Getting Started with Echo Plus
Where to put your Echo Plus
Echo Plus works best when placed in a central location, at least
eight inches from any wall. You can put Echo Plus in a variety
of places—on a kitchen counter, the end table in your living
room, or a nightstand.
Talking to Echo Plus
To get the attention of your Echo Plus, simply say "Alexa."

Give us your feedback
Alexa will improve over time, giving you access to new features
and ways to get things done. We want to hear from you about
your experiences. Use the Alexa App to send us feedback or
visit http://amazon.com/devicesupport for support.
2. Download the Alexa App
Download the Alexa App from the app store.
The app helps you get more out of your Echo Plus. It's where
you see an overview of your requests and manag e your
contacts, list s, ne ws, music, and settin gs.
You can also start the setup process from your computer
browser at https: //alexa .amazon.com.
If the setup process does not automatically star t, go to
Settings > Set up a new device.
During setup, you will connect your Echo Plus to the Internet,
so you can access Amazon ser vice s. Please make sure you have
your Wi-Fi pa ssw ord.
To learn more about Echo Plus, go to Help in the Alexa App.
Action button
You can use this button to turn off the alarm and timer. You can
also use this button to wake up Echo Plus.
Microphone Off button
Press this but ton to turn off the microp hones. The Microphone Off
button and light ring will tu rn red. Press it again to turn the
microphones back on.
Light ring
The color of the light ring indicates what Echo Plus is doing. When
the light ring is blue, Echo Plus is ready for your request s.
Volume ring
Turn the dial clockwise to increa se the volume. The light ri ng fills in
as the volume increases.
1. Plug in your Echo Plus
Plug the power adapter into Echo Plus and then into a power
outlet. You must use the items include d in the origi nal Echo Plus
package for optimal performance. A blue light ring will begin to
spin around the top. In about a minute, the light ring will change
to orange and Alexa will gree t you.
