DRYER
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
Fire Hazard
No washer can completely remove oil.
Do not dry anything that has ever had any type of
oil on it (including cooking oils).
Items containing foam, rubber, or plastic must be
dried on a clothesline or by using an Air Cycle.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in
death or fire.

Explosion Hazard
Keep flammable materials and vapors, such as
gasoline, away from dryer.
Do not dry anything that has ever had anything
flammable on it (even after washing).
Failure to follow these instructions can result in
death, explosion, or fire.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to
persons, read the IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS, located
in your appliance’s Owner’s Manual, before operating this
appliance.

NOTE: Start button must be
held for 1 second to start cycle.
Once the bottom line of lights
left of the Start button are
illuminated, release the Start
button.
If you accidentally select wrong language during digital un-boxing
and/or you want to get back to Factory settings then perform
Factory Reset.
FACTORY RESET
Press/hold both TEMP and WRINKLE PREVENT keys until display
count-down has completed. Unit will power back on with “Select
Language” display message.
GET THE MAYTAG™ APP AND GET CONNECTED
With your mobile device download the Maytag™ app. You can
get subscription and connectivity instructions, terms of use,
and privacy policy at www.maytag.com/connect or in Canada
www.maytag.ca/connect.
Once installed, launch the app and you will be guided through the
steps to subscribe and create your user account to connect to your
appliance. If you have any problems or questions, call Maytag
®
Connected Appliances at 1-866-333-4591. (Only available for
models with Wi-Fi capability). When unit is first powered on, it will
prompt to select language before you see message to Download
APP or press any other key to setup Wi-Fi later.
CONTROL PANEL AND FEATURES

1. POWER
Touch to turn on/off or to stop/cancel a cycle.
2. CYCLE KNOB
Turn knob to select desired cycle.
EXTRA POWER
Press to boost drying power on any drying cycle by adding
extending time, heat, and tumbling. Extra Power is active if the
cycle control knob is illuminated. If activated after starting a cycle,
additional time may not be automatically added.
3. DISPLAY LCD
Display LCD will show the cycle settings and estimated time
remaining. Adding or changing default options will also affect time
shown in display.
4. START/PAUSE
Touch and hold; cycle will start after countdown.
Touch START/PAUSE during a cycle to pause it. Touch again to
resume.
5. CYCLE MODIFIERS (Not all modifiers are available on all
cycles. See cycle guide for more information.)
NOTE: Dryer remembers the last completed cycle and cycle
settings. The next time you turn dryer on, it will be set to run the
last cycle.
TEMP
Touch to modify the cycle’s available temperatures. (Air Only, Low,
Medium, Medium High, High).
DRYNESS
Touch to modify the cycle’s available dry levels on the sensor
cycles (Less, Normal, More).
WRINKLE PREVENT
Touch to turn on/off and on with steam (select models). Wrinkle
Prevent adds up to 150 minutes of periodic tumbling and heat to
help reduce wrinkling. Wrinkle Prevent with Steam will add a short
steam cycle after 60 minutes to help smooth wrinkles.
6. Cycle Options (Not all options are available on all cycles).
Steam/Reduce Static
Touch to add Steam or Reduce Static to selected cycle. Steam
adds steam to the end of certain Sensor Cycle to help smooth
wrinkles. Reduce Static will automatically tumble and introduce a
small amount of moisture to the load to help reduce static. For best
results with Reduce Static, avoid small load sizes.
Remote Start
Touch each time you want to remotely control via the Maytag™
app. Follow the instructions in the “GET THE MAYTAG™ APP
AND GET CONNECTED” section below for more details.
NOTE: Once Remote Start has been selected, certain interactions
with the dryer will cause it to cancel Remote Start. Example:
Opening the door.
Wi-Fi Connect
Download the Maytag™ App and follow the instructions to connect
your appliance to your home WiFi network. You may also visit
www.maytag.com/owners. In Canada, visit
www.maytag.ca/owners.
Pet Pro
Select this option to improve filtering performance from pet hair. You
can use this mode at any time, but it is specially adapted to loads with
large amounts of pet hair. Turn this modifier on or off at the push of a
button.
NOTE: The Pet Pro Modifier is used to remove hair from clothing
pets. Do not put your pets in the washing machine.
More Time (Timed Dry & Quick Dry only)
Touch to increase the length of a Timed Dry or Quick Dry Cycle.
Less Time (Timed Dry & Quick Dry only)
Touch to decrease the length of a Timed Dry or Quick Dry Cycle.
Cycle Signal
Use this option to turn the signal indicating the end of a drying cycle to
Low, Medium, High, or Off.
NOTE: Press/hold CYCLE SIGNAL to select the volume.
Damp Dry Signal
Touch DAMP DRY SIGNAL or touch and hold CYCLE SIGNAL
(depending on the model) for at least 3 seconds to turn the Damp Dry
Signal on or off. User will get a sound and display notification telling
them “Items are damp. You can pause and reposition for best results.”
CHECK VENT
The Check Vent alert is a feature available for Automatic cycles only.
This alert will show the status of airflow through the dryer and the
dryer vent system for the dryer’s life. During the sensing phase at the
beginning of the cycle if it detects a blocked vent or low pressure it will
display “Check vent. Clean lint screen or vent for better performance.”
REMEMBER: The dryer will continue to operate even when check
vent notification is displayed, but poor airflow can impact dry times
and overall performance.
Display message can be cleared by pressing any key with the
exception of Power which will cancel the cycle.
NOTE: See the online “Cycle Guide” for more information about cycles, settings, and options. Not all cycles, settings, and options are available
with all models. Read all your Manuals for more information on your unit.
NOTE: These clothes dryer’s Government energy certifications were based on the Timed Dry Cycle, Highest Temperature and Maximum Time.
The as-shipped defaults of Normal, EcoBoost ON, Medium T
emperature and Wrinkle Shield Off were used. Cycles that are available for post-sale
download may use more energy than the Normal cycle, upon which the energy use rating of this dryer is based upon.
