Keep the unit as far away as possible from

electromagnetic equipment (such as microwave

ovens, TVs, video games, radio transmitters,

high-voltage lines etc.).

≥Do not use the camera near cell phones because

doing so may result in noise adversely affecting

the pictures and sound.

If the camera is adversely affected by electromagnetic

equipment and stops functioning properly, turn the

camera off and remove the battery and/or the

connected AC adaptor. Then reinsert the battery and/

or reconnect the AC adaptor and turn the camera on.

The lens can be used with a digital camera

compatible with the lens mount standard for the

“Micro Four ThirdsTM System”.

≥It cannot be mounted on the Four ThirdsTM mount

specification camera.

∫Lens Care

≥This lens has a dust-proof and splash-proof

construction. When using it, please be careful of

the following.

If the lens is not working properly, consult the

dealer or your nearest Service Centre.

– Please attach the lens to a dust-proof and

splash-proof digital camera.

– Make sure that no sand, dust, drops of water,

etc., gets on or inside the lens mount rubber,

terminals, and inside the digital camera and lens

when attaching or detaching the lens.

– This lens is not waterproof and cannot be used to

record underwater. For splash-proofing, the lens

is constructed to resist the entry of water. If

splashes of water etc. do adhere to the lens, wipe

after use with a soft dry cloth.

≥To improve the dust-proofing and splash-proofing

of this lens, a lens mount rubber is used in the

mounting portion. After changing the lens a

number of times, you may find that the lens mount

rubber has marked the mount portion of the digital

camera body, which does not affect its

performance.

For information on changing the lens mount

rubber, contact your nearest Service Centre.

≥Do not press the lens with excessive force.

≥When there is dirt (water, oil, and fingerprints, etc.)

on the surface of the lens, the picture may be

affected. Lightly wipe the surface of the lens with a

soft, dry cloth before and after taking pictures.

≥Do not place the lens mount

facing downwards. Do not

allow the lens contact points

∫About Condensation

(Fogging of the Lens)

≥Condensation occurs when there are differences

in temperature and humidity as described below.

Condensation can cause the lens to become dirty

and lead to mold and malfunctioning, so exercise

caution in the following situations:

– When the camera is brought indoors from outside

during cold weather

– When the camera is brought into an air-

conditioned car

– When cold air from an air conditioner is directly

blown onto the lens

– In humid places

∫Attaching the Lens Hood

Align the fitting mark

on the lens

the arrow until it stops, and align the

∫Temporarily Storing the Lens Hood

1 Turn the lens hood in the

direction of the arrow to

detach it.

2 Reverse the lens hood

and then attach it in the

same way as shown

previously.

• When taking pictures with

the flash with the lens hood

attached, the lower portion of

the screen may turn dark (vignetting effect) and

the control of the flash may be disabled because

the photo flash may be obscured by the lens

hood. We recommend detaching the lens hood.

• When using the AF assist lamp in the dark,

detach the lens hood.

∫Attaching Filters

≥Vignetting may occur if using 2 or more

MC protectors (optional: DMW-LMCH58),

PL filters (optional: DMW-LPL58) or ND filters

(optional: DMW-LND58), or if using thick

protectors and/or filters.

≥The filter may become impossible to remove if

excessively tightened, so please refrain from

tightening it too strongly.

≥It is possible to attach the lens cap with the filter

already attached.

≥You cannot attach a conversion lens or adaptor to

this lens. A filter may be used, but attaching any

other element may cause damage to the lens.

Rotate to focus when taking pictures with manual

focus.

Rotate the zoom ring when you wish to take large

(tele) or wide (wide angle) pictures. (35 mm film

camera equivalent: 70 mm to 200 mm)

4[O.I.S.] switch

When the lens is attached to the camera the

stabiliser function is set to activate if the [O.I.S.]

switch is set to [ON].

≥We recommend setting the [O.I.S.] switch to [OFF]

when using a tripod.

≥The stabiliser function may not be effective in the

following cases.

– When there is a lot of jitter.

– When the zoom magnification is high.

– When using the digital zoom.

– When taking pictures while following a moving

subject.

– When the shutter speed becomes slower to take

pictures indoors or in dark places.

Note

≥When flash recording with a close subject, the

light of the flash will be blocked by the lens and

part of the picture may be dark. Check the

distance from the subject when recording.

≥

If you zoom after focusing, focusing errors may occur.

After zooming, please perform the focusing again.

Cautions for Use

Take care not to drop or knock the lens. Also

take care not to put a lot of pressure on the lens.

≥

Take care not to drop the bag that you inserted the

lens in as it may strongly shock the lens. The camera

may stop operating normally and pictures may no

longer be recorded. Also, the lens may be damaged.

When using pesticides and other volatile

substances around the camera make sure that

they do not get onto the lens.

≥

If such substances get onto the lens they can

damage the exterior case or cause the paint to peel.

Do not carry the unit when it is still attached to

the camera body.

≥

Under no circumstances should the unit be stored in

any of the following locations since doing so may

cause problems in operation or malfunctioning.

– In direct sunlight or on a beach in summer

– In locations with high temperatures and humidity

levels or where the changes in temperature and

humidity are acute

– Where there is fire

– Near heaters, air conditioners or humidifiers

– Where there is vibration

– Inside a vehicle

≥Refer also to the operating instructions of the

digital camera.

≥

When the unit is not going to be used for a prolonged

period, we recommend storing with a desiccant (silica

gel). Failure to do so may result in performance

failure caused by mold, etc. It is recommended that

you check the unit’s operation prior to use.

≥Do not leave the lens in contact with rubber or

plastic products for extended periods of time.

≥Do not touch the lens contact point. Doing so can

cause failure of the unit.

≥Do not disassemble or alter the unit.

Do not use benzine, thinner, alcohol or other

similar cleaning agents to clean the lens glass or

exterior cabinet.

≥Using solvents can damage the lens or cause the

paint to peel.

≥

Wipe off any dust or fingerprints with a soft, dry cloth.

≥Wipe off the dust or dirt on the lens mount rubber

(P8), zoom ring, or focus ring with a dry dust cloth.

≥Do not use a household detergent or a chemically

treated cloth.

A sound is heard when the camera is turned on or off.

≥This is the sound of lens or aperture movement

and is not a malfunction.

∫Objektivpflege

≥Dieses Objektiv verfügt über eine staub- und

spritzwasserdichte Konstruktion. Bitte achten Sie

bei der Verwendung des Objektivs auf folgende

Punkte.

Wenn das Objektiv nicht richtig funktioniert,

wenden Sie sich an Ihren Händler oder Ihr

nächstgelegenes Service-Center.

– Bitte bringen Sie das Objektiv an einer staub-

und spritzwasserdichten Digital-Kamera an.

– Stellen Sie sicher, dass kein Sand, Staub,

Wassertropfen, etc. auf oder in den

Objektivfassungsgummi gelangen, oder in die

Digital-Kamera und das Objektiv, wenn das

Objektiv angebracht oder abgenommen wird.

– Dieses Objektiv ist nicht wasserdicht und kann

nicht für Aufnahmen unter Wasser verwendet

werden. Zum Spritzwasserschutz ist das Objektiv

so konstruiert, dass es dem Eindringen von

Wasser standhält. Wenn sich Wasserspritzer, etc.

am Objektiv festsetzen, trocknen Sie das

Objektiv nach der Verwendung mit einem

weichen, trockenen Tuch ab.

≥Zur Verbesserung des Staub- und Spritzschutzes

des Objektivs wird ein Objektivfassungsgummi an

der Anschlussposition verwendet. Nachdem das

Objektiv einige Male gewechselt wurde, kann ein

Abdruck des Objektivfassungsgummis am

Anschlussbereich der Digitalkamera zu sehen

sein. Dies beeinträchtigt nicht die Leistung.

Kontaktieren Sie für Informationen zum Wechseln

des Objektivfassungsgummis Ihr

nächstgelegenes Service-Center.

≥Üben Sie keinen zu starken Druck auf das

Objektiv aus.

≥Schmutz auf dem Objektiv (Wasser, Öl,

Fingerabdrücke usw.) kann zu schlechteren

Bildern führen. Wischen Sie die

Objektivoberfläche vor und nach dem

Fotografieren vorsichtig mit einem weichen,

trockenen Tuch ab.

≥Richten Sie die

Objektivfassung nicht nach

Randabschattung). Außerdem funktioniert unter

Umständen die Blitzsteuerung nicht, weil das

Blitzlicht durch die Gegenlichtblende verdeckt wird.

Wir empfehlen, bei Blitzaufnahmen die

Gegenlichtblende abzunehmen.

• Nehmen Sie die Gegenlichtblende ab, wenn Sie

bei wenig Licht mit der AF-Hilfslampe arbeiten.

∫Filter aufsetzen

≥Falls zwei oder mehr Aufsätze, also

MC-Schutzfilter (Sonderzubehör: DMW-LMCH58),

PL-Filter (Sonderzubehör: DMW-LPL58) oder

ND-Filter (Sonderzubehör: DMW-LND58),

verwendet werden oder falls der verwendete

Objektivschutz bzw. Filter besonders dick ist, kann

ein Vignettierungseffekt auftreten.

≥Der Filter lässt sich eventuell nicht mehr

abnehmen, wenn er zu fest angezogen wird.

Gehen Sie daher vorsichtig vor.

≥Der Objektivdeckel kann auch aufgesetzt werden,

wenn der Filter bereits angebracht ist.

≥Auf dieses Objektiv lassen sich weder

Vorsatzlinsen noch Adapter aufsetzen. Die

Verwendung von Filtern ist möglich, das

Aufsetzen anderer Komponenten dagegen kann

zu einer Beschädigung des Objektivs führen.

wenn Sie Aufnahmen mit der manuellen

Scharfeinstellung machen.

Drehen Sie am Zoomring, wenn Sie Aufnahmen mit

Tele oder Aufnahmen mit Weitwinkel machen

möchten. (Kleinbild-Äquivalent: 70 mm bis 200 mm)

4[O.I.S.]-Schalter

Wenn der [O.I.S.] Schalter bei aufgesetztem

Objektiv auf [ON] gestellt ist, wird die

Bildstabilisatorfunktion aktiviert.

≥Es empfiehlt sich, den [O.I.S.]-Schalter auf [OFF]

zu stellen, wenn Sie ein Stativ verwenden.

≥In folgenden Fällen ist die Stabilisatorfunktion

unter Umständen nicht wirksam.

– Bei exzessivem Verwackeln der Kamera.

– Bei sehr großer Zoomvergrößerung.

– Bei Verwendung des Digitalzooms.

– Bei Aufnahmen während der Verfolgung eines

sich bewegenden Motivs.

– Bei einer Verlängerung der Verschlusszeit für Aufnahmen

in Innenräumen oder Umgebungen mit wenig Licht.

Hinweis

≥Wenn Sie ein Motiv nah an der Kamera mit Blitz

aufnehmen, blockiert das Objektiv das Licht vom

Blitz, so dass Teile des Bildes dunkel werden

können. Achten Sie bei diesen Aufnahmen daher

auf ausreichenden Abstand zum Motiv.

≥Wenn Sie nach dem Fokussieren den Zoom

verwenden, kann es zu Fokussierungsproblemen

kommen. Bitte stellen Sie nach dem

Zoomvorgang erneut scharf.

Vorsichtsmaßnahmen

Achten Sie darauf, das Objektiv nicht fallen zu lassen

und keinen starken Stößen auszusetzen. Üben Sie

keinesfalls zu starken Druck auf das Objektiv aus.

≥

Achten Sie auch darauf, dass die Tasche, in der Sie

das Objektiv aufbewahren, nicht herunterfällt, denn

das Objektiv könnte sonst schwer beschädigt werden.

Unter Umständen funktioniert dann auch die Kamera

nicht mehr und kann keine Bilder mehr aufzeichnen.

Wenn in der Umgebung der Kamera Pestizide oder

andere flüchtige Substanzen verwendet werden,

müssen Sie dafür sorgen, dass diese Stoffe nicht

in Kontakt mit der Obektivoberfläche kommen.

≥

Falls solche Substanzen auf das Objektiv gelangen,

könnten sie zur Beschädigung des Objektivs oder

zum Abblättern der Farbe führen.

Tragen Sie das Gerät nicht, während es noch an

der Kamera angebracht ist.

≥

Keinesfalls darf das Gerät unter den folgenden

Bedingungen benutzt oder aufbewahrt werden, da dies

zu Defekten oder Funktionsstörungen führen kann.

– Bei direktem Sonnenlicht oder im Sommer an der Küste

– An Orten mit hohen Temperaturen und hoher

das Objektiv gemeinsam mit einem Trocknungsmittel

(Silica-Gel). Ohne ausreichende Trocknung kann die

Einsatzfähigkeit des Objektivs durch Schimmel usw.

∫Entretien de l’objectif

≥Cet objectif possède un dispositif anti-poussière et

anti-éclaboussure. Lorsque vous l’utilisez, soyez

attentif aux points suivants.

Si l’objectif ne fonctionne pas correctement,

consultez le revendeur ou votre centre

d’assistance le plus proche.

– Veuillez installer l’objectif sur un appareil photo

numérique anti-poussière et anti-éclaboussure.

– Assurez-vous qu’aucun grain de sable, de

poussière, de goutte d’eau, etc, ne se trouve sur

ou à l’intérieur du caoutchouc de la monture de

l’objectif, des terminaux, et à l’intérieur de

l’appareil photo numérique et de l’objectif en

installant ou en retirant l’objectif.

– Cet objectif n’est pas étanche et ne doit pas être

utilisé pour enregistrer sous l’eau. Concernant le

dispositif anti-éclaboussure, l’objectif est

construit pour résister à l’entrée de l’eau. Si des

projections d’eau etc. adhèrent à l’objectif,

essuyez après utilisation avec un chiffon doux et

sec.

≥Pour améliorer la performance anti-poussière et

anti-éclaboussure de cet objectif, une garniture en

caoutchouc est utilisée dans la partie de montage.

Après avoir changé l’objectif un certain nombre de

fois, vous pouvez constater que la garniture en

caoutchouc de l’objectif a marqué la partie de

montage du boitier de l’appareil photo numérique,

ce qui n’affecte pas ses performances.

≥N’appuyez pas avec force sur l’objectif.

≥Lorsqu’il a des salissures (eau, huile, traces de

doigts, etc.) sur la surface de l’objectif, cela peut

avoir une incidence sur l’image. Essuyez

légèrement la surface de l’objectif avec un chiffon

sec et doux avant et après la prise de photos.

≥Ne posez pas l’objectif côté

monture vers le bas. Point

de contact 1 de la monture

∫Fixation de filtres

Un effet de vignetage peut survenir en utilisant 2 ou

plus protecteurs MC (en option: DMW-LMCH58),

filtres PL (en option: DMW-LPL58) ou filtres ND (en

option: DMW-LND58), ou en utilisant des

protecteurs et/ou des filtres épais.

≥Le filtre peut être impossible à retirer s’il est trop

serré, veuillez donc éviter de le faire.

≥Il est possible de fixer le capuchon d’objectif avec

le filtre déjà en place.

≥Vous ne pouvez pas installer de convertisseur

d’objectif ou d’adaptateur sur cet objectif. Un filtre

peut être utilisé, mais installer un autre élément

N’utilisez pas de benzène, d’alcool ni aucun

autre produit nettoyant similaire pour nettoyer

∫Atención del objetivo

≥ Esta lente tiene una construcción con resistencia

al polvo y las salpicaduras. Al usarla, tenga

cuidado con lo siguiente.

Si la lente no está funcionando correctamente,

consulte a su distribuidor o a su centro de servicio

más cercano.

– Coloque la lente en una cámara digital con

resistencia al polvo y las salpicaduras.

– Asegúrese de que no entre arena, polvo, gotas de

agua, etc. en la lente o dentro de la goma de

montaje de la lente, los terminales, y dentro de la

cámara digital y la lente al colocar o sacar la lente.

– Esta lente no es impermeable y no se puede usar

para grabar abajo del agua. Para la resistencia a

salpicaduras, la lente está construida para

resistir la entrada de agua. Si las salpicaduras de

agua, etc. no se adhieren a la lente, límpiela

después de usarla con un paño suave y seco.

≥ Para mejorar la función de resistencia al polvo y la

salpicadura de esta lente, se usa una goma de

montaje de la lente en la parte de montaje. Luego

de cambiar la lente varias veces, puede encontrar

∫Acerca de la condensación

(Empañamiento del objetivo)

≥ La condensación ocurre cuando se encuentra una

diferencia en la temperatura y humedad como se

describe abajo. La condensación puede hacer

ensuciar el objetivo y producir hongos y un

funcionamiento defectuoso, por lo tanto ponga

cuidado en las situaciones a continuación:

– Cuando lleva la cámara en casa desde el aire

libre durante un tiempo frío

– Cuando lleva la cámara dentro de un coche con

aire acondicionado

– Cuando sopla en el objetivo aire frío desde un

acondicionador de aire

– En lugares húmedos

≥ Para impedir la condensación, meta la cámara en

una bolsa de plástico para que se aclimate a la

temperatura ambiente. Si ocurre condensación,

apague la alimentación y la deje así durante dos

horas. Una vez de que la cámara se haya

aclimatado a la temperatura ambiente en

empañamiento desaparece naturalmente.

Precauciones para el uso

Tenga cuidado de no hacer caer el objetivo ni le

choque contra. Asimismo tenga cuidado de no

presionarlo demasiado.

≥

Tenga cuidado de no hacer caer la bolsa en la que

cabe el objetivo. Éste podría dañarse, la cámara

podría dejar de funcionar normalmente y las

imágenes p40-ya podrían no grabarse.

Cuando usa pesticidas y otras substancias

volátiles alrededor de la cámara tenga cuidado

de que no entre en el objetivo.

≥

Si dichas substancias caen en el objetivo, éstas

pueden dañarlo o hacer desconchar su barniz.

No transporte la unidad si ésta está todavía

unida al cuerpo de la cámara.

≥ De ninguna manera la unidad debe ser usada o

almacenada en uno de los siguientes lugares p40-ya

que lo de hacerlo podría perjudicarla o producir un

funcionamiento defectuoso.

– Bajo la luz directa del sol o bien a lo largo de la

costa durante el verano

– En lugares donde haya altas temperaturas o altos

niveles de humedad o bien donde sean repentinos

∫Custodia dell’obiettivo

≥Questo obiettivo è resistente alla polvere e agli

schizzi. Quando si usa l’obiettivo fare attenzione a

quanto segue.

Se l’obiettivo non funziona correttamente,

contattare il rivenditore o il Centro Assistenza più

vicino.

– Installare l’obiettivo su una fotocamera digitale

resistente alla polvere e agli schizzi.

– Evitare che sabbia, polvere, gocce d'acqua, ecc.,

raggiungano o penetrino all’interno della protezione

in gomma sull’innesto dell'obiettivo, dei terminali,

della fotocamera digitale e dell’obiettivo quando si

installa o si rimuove l’obiettivo.

– Questo obiettivo non è impermeabile e non può

essere utilizzato per scattare foto subacquee.

L’obiettivo è costruito in modo da prevenire

l’ingresso di schizzi. Se sull’obiettivo finiscono

degli schizzi, ecc., dopo l’utilizzo rimuoverli con

un panno morbido e asciutto.

≥Per migliorare la resistenza alla polvere e agli

schizzi di questo obiettivo, nella sezione di innesto

dell’obiettivo è presente una protezione in

gomma. Dopo aver cambiato obiettivo diverse

volte, potreste rilevare che la protezione in

gomma ha lasciato un segno sulla sezione di

innesto del corpo della fotocamera digitale.

Questo non pregiudica le prestazioni.

Per informazioni sulla sostituzione della

protezione in gomma, contattare il rivenditore o il

Centro Assistenza più vicino.

≥Non premere con troppa forza l’obiettivo.

≥Quando la superficie della lente è sporca (acqua,

olio, impronte, ecc.), l’immagine può risultare

deteriorata. Pulire leggermente la superficie della

lente con un panno asciutto e morbido prima e

dopo aver ripreso delle immagini.

≥Non tenere il supporto

dell’obiettivo rivolto verso il

basso. Evitare che i

∫Informazioni sulla condensa

(Appannamento dell’obiettivo)

≥La condensa si forma quando si verificano

differenze di temperatura e umidità come quelle

descritte sotto. La condensa può causare

l’appannamento dell’obiettivo e portare alla

formazione di muffe e a malfunzionamenti, per cui

è necessario fare attenzione nelle seguenti

situazioni:

– Quando si porta la fotocamera da un ambiente

esterno freddo a uno interno

– Quando si porta la fotocamera in un’auto con il

condizionatore in funzione

– Quando l’aria fredda di un condizionatore

colpisce direttamente l’obiettivo

– In luoghi umidi

≥Per evitare la formazione di condensa, inserire la

fotocamera in una busta di plastica per consentirle

di adattarsi alla temperatura circostante. Se si

forma della condensa, spegnere la fotocamera e

non toccarla per un paio due ore. Una volta che la

temperatura della fotocamera ritorna ai valori

dell’ambiente circostante l’appannamento

scomparirà naturalmente.

Quando si estrae il flash dalla confezione, controllare

che siano presenti l’unità principale e gli accessori in

dotazione. Controllarne inoltre l’aspetto esterno e il

funzionamento, per verificare che non abbiano

subito danni durante la distribuzione e il trasporto.

Se si riscontra qualche problema, contattare il

rivenditore prima di utilizzare il prodotto.

≥È possibile che si verifichi un effetto vignetta se si

utilizzano 2 o più protezioni MC (opzionali:

≥Se il filtro viene stretto eccessivamente, può

≥Se si zooma dopo aver messo a fuoco, possono

verificarsi errori di messa a fuoco. Dopo aver

Precauzioni per l’uso

Fare attenzione a non lasciar cadere o a non

urtare l’obiettivo. Evitare inoltre di esercitare una

forte pressione sull’obiettivo.

≥Fare attenzione a non far cadere la custodia in cui

è stato inserito l’obiettivo in quanto questo può

danneggiarsi. La fotocamera può smettere di

funzionare e potrebbe non essere più possibile

registrare delle immagini.

Quando si utilizzano pesticidi e altre sostanze volatili

nelle vicinanze della fotocamera fare attenzione che

non vengano a contatto con l’obiettivo.

Se tali sostanze vengono a contatto con l’obiettivo

possono danneggiarlo o provocare il distacco di vernice.

Non lasciare l’unità installata sulla fotocamera

mentre la si trasporta.

≥Non utilizzare e non lasciare mai l’unità nelle

seguenti condizioni, per evitare problemi di

funzionamento.

– Esposta alla luce del sole, o in spiaggia d’estate

– Temperatura e umidità elevate o soggette a

grossi sbalzi

– Dove sono presenti fiamme

– Vicino a caloriferi, condizionatori o umidificatori

– Dove sono presenti vibrazioni

– All’interno di un’auto

≥Vedere anche le istruzioni per l’uso della

fotocamera digitale.

Quando si prevede di non utilizzare l’unità per un

periodo prolungato, si consiglia di porvi accanto un

disseccante (silica gel). In caso contrario potrebbero

verificarsi dei malfunzionamenti dovuti alla presenza

di muffe ecc. Si consiglia di controllare il

funzionamento dell’unità prima dell’uso.

≥Non lasciare l’obiettivo a contatto per lungo tempo

con prodotti in gomma o in plastica.

≥Non toccare i contatti elettrici dell’unità. In caso

contrario l’unità può guastarsi.

≥Non smontare o alterare l’unità.

Non utilizzare benzina, diluenti, alcol o prodotti

simili per pulire l’unità.

≥L’utilizzo di solventi può danneggiare l’obiettivo o

provocare il distacco di vernice.

≥Rimuovere la polvere o le impronte digitali

protezione in gomma sull'innesto dell'obiettivo

≥本鏡頭具有防塵和防濺構造。使用時，請注意以下

幾點。

如果鏡頭不正確工作，請向經銷商或離您最近的服

務中心諮詢。

–請將鏡頭安裝到防塵和防濺的數位相機上。

–安裝或取下鏡頭時，請確保沒有沙子、灰塵、水滴等

附著或進入到鏡頭接口橡膠、端口內和進入到數位

相機和鏡頭內。

–本鏡頭不防水，無法用於水中拍攝。對於防濺，本鏡

頭採用減少水進入的構造。如果飛濺的水滴等附著

在鏡頭上，使用後請用軟的乾布擦拭。

≥為了改善本鏡頭的防塵性和防濺性，在接口部分使

用了鏡頭接口橡膠。多次更換鏡頭後，在數位相機

機身的接口部分上可能會有鏡頭接口橡膠的滑動痕

跡，這並不影響其性能。

водонепроницаемым. Что касается

брызгозащищенности, конструкция объектива

не допускает проникновения внутрь воды.

Если на объектив попадут капли воды и т. п.,

после использования протрите его сухой

мягкой тканью.
