DESCRIPTION
The hood may be installed in the filtering or the ducting version.
In the Filtering version the air and the kitchen fumes that are conveyed by the apparatus are depurated by
the charcoal filter and put back into the room through the small grilles of the ventilation flue (Fig. 1).
ATTENTION: When using the filtering version, a charcoal filter and an air baffle (Fig. 1A) must be used, which
placed at the top of the structure, allows the air to recycle back into the room.
In the Ducting version, cooking vapours and odours are conveyed straight outside by a disposal duct which
passes through the ceiling (Fig. 2).
INSTALLATION
ATTENTION: Three people are required for proper installation; the unit should be installed by a qualified
operator. Also follow carefully each step of the assembly instructions, and once installation has been
completed, make sure that the hood is firmly secured in place.
To facilitate installation, before starting remove the grease filters: press inward on the clamp at the handle and
pull the filter downward (Fig. 3).
For assembling it is essential to: – Prepare the electrical connection and the air exhaust pipe (CAUTION! For installation
reasons the pipe must absolutely be flexible) inside the telescopic flue so that they are sufficiently long to reach the lower
flue outlet (Fig. 4). – If your unit is installed in a ducting hood, prepare the air exhaust hole.
When installing ducting hoods, to achieve the best possible conditions use an air exhaust pipe that : is as short
as possible, has a minimum of curves (maximum angle: 90°), is made of a material that complies with the standards (which
vary from nation to nation) and is smooth on the inside. It is also advisable to avoid any drastic changes in pipe section
(diameter: 150 mm).
ASSEMBLING - Using the special drilling template, drill the holes for fixing to the ceiling on the vertical side of
your hob. Carefully observe all the indications for final positioning of the apparatus. Take into account that one of
the template axes must correspond to the axis of the hood controls. Fix the bracket to the ceiling using the screws
and screw anchors provided (Fig. 5). Be careful, because the position of the bracket determines the final position
of the apparatus.
Ducting version: Fix the upper flue to the bracket by means of the four screws provided (Fig. 6), with the grilles facing
down, then take the lower flue and insert it in the upper one (Fig. 7). Adjust the height of the flues with the eight retaining
screws (Fig. 7A) taking into account that the distance between the hood and the hob must be at least 650 mm (Fig. 8).
Take the flange with the metal valve (Fig. 9H) and assemble it onto the opening of the hood for air venting, pressing slightly.
Now make the electrical connection A and connect the air exhaust pipe to the flange B holding the hood raised (Fig.10).
Lift the island and rest it against the lower flue, then fix the parts with the eight screws provided (Fig. 11). At this point
the installation is complete and the grease filters can be remounted.
Filtering version: After fitting the bracket to the ceiling, install the baffle (Fig. 12) with the four screws “A”; fix the flange
“B” with a rotating movement. Arrange the power cable and the air exhaust pipe as shown in Figure 13. Repeat the
installation from the first point of the ducting version bearing in mind that the upper flue must have the grilles facing up.
OPERATION
Commands (Fig. 14): Button A: light switch. Button B: first speed motor ON/OFF switch. Button C: second
speed switch. Button D: third speed switch. E: motor on light.
Pay special attention to the grease filters; the grease filter must be cleaned periodically: exactly how often
depends on use (at least once every other month). To remove the filters: press inward on the clamps at the handles
and pull the filter downward (Fig. 3). Wash out the filter using a neutral soap.
Replacing the charcoal filter: If the unit is a filtering hood, the charcoal filters must be replaced: to remove
them press inward on the clamp (Fig. 15) and rotate the filter downward until the 2 tabs can be removed from
the housing. The charcoal filter must be replaced according to use: on average once every 6 months.
Lighting: Depending on the model purchased, see Fig.16 or Fig. 17.

BESCHREIBUNG
Die Haube kann als Umluftversion oder als Abluftversion installiert werden.
Bei Umluftversion werden die durch das Gerät beförderten Dünste und die Abluft durch die Kohlefilter gereinigt
und durch die Lüftungsgitterchen des Rohres wieder in den Raum zurückgeführt (Abb. 1). ZU BEACHTEN: Bei der
Benutzung der Umluftversion müssen ein Kohlefilter sowie ein Luftleitblech verwendet werden (Abb. 1A) das, am
oberen Teil der Haube angebracht, die Wiedereinleitung der Luft in den Raum gestattet.
Im Abluftversion wird der Kochdunst durch Abluftrohre ins Freie geleitet (Abb.2).
MONTAGE DES GERÄTS
ACHTUNG: Für die Montage sind wenigstens 3 Personen erforderlich. Es wird empfohlen, die Montage von
Fachkräften durchführen zu lassen. Wir empfehlen, jeden Arbeitsgang der Installation zu verfolgen und sich
bei deren Beendigung zu versichern, dass der Apparat absolut tadellos befestigt ist.
Vor den Montageoperationen müssen zur leichteren Handhabung des Geräts die Fettfilter entfernt werden:
Den Festhalter in der Nähe des Griffs nach innen drücken und den Filter nach unten ziehen (Abb. 3).
Wichtige Vorbedingungen für das Montieren: – Die Stromzuleitung und den Luftaustrittsschlauch (ACHTUNG!
Aufgrund der Montageerfordernisse unbedingt einen biegsamen Schlauch verwenden) im Inneren des teleskopischen
Rohres so verlegen, daß sie ausreichend lang sind und bis zum Ausgang des unteren Rohres gehen (Abb. 4). – Wird ein
Gerät in Abluftversion installiert, ist eine Luftaustrittsöffnung vorzusehen.
Zum Erzielen optimaler Bedingungen für die Abluftversion ist ein Luftaustrittsrohr zu benutzen, das über die
unbedingt erforderliche Mindestlänge, eine möglichst geringe Krümmungszahl (maximaler Krümmungswinkel von 90°),
ein genormtes Material (gemäß dem Herkunftsland) und eine möglichst glatte Innenfläche verfügt. Außerdem wird von
drastischen Querschnittänderungen abgeraten (Durchmesser 150 mm).
MONTIEREN - Unter Verwendung der entsprechenden Maske die Löcher für die Befestigung an der Decke vertikal
über Ihrem Kochfeld ausführen und dabei alle Anweisungen für die Positionierung des Geräts beachten. Berücksichtigen,
dass eine der Achsen der Maske der Achse der Bedienungselemente der Haube entsprechen muss. Den Bügel mit den
mitgelieferten Schrauben und Dübeln an der Decke befestigen (Abb. 5); dabei mit Sorgfalt vorgehen, denn die Position
des Bügels bestimmt die definitive Position des Geräts.
Abluftversion: Das obere Rohr mit vier Schrauben (beiliegend) mit nach unten weisenden Schlitzen am Bügel
befestigen (Abb. 6). Nun das untere Rohr nehmen und in das obere Rohr stecken (Abb. 7), die Höhe der Rohre mit
Hilfe der acht Befestigungsschrauben regeln (Abb. 7A), dabei berücksichtigen, dass die Haube mindestens 650 mm
(Abb.8) von der Kochfläche entfernt sein muss. Man bringt den mit Metallventil ausgestatteten Luftstutzen (Abb. 9H)
mit leichtem Druck an der Luftaustrittsöffnung der Haube an. Jetzt den Stromanschluß A und die Verbindung des
Luftaustrittsschlauchs mit dem Flansch B herstellen und dabei die Abzugshaube hoch halten (Abb.10).
Die Insel anheben, bis sie das untere Rohr berührt und die Teile anhand der acht mitgelieferten Schrauben befestigen
(Abb. 11). Jetzt ist die Installation beendet und Sie können den Fettfilter wieder anbringen.
Umluftversion: Wurde der Bügel an der Decke befestigt, anhand der vier Schrauben „A“ das Leitblech (Abb. 12) an
der Decke befestigen; durch eine Drehbewegung den Flansch “B” befestigen. Das Stromzuleitungskabel und den
Luftaustrittsschlauch laut Abbildung 13 anordnen. Ab dem ersten Punkt der Aspirationsversion mit der Installation
fortfahren und berücksichtigen, daß das obere Rohr nach oben schauende Schlitze haben muß.
FUNKTIONSWEISE
Bedienung (Abb. 14): Taste A: Beleuchtung. Taste B: Ein- (erste Betriebstufe), Aus- Schalter. Taste C: zweite
Betriebstufe. Taste D: dritte Betriebstufe. E: Motorkontrolleuchte.
Mit besonderer Sorgfalt sind die zu behandeln: Der Fettfilter ist periodisch in Abhängigkeit vomFettfilter
Gebrauch (mindestens jedoch alle zwei Monate) zu reinigen. Entfernung der Filter: Den Festhalter in der Nähe des
Griffs nach innen drücken und den Filter nach unten ziehen (Abb. 3). Die Filter mit einem neutralen Reiniger
waschen.
Ersatz der Kohlefilter: Wird ein Gerät in Umluftversion eingesetzt, so müssen die Kohlefilter ersetzt werden:
Den Festhalter nach innen drücken (Abb. 15) und nach unten drehen, bis die beiden Filterzungen aus ihrem Sitz
entfernt werden können. Der Kohlefilter muss in Abhängigkeit vom Gebrauch im Durchschnitt alle 6 Monate ersetzt
werden.
Beleuchtung: Gemäß dem von Ihnen erworbenen Modell ist Abb. 16 oder Abb. 17 zu konsultieren.
Abb. 16: Zur Entfernung der Halogenlampen ist die Fassung entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn zu drehen. Mit Lampen
derselben Art ersetzen.
