Welcome to your new Kindle Scribe (1st generation, 2024 release). This short guide will familiarize you with all of
the features and functionality of your Kindle. Some Kindle features may not be available based on your country of
residence or location. Please visit www.amazon.com/devicesupport for more information about specific features. Note
that Audible-enabled devices are not available in all countries, including China.
Setting up your Kindle Scribe
Setting up your Kindle Scribe (1st generation, 2024 release) takes a few simple steps:
Select your device language.
Select either Set up on this Kindle, or Set up with your phone.
Follow the steps to register your Kindle to your Amazon account.
Set up with your phone: This device can use Simple Setup to use the Kindle app on your iOS or Android device to
register your Kindle. To do this, you will need the following:
1. This Kindle Scribe (1st generation, 2024 release).
2. The Kindle app running on your iOS/Android device.
3. Amazon Device Simple Setup turned ON in the Kindle app.
4. Bluetooth turned ON on your phone, and Location services turned ON (Android only).
