3 Connection

1) Connect the tweeter to the pins “OUT”. The correct connection

of the positive and negative contacts depends on the speakers

used and on their arrangement within the speaker system. To

determine the correct connection, make sound checks.

2) The pins “HI+”, “LO+” and “IN−” are used as signal inputs:

HI+ = input with a level attenuation of 4 dB to match the

volume to the volume of the other speakers in the

speaker system

LO = input without level attenuation+

IN = input negative pole−

High Pass Filter for 8 Ω Tweeter

These instructions are intended for non-professionals

with basic knowledge in DIY speaker building. Please

read the instructions carefully prior to operation and

keep them for later reference.

1 Applications

This high pass ﬁlter can be used to connect a tweeter when

setting up a hi-ﬁ speaker system or a PA speaker system. The

power capability is 250 W.

2 Important Notes

The high pass ﬁlter corresponds to all relevant directives of the

EU and is therefore marked with

The high pass ﬁlter is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it

against dripping water, splash water and high air humidity.

The admissible ambient temperature range is 0 – 40 °C.

For cleaning only use a dry, soft brush; never use water or

chemicals.

•

No guarantee claims for the high pass ﬁlter and no liability

for any resulting personal damage or material damage will

be accepted if the high pass ﬁlter is used for other purposes

than originally intended, if it is not correctly connected, if

it is overloaded, or if it is not repaired in an expert way.

If the high pass ﬁlter is to be put out of operation

deﬁnitively, take it to a local recycling plant for a

disposal which is not harmful to the environment.

3 Anschluss

1) -Den Hochtöner an die Stifte „OUT“ anschließen. Der rich

tige Anschluss der Plus- und Minuskontakte hängt von den

eingesetzten Lautsprechern sowie von ihrer Anordnung in

der Box ab und muss durch Probieren ermittelt werden.

2) -Die Stifte „HI+“, „LO+“ und „IN−“ dienen als Signalein

gang:

HI+ = Eingang mit einer Pegelabsenkung von 4 dB zur Laut-

stärkeanpassung an die übrigen Lautsprecher in der

Box

LO = Eingang ohne Pegelabsenkung+

IN = Eingang Minuspol−

Hochpassﬁlter für 8-Ω-Hochtöner

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Selbstbau-Amateure von

Lautsprecherboxen mit entsprechenden Grundkenntnis-

sen. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung vor dem Betrieb gründ-

lich durch und heben Sie sie für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten

Dieser Hochpass dient beim Aufbau einer Hi-Fi- oder PA-Laut-

sprecherbox zum Anschluss eines Hochtöners. Die Belastbar-

keit beträgt 250 W.

2 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch

Der Hochpass entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien der EU

und trägt deshalb das

-Zeichen.

•

Der Hochpass ist nur zur Verwendung im Innenbereich ge-

eignet. Schützen Sie ihn vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser sowie

vor hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit. Der Einsatztemperaturbereich

beträgt 0 – 40 °C.

•

Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur einen trockenen, weichen

Pinsel, auf keinen Fall Wasser oder Chemikalien.

•

Wird der Hochpass zweckentfremdet, falsch angeschlossen,

überlastet oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann keine Haf-

tung für daraus resultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden

und keine Garantie für den Hochpass übernommen werden.

Soll der Hochpass endgültig aus dem Betrieb ge-

nommen werden, übergeben Sie ihn zur umwelt-

gerechten Entsorgung einem örtlichen Recycling-

betrieb.
