Overview
The HPX-1600 is a retractable cable connection system built to accommodate
connectivity for power, networking, Audio/Video and control (FIG. 1).
Cautions:
• Only a professional, AMX-qualified installer should install this product.
• Contains no user serviceable components. Contact your authorized AMX dealer for
service.
• If this product incorporates outlets for AC power, note the location where the
power cord is connected to the AC mains-power branch-circuit. In case of
emergency, disconnect from the AC mains-power branch-circuit.
• To reduce the risk of electrical shock, use only indoors.
• DOUBLE POLE/NEUTRAL FUSING (HPX-1600-BL, HPX-1600-SL only)

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following
two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may
cause undesired operation.
Operation
• To raise the HPX-1600 from the closed position, press gently on the top surface
until the unit "clicks" then release. The unit will raise on its own. If the unit stops
short of the fully raised position, lift gently until it reaches the stop.
• To close the HPX-1600, press down firmly on the top surface so that the tower
slides down into the table until the unit "clicks" then release.
Caution: To avoid damage, never put more than 44 N (10 lbs) of force on the unit in
either direction.
Connections
The HPX-1600 may be configured with one or more of several connection modules
providing connections for power, networking, A/V and/or control.
In many cases the HPX-1600 may be closed after these connections are made in order
to conceal the connections. However, due to the wide variety of connectors and plugs,
not all connections can be maintained when the unit is in the closed position.
Ensure any attached connectors, including AC power plugs or transformers will fit
easily through the opening and in the space provided below the unit before closing the
unit.
Caution: DO NOT FORCE THE UNIT DOWN WITH ATTACHED PLUGS OR CONNECTORS AS
THIS MAY CAUSE THE UNIT TO BECOME STUCK IN THE DOWN POSITION.
