Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct and
then save it for future reference. We reserve theright for any errors in

Note: or Therepeater can either be used as arange extender anaccess
point. This quick guide only describes therepeater function. If you wish to
use therepeater as anaccess point, read themanual on theincluded CD
or visit themanufacturer’s homepage (www.zyxel.com) for information.
Buttons and functions
WPS connection
Connect the repeater to your router/access point
6. Open you web browser. Go to: http://zyxelsetup/
7. Write admin 1234 in the“Username” field and in the“Password” field.
8. Open thelist of available networks in thedevice which you wish to
connect to therepeater.
9. Select your network or enter theSSID and password.
Follow theon-screen instructions to complete theconnection.
Connecting to the new network which the repeater
has created
1. LAN port for connecting anetwork cable
2. [ ] WPS button (WiFi Protected Setup)
3. [ AP/REPEATER ] Access point / Repeater selector switch
4. [ l/0 ] On/off switch
1. Set the [ l/0 ] switch (4) on
theunderside of therepeater to ON.
2. Connect therepeater to
anelectrical socket.
3. Wait about 1 minute until thegreen
LED indicator on thefront of
therepeater comes on.
4. Activate theWPS function on your
router or access point.
5. Hold in theWPS button (2) on
thereceiver for 2 seconds.
6. Wait about 2 minutes until
theWPS indicators on thedevices
have stopped flashing (thedevices
are connected).
Connecting a wireless device
to the repeater
1. Press theWPS button (2) on
thereceiver twice in quick
succession.
2. Activate theWPS function on
your device.
3. Thedevice will now be connected
to therepeater.
1. Therepeater creates
anew network which
uses theoriginal
network name
plus thesuffix
“ _2.4GEXT” or
“ _5GEXT”
2. Open thelist of
available networks
in thedevice that
you wish to connect
therepeater to.
3. Connect to thenew network using thesame password that you
used for theoriginal network.
Care and maintenance
• Use adry cloth to wipe therepeater clean when needed.
• Therepeater should be unplugged from thewall socket if it is not
to be used for along time.
• If you need to reset therepeater to its default factory settings,
hold in theWPS button (2) for 5–10 seconds until theLED
indicator starts to flash.
Responsible disposal
Non-WPS connection
1. Set the [ l/0 ] switch (4) on
theunderside of therepeater to ON.
2. Connect therepeater to
anelectrical socket.
3. Wait about 1 minute until thegreen
LED indicator on thefront of
therepeater comes on.
4. Note theSSID and password of
your wireless network.
5. Connect your computer to one
of thepre-configured router
networks: SSID: Zyxe_2.4GEXT or
SSID: Zyxe_5GEXT.
This symbol indicates that this product should not
be disposed of with general household waste. This
applies throughout theentire EU. In order to prevent any
harm to theenvironment or health hazards caused by
incorrect waste disposal, theproduct must be handed
in for recycling so that thematerial can be disposed of
in aresponsible manner. When recycling your product,
take it to your local collection facility or contact theplace
of purchase. They will ensure that theproduct is
disposed of in anenvironmentally sound manner.
