermit schalten Sie den amPlug I/O im

Batteriebetrieb ein und aus oder aktivieren das Stimmgerät. ( „Stimmen“)→

4. USB-Port: Hierüber können Sie mithilfe des beiliegenden USB-Kabels

Ihren amPlug I/O an einen Computer anschließen.

5. Batterie/Bus-Speisung-Schalter: Zur Auswahl der Art der

Stromversorgung. ( „Anschluss an einen Computer“)→

6. GUITAR-Schalter: Zur Anpassung an den Ausgangspegel Ihrer Gitarre.

7. VOLUME-Regler: Regelt den Pegel am Kopfhörerausgang (PHONES-Buchse).

8. PHONES-Buchse: Hier kann ein Kopfhörer, ein Mischpult oder ein

Aufnahmegerät angeschlossen werden.

9. LED-Anzeige: Zeigt wie die Anzeige eines Stimmgeräts die

Tonhöhenabweichung jeder Saite.

Anschluss an einen Computer

Wenn Sie den amPlug I/O an einen Computer mit Windows 7 oder später bzw. Mac

OS 10.6 oder später anschließen, können Sie Audioaufnahmen machen und diese

wiedergeben. Sie können den amPlug I/O auch mithilfe des separat erhältlichen Apple

USB Kameraadapters mit einem Apple iOS-Gerät (iPad oder iPhone) verwenden.

Schalten Sie den amPlug I/O auf Batteriebetrieb, wenn Sie ihn an ein

iOS-Gerät anschließen.

Bevor Sie den amPlug I/O verwenden, empfehlen wir die Installation des

Instalando las pilas

Quita la tapa del compartimento de las pilas. Inserta dos pilas tamaño AAA

como se muestra en la figura. Asegúrate de que

la polaridad es la correcta. Reemplaza las pilas

cuando el indicador parpadee.

Nota: las pilas agotadas deben ser reemplazadas

del amPlug I/O inmediatamente. Si las dejas

dentro, puede ocurrir una avería debido a

pérdidas del ácido que contienen. Igualmente,

es conveniente que quites las pilas si no lo vas

a usar durante un largo periodo de tiempo.

1. Conector de entrada: Conéctalo a tu guitarra. Gira el conector como se mues-

tra en la figura. Ajusta el ángulo del conector según la guitarra que utilices.

2. Indicador de alimentación: Indica si el amPlug I/O se está alimentando

por bus o por pilas cuando está encendido.

Si se ilumina en verde: alimentación por bus.

Si se ilumina en rojo: alimentación por pilas.

3. Botón

(activación del afinador): Aquí se enciende/apaga el amPlug

I/O cuando está alimentado por pilas, y también se activa/desactiva el

afinador. (→ “Afinación”)

4. Puerto USB: Aquí se conecta el cable USB incluido para conectar el

amPlug I/O a un ordenador.

5. Interruptor de alimentación por pilas/bus: Con este interruptor se selec-

ciona la alimentación que se va a utilizar. (→ “Conexión a un ordenador”)

6. Interruptor GUITAR: Ajústalo de acuerdo al nivel de salida de la guitarra.

7. Control VOLUME: Aquí se ajusta el nivel de salida del jack PHONES.

8. Jack PHONES: Aquí puedes conectar unos auriculares, un mezclador

o un grabador.

9. Medidor de leds: Funciona igual que el medidor de un afinador, mos-

trando la variación de tono (afinación) de cada cuerda.

Consejo:

Si mantienes pulsado el botón durante aproximadamente un segun-

do, en el medidor de leds se mostrará el nivel de carga que queda en las pilas.

Conexión a un ordenador

Si conectas el amPlug I/O a un ordenador con sistema operativo Windows 7 o

posterior, o Mac OS 10.6 o posterior, podrás grabar y reproducir audio. El amPlug

I/O también se puede utilizar con dispositivos iOS de Apple (iPad o iPhone) conec-

tándolo mediante el adaptador para cámara USB de Apple (se vende por separado).

Cuando lo conectes a un dispositivo iOS de Apple, utiliza el amPlug

I/O con alimentación por pilas.

Acerca del controlador (driver) VOX USB-ASIO (solo para Windows)

Antes de utilizar el amPlug I/O, te recomendamos que instales el controlador VOX

USB-ASIO. Puedes descargarlo desde el sitio web de VOX (www.voxamps.jp).

Alimentation de l’interface amPlug I/O via bus USB

1. Réglez le sélecteur d’alimentation de l’interface amPlug I/O sur “USB”,

puis branchez l’interface à l’ordinateur avec le câble USB fourni. Le témoin

d’alimentation s’allume en vert et l’amPlug I/O fonctionne comme une

interface audio conventionnelle.

2. Quand vous débranchez le câble USB de l’ordinateur, l’interface amPlug

I/O est mise hors tension.

Alimentation sur piles de l’interface amPlug I/O

Réglez le sélecteur d’alimentation de l’interface amPlug I/O sur “BATTERY”,

puis maintenez le bouton enfoncé pendant environ une seconde. Le

témoin d’alimentation s’allume en rouge et l’amPlug I/O fonctionne

comme une interface audio conventionnelle combinée à un accordeur.

2. Branchez l’interface amPlug I/O à un dispositif iOS ou ordinateur avec le

câble USB fourni.

3. Quand vous débranchez le câble USB du dispositif, la fonction d’interface

audio est désactivée. Pour couper la fonction accordeur, maintenez le bouton

enfoncé pendant environ une seconde.

Astuce: Si l’interface amPlug I/O n’est reliée ni à un dispositif iOS ni à un

ordinateur quand vous maintenez le bouton enfoncé pendant environ

une seconde, elle se met alors hors tension (les fonctions d’interface audio

et d’accordeur sont désactivées).

Accordage

1. Maintenez le bouton enfoncé pendant environ une seconde.

La fonction accordeur est activée et les diodes de l’affichage s’allument.

Pour utiliser la fonction accordeur de l’interface amPlug I/O, réglez son

sélecteur d’alimentation sur “BATTERY”. Si l’interface amPlug I/O n’est pas

connectée à un ordinateur quand vous réglez son sélecteur d’alimentation

sur “USB” (alimentation via le bus USB), la fonction accordeur ne sera

pas disponible, même si des piles sont logées dans l’interface.

2. Jouez une note isolée sur la corde à accorder.

Le numéro de la corde la plus proche de la note jouée clignote alors dans les

diodes “ ” de l’affichage d’accordeur. Accordez la corde

jusqu’à ce que la diode correspondant à la corde jouée se mette à clignoter.

3. Accordez la corde de sorte que “ ” s’allume au centre de l’affichage. 

Si la

note est trop basse, “ ” s’illumine à gauche de l’affichage. Si

la note est trop haute, “ ” s’illumine à droite de l’affichage.

Pour activer l’accord en bémol, appuyez sur le bouton quand la fonction

accordeur est active. “ b ” s’allume et vous pouvez abaisser l’accord d’un demi-ton.

Une nouvelle pression sur le bouton éteint “ ” et active le mode b

d’accordage standard de l’interface amPlug I/O.

4. Pour couper la fonction accordeur, maintenez le bouton enfoncé pendant

environ une seconde. Les diodes de l’affichage d’accordeur s’éteignent.

Si vous ne produisez aucun son sur l’instrument pendant environ 5 minutes

en mode d’accordeur, l’interface amPlug I/O est automatiquement mise

hors tension (fonction d’économie d’énergie). Pour réactiver la fonction

accordeur, appuyez sur le bouton de sorte qu’il s’allume.

Attention

•

Pour débrancher amPlug I/O de la guitare, tenez amPlug I/O près de

la base de sa fiche d’entrée. Si vous le tenez à l’extrémité, vous risquez

d’endommager amPlug I/O.

• Débranchez amPlug I/O de la guitare avant de la poser contre un mur ou

de la déposer par terre. Faute de quoi, amPlug I/O ou la guitare risque

de heurter le sol et de s’endommager.

• Quand vous connectez le câble USB à l’interface amPlug I/O, ne mani-

pulez jamais ses commutateurs ou sa commande VOLUME. Sans cela, le

dispositif connecté ne pourra pas être détecté correctement.

Den amPlug I/O im Batteriebetrieb betreiben

Stellen Sie denn Batterie/Bus-Speisung-Schalter des amPlug I/O auf

Sie die -Taste etwa eine Sekunde lang gedrückt.

Tipp: Wenn der amPlug I/O als Standalone-Stimmgerät verwendet wird,

können Sie ihn ausschalten, indem Sie die

-Taste etwa eine Sekunde

lang gedrückt halten.

Stimmen

1. Halten Sie die -Taste etwa eine Sekunde lang gedrückt.

Die Stimmfunktion wird aktiviert, und die LED-Anzeige leuchtet auf.

Wenn Sie den amPlug I/O als Stimmgerät verwenden wollen, stellen Sie

den Batterie/Bus-Speisung-Schalter auf „BATTERY“. Falls der Batterie/

Bus-Speisung-Schalter auf „USB“ steht, können Sie den amPlug I/O nicht

als Standalone-Stimmgerät einschalten, selbst wenn Batterien eingelegt sind.

2. Schlagen Sie die Saite an, die Sie stimmen möchten.

In der LED-Anzeige blinkt unter „

“ die LED auf,

deren Nummer am ehesten dem gespielten Ton entspricht. Stimmen Sie

gegebenenfalls die Saite, bis die dieser Saite entsprechende LED blinkt.

3. Stimmen Sie die Seite, bis „“ in der Mitte der LED-Anzeige leuchtet.

Ist die Saite zu tief gestimmt, leuchten die „

“ links davon. Ist

die Saite zu hoch gestimmt, leuchten die „

“ rechts davon.

Um die Gitarre tiefer zu stimmen, drücken Sie bei aktivierter Stimmfunktion

die -Taste. In der Anzeige erscheint ein „ “, und Sie können die b

Gitarre einen Halbton tiefer stimmen. Wenn Sie die -Taste erneut

drücken, erlischt das „ “, und der amPlug I/O kehrt wieder zur norb -

malen Stimmung zurück.

4. Um die Stimmfunktion zu deaktivieren, halten Sie die

-Taste etwa

eine Sekunde lang gedrückt. Die LED-Anzeige erlischt.

Falls bei aktivierter Stimmfunktion etwa 5 Minuten lang kein

Eingangssignal anliegt, schaltet sich der amPlug I/O automatisch ab

(Energiesparfunktion). Schalten Sie ihn mit der -Taste ein, um die

Stimmfunktion wieder zu aktivieren.

Vorsicht

•

Beim Lösen der Verbindung zwischen dem amPlug I/O und der Gitarre sollten Sie

vor allem am Sockel in der Nähe des Input-Steckers am amPlug I/O ziehen. Wenn

Sie beim Ziehen die Seiten festhalten, könnten Sie den amPlug I/O beschädigen.

•

Ziehen Sie den amPlug I/O aus der Gitarrenbuchse, bevor Sie letztere an eine Wand

lehnen oder flach auf den Boden legen. Wenn Sie das nämlich vergessen, könnte

entweder der amPlug I/O oder die Gitarre beim Abstellen beschädigt werden.

•

Wenn Sie das USB-Kabel am amPlug I/O anschließen, bedienen Sie weder

Schalter noch VOLUME-Regler. Andernfalls könnte das angeschlossene

Gerät nicht richtig erkannt werden.

Utilización del amPlug I/O con alimentación por bus

Afinación

1. Mantén pulsado el botón durante aproximadamente un segundo.

La función de afinador se activa y se ilumina el medidor de leds.

Cuando utilices el amPlug I/O como afinador, pon el interruptor de

alimentación por pilas/bus en “BATTERY”. Si no conectas el amPlug

I/O a un ordenador cuando el interruptor de alimentación por pilas/

bus está puesto en “USB” (alimentación por bus), no es posible activar

la función de afinador, incluso aunque haya pilas instaladas.

2. Toca la cuerda que quieras afinar, pulsándola al aire una sola vez.

El led correspondiente al número de la cuerda más cercana al tono tocado

se iluminará intermitentemente en la escala “ ” del

medidor de leds. Afina la cuerda hasta que se ilumine intermitentemente

el led de la cuerda que estás afinando.

Afina la cuerda hasta que se ilumine “ ”, situado en el centro del medidor 

de leds. Si la nota está baja (tiende hacia bemol), se iluminará “

” en la parte izquierda. Si la nota está alta (tiende hacia sostenido), se

iluminará “ ” en la parte derecha.

Para afinar en bemol, pulsa el botón

mientras la función de afinador

está activada. Se iluminará “

b ” y entonces la guitarra puede afinarse

un semitono más abajo. Si vuelves a pulsar el botón otra vez, “ b ”

se apagará y el amPlug I/O volverá a su función de afinación normal.

Para desactivar la función de afinador, mantén pulsado el botón

durante aproximadamente un segundo. Se apagará el medidor de leds.

Si no hay ninguna entrada de sonido durante aproximadamente 5 minutos

mientras está activada la función de afinador, el amPlug I/O se apagará

automáticamente (función de ahorro de energía). Para volver a utilizar

otra vez el afinador, pulsa el botón para activarlo.

Atención

• Cuando desconectes el amPlug I/O de tu guitarra, debes sujetarlo por la

base del conector de entrada.

• Desconecta el amPlug I/O de tu guitarra antes de apoyar la guitarra contra

la pared o dejarla en el suelo. Si no lo haces, el amPlug I/O podría golpear

el suelo y dañarse.

•

Cuando conectes el cable USB al amPlug I/O, no hagas nada con los

interruptores ni con el control VOLUME, p2-ya que el dispositivo conectado

podría no detectarse correctamente.
