EKI-2718E-2CI Startup Manual 1
The EKI-2718E-2CI industrial Ethernet switch provides 16 ×
10/100M + 2GE combo ports, oering versatile connectivity
for diverse applications. Users can conveniently enable or
disable Quality of Service (QoS), broadcast storm protec-
tion, and VLAN settings using DIP switches. Equipped with
12–48 VDC redundant power inputs and DIN-rail mounting,
this switch is designed for reliable performance in industrial
environments. With EMC Level 4 protection, it resists elec-
tromagnetic interference, ensuring stable operation even in
harsh conditions.

Overview
This series provide 4-pin DIP switches for function setting.
DIP switch denition is listed as follows:

The EKI-2718E-2CI switch supports dual +12–48 VDC power
inputs. For operation, connecting either Power V1 or V2 to
the switch is sucient. If both are connected, redundancy is
enhanced. In the event of a power failure in one input, the
switch will automatically transfer to the other.
1. Insert the positive and negative wires into the V+ and
V- contacts on the terminal block connector
2. Tighten the wire-clamps screws to prevent the DC wires
coming loose
Warning: This product is intended to be supplied by an
UL certied power supply or DC source suitable for use at
minimum Tma 75°C whose output meets SELV or ES1 and
is rated 12-48 Vdc, 0.7A min. If you need further assistance,
please contact Advantech for more information.
Warning: Ensure that the voltage of the power source is cor-
rect before connecting the equipment to a power outlet. Use
a power cord connected to a socket-outlet with an earthed
connection.
Warning: Never open the equipment. For safety reasons, the
equipment should be opened only by qualied skilled person.
Warning: A Laser Class 1 optical transceiver should be used
only.
