• Non effettuare mai operazioni di smontaggio e manutenzione

• Questo apparecchio non deve essere utilizzato se è stato

fatto cadere o se vi sono segni di danni visibili o se perde

acqua.

• La spina deve essere rimossa dalla presa, prima che il

serbatoio / caldaia venga riempito con acqua.

• Il prodotto durante l’uso è in pressione. Non rimuovere il

tappo dalla caldaia se è accesa.

• Per effettuare qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione o pulizia

con accesso alla caldaia assicurarsi di aver spento

l’apparecchio attraverso l’apposito interruttore e di averlo

scollegato dalla rete elettrica da almeno 2 ore.

• Scollegare sempre la spina dalla presa di corrente nel caso

l’apparecchio non sia in funzione

• L’apparecchio può essere utilizzato da persone con ridotte

capacità fisiche, sensoriali o mentali, o prive di esperienza o

della necessaria conoscenza, purché sotto sorveglianza

oppure dopo che le stesse abbiano ricevuto istruzioni relative

all’uso sicuro dell’apparecchio e alla comprensione dei

pericoli ad esso inerenti. I bambini devono essere sorvegliati

per assicurarsi che non giochino con l’apparecchio.

• Tenere l'apparecchio fuori la portata dei bambini finché è

acceso oppure non è ancora raffreddato.

• Tenere tutti i componenti dell’imballo lontano dalla portata

dei bambini, non sono un giocattolo. Tenere il sacchetto di

plastica lontano dalla portata dei bambini: pericolo di

soffocamento.

RISCHI CONNESSI ALL’ALIMENTAZIONE ELETTRICA -

ELETTROCUZIONE

• L’impianto di terra e l’interruttore differenziale ad alta

sensibilità “Salvavita”, completo di protezione

magnetotermica del vostro impianto domestico, sono

garanzia di sicurezza nell’uso degli apparecchi elettrici. Per la

vostra sicurezza controllare quindi che l’impianto elettrico a

cui è collegato l’apparecchio sia realizzato in conformità alle

leggi vigenti.

• Non collegare l’apparecchio alla rete elettrica se la tensione

(voltaggio) non corrisponde a quella del circuito elettrico

domestico in uso.

• Non sovraccaricare prese di corrente con spine doppie e/o

riduttori. Collegare unicamente il prodotto a singole prese di

corrente compatibili con la spina in dotazione.

• Prolunghe elettriche non opportunamente dimensionate e

non a norma di legge sono potenzialmente causa di

surriscaldamento con possibili conseguenze di corto circuito,

incendio, interruzione di energia e danneggiamento

dell’impianto. Utilizzare esclusivamente prolunghe certificate

e opportunamente dimensionate che supportino 16A e con

impianto di messa a terra.

• Spegnere sempre l’apparecchio attraverso l’apposito

interruttore prima di scollegarlo dalla rete elettrica.

• Per scollegare la spina dalla presa della corrente non tirare

dal cavo di alimentazione, ma estrarre impugnando la spina

per evitare danni alla presa e al cavo.

• Svolgere completamente il cavo dall’avvolgicavo prima di

collegarlo alla rete elettrica e prima dell’uso. Utilizzare il

prodotto sempre con il cavo completamente svolto.

• Non tirare o strattonare il cavo né sottoporlo a tensioni

(torsioni, schiacciature, stirature). Tenere il cavo lontano da

superfici e parti calde e/o affilate. Evitare che il cavo venga

schiacciato da porte, sportelli. Non tendere il cavo su spigoli

tirandolo. Evitare che il cavo venga calpestato. Non

avvolgere il cavo di alimentazione intorno all’apparecchio in

particolare se l’apparecchio è caldo. Se l’apparecchio

staziona sopra il cavo di alimentazione, potrebbe verificarsi

una situazione di pericolo.

• Non sostituire la spina del cavo di alimentazione.

• Se il cavo di alimentazione è danneggiato, esso deve essere

sostituito dal costruttore o dal suo servizio assistenza tecnica

o comunque da una persona con qualifica similare, in modo

da prevenire ogni rischio. Non utilizzare il prodotto con il

cavo di alimentazione danneggiato.

• Non toccare né usare l’apparecchio se si è a piedi scalzi e/o

con corpo o piedi bagnati.

• Non utilizzare in piscine contenenti acqua. Non utilizzare

l’apparecchio vicino a recipienti pieni d’acqua come ad

esempio lavandini, vasche da bagno, piscine.

• Non immergere l’apparecchio compreso cavo e spina in

acqua o altri liquidi.

RISCHI CONNESSI ALL’USO DEL PRODOTTO – LESIONI /

SCOTTATURE

• Il prodotto non va utilizzato in luoghi dove sussiste pericolo

di esplosioni e dove sono presenti sostanze tossiche.

• Non versare in caldaia sostanze tossiche, acidi, solventi,

detergenti, sostanze corrosive e/o liquidi esplosivi, profumi.

• Versare in caldaia esclusivamente l’acqua o la miscela di

acqua indicata nel capitolo “Quale acqua utilizzare nella

caldaia”.

• Non dirigere il getto di vapore su sostanze tossiche, acidi,

solventi, detergenti, sostanze corrosive.

• Non dirigere il getto di vapore su polveri e liquidi esplosivi,

idrocarburi, oggetti in fiamme e/o incandescenti.

• Il trattamento e la rimozione di sostanze pericolose deve

avvenire secondo le indicazioni dei produttori di tali

sostanze.

• Non posizionare il prodotto vicino a fonti di calore come

camini, stufe, forni.

• Non posizionare il prodotto vicino a campi elettromagnetici

come la piastra ad induzione.

• Riavvolgere il cavo quando l’apparecchio non è in uso.

• Utilizzare l’apposita maniglia per il trasporto. Non tirare per il

cavo di alimentazione. Non utilizzare il cavo di alimentazione

come maniglia. Non sollevare l’apparecchio dal cavo di

alimentazione o dai tubi vapore/aspirazione.

• Non ostruire le aperture e le griglie poste sul prodotto.

• Non dirigere il getto di vapore su qualsiasi parte del corpo di

persone e animali.

• Non dirigere il getto di vapore su abiti indossati.

• Panni e stracci e tessuti su cui è stata fatta una profonda

vaporizzazione raggiungono temperature molto alte

superiori a 100°C. Attendere qualche minuto verificando che

si siano raffreddati prima di maneggiarli. Evitare quindi il

contatto con la pelle se sono stati appena vaporizzati.

• Durante l’uso mantenere il prodotto in posizione orizzontale

e su superfici stabili.

• Il blocco vapore presente sull’impugnatura garantisce una

maggiore sicurezza, in quanto impedisce l’attivazione

involontaria e accidentale dell’erogazione di vapore da parte

dei bambini o persone che non conoscono il funzionamento

dell’apparecchio. Quando il vapore non viene utilizzato

inserire il blocco vapore.

Per riprendere l’erogazione riportare il tasto in posizione

iniziale.

• Utilizzare sempre l’apparecchio con il tappo di sicurezza in

dotazione o un suo ricambio originale. L’uso di tappi non

originali Polti costituisce rischio di incidenti.

• Per effettuare qualsiasi operazione di accesso alla caldaia in

pressione (rimozione tappo, riempimento) assicurarsi di aver

spento l’apparecchio attraverso l’apposito interruttore e di

averlo scollegato dalla rete elettrica da almeno 2 ore per farlo

raffreddare. La caldaia accesa e/o calda e in pressione è

rischio di possibile incidente.

• Non collegare l’apparecchio con il tappo di sicurezza

rimosso. Avvitare accuratamente il tappo di sicurezza prima

di inserire la spina e accendere l’apparecchio.

• Prima di accendere l’apparecchio assicurarsi che nessun

oggetto ostruisca l’imbocco della caldaia (bottiglia di

riempimento, imbuto né altri oggetti) e che il tappo di

sicurezza sia chiuso.

• Assicurarsi che il tappo di sicurezza sia avvitato

Se continua a fuoriuscire vapore dal tappo, farlo raffreddare

per 2 ore e portare l’apparecchio al più vicino centro di

assistenza tecnica.

• Verificare periodicamente lo stato del tappo di sicurezza e

della sua guarnizione. In caso di urto e caduta il tappo

potrebbe non essere più sicuro. Sostituirlo con ricambi

originali o sostituire la guarnizione.

• Se il tappo gira a vuoto vuol dire che c’è ancora pressione e

quindi temperatura in caldaia. Non forzare mai l’apertura del

tappo sia quando l’apparecchio è in funzione che a caldaia

spenta e scollegata dalla rete elettrica. Attendere sempre il

raffreddamento per 2 ore della caldaia per aprire il tappo

senza alcuna forzatura.

• Non utilizzare alcun attrezzo per svitare il tappo. Se non fosse

più rimovibile anche ad apparecchio freddo rivolgersi a un

centro di assistenza autorizzato.

• ATTENZIONE Non riempire mai la caldaia appena si apre il

tappo di sicurezza e la caldaia è ancora calda, anche se la

presa di corrente è staccata; l’acqua fredda, a contatto con la

caldaia calda e vuota evapora provocando uno spruzzo di

vapore che potrebbe causare ustioni a contatto con la pelle;

riempire solo quando la caldaia è fredda e comunque quando

si effettua il riempimento tenere sempre lontano il viso

dall’imboccatura della caldaia.

• L’utilizzo di tappi non originali Polti e il mancato rispetto delle

avvertenze e delle istruzioni riportate in questo manuale è da

ritenersi non conforme. Polti S.p.A. declina tutte le

teristiche, il coadiuvante ideale all’azione del

vapore saturo secco surriscaldato erogato da

Polti Cimex Eradicator.

Polti HPMed è una soluzione idroalcolica che

rimuove i cattivi odori generati dalle cimici

dei letti. Polti HPMed è erogabile in presenza

di persone. Polti HPMed, miscelato al flusso di

vapore facilita la successiva rimozione delle

uova e delle tracce organiche dovute agli

escrementi delle cimici dei letti e l’abbatti-

mento dell’odore tipico di questi insetti.

Per la pulizia esterna dell’apparecchio utiliz-

zare esclusivamente un panno inumidito con

acqua di rubinetto.

Tutti gli accessori possono essere puliti con

acqua corrente assicurandosi che siano com-

pletamente asciutti prima del successivo uti-

lizzo.

Effettuare la pulizia di Polti Steam Disinfector

ogni 10 utilizzi o se visivamente sporco. Pro-

cedere alla pulizia dell’ugello erogatore utiliz-

zando lo spazzolino in dotazione, facendolo

scorrere all’interno della pistola in modo da

asportare eventuali residui di calcare al suo

interno (17).

RISKS CONNECTED TO THE POWER SUPPLY –

ELECTROCUTION

• The earthing system and highly sensitive residual-current

circuit breaker, complete with magnetothermic cut-out for

your domestic system, guarantee safe use of electrical

appliances.

Therefore, for your own safety, check that the electrical

system to which the appliance is connected complies with

current laws.

• Do not connect the appliance to the mains if the voltage does

not correspond with that of the domestic electrical circuit in

use.

• Do not overload sockets with adaptors and/or transformers.

Only connect the product to a single socket with current that

is compatible with the plug supplied.

• Electrical extension leads that are unsuitable for the power

rating or which are not compliant with law may overheat and

possibly lead to short circuiting, fire, power outage or

damage to the equipment. Only use extension leads which

are certified, suitable for the power rating, supporting 16A

and earthed.

• Always turn the appliance off before unplugging it.

• To remove the plug from the socket, do not pull the power

cable, but hold the plug itself to avoid damage to the plug

and the cable.

• Fully unwind the cable from the cable winder before

connecting the appliance to the mains and before use.

Always use the product with the cable completely unwound.

• Do not pull or jerk the cable or expose it to tensions (twisting,

crushing or stretching). Keep the cable away from hot and/or

hydrocarbons, open flames and or extremely hot objects.

• The handling and removal of dangerous substances must be

carried out according to the indications of the manufacturers

of these substances.

• Do not position the product near sources of heat such as

fireplaces, stoves and ovens.

• Do not position the product near electromagnetic fields such

as induction plates.

• Re-wind the cable when the appliance is not in use.

• Use the special carry handle for transport. Do not pull the

power cable. Do not use the power cable as a handle. Do not

lift the appliance using the power cable or the steam

hoses/vacuum tubes.

• Do not obstruct the openings and grills on the product.

• Do not direct the steam jet on any part of the body of people

or animals.

• Do not direct the steam jet onto clothes while they are being

worn.

• Cloths and rags and fabrics which have been subjected to a

deep steam reach very high temperatures, above 100°C. Wait

a few minutes and check that they have cooled before

handling them. Therefore, avoid contact with the skin if they

have just been steamed.

• During use, keep the base in a horizontal position on stable

surfaces.

The steam lock on the handle guarantees greater safety, as it

prevents the accidental activation of steam delivery by

children or people who are unaware of the function of the

appliance. When steam is not being used, engage the steam

lock.

• Always use the appliance with the safety cap supplied or an

original replacement part. Using non-original Polti safety

caps can lead to accidents.

• When accessing the pressurised boiler (removing the cap,

filling up), ensure that the appliance has been switched off at

the power switch and disconnected from the mains for at

least two hours, allowing it to cool. There is a risk of accidents

while the boiler is switched on/hot and pressurised.

• Do not connect the appliance with the safety cap removed.

Carefully tighten the safety cap before plugging in and

turning on the appliance.

• Before turning on the appliance, check that there is nothing

blocking the mouth of the boiler (filler bottle, funnel, or other

objects), and that the safety cap is closed.

• Check that the safety cap is correctly tightened; if steam is

escaping from the cap, switch off the boiler, unplug the

power cable, wait for two hours for the appliance to cool, and

then unscrew. Check the condition of the safety cap and seal.

If the cap is in good condition, screw it back on completely. If

steam continues to escape from the cap, leave it to cool for 2

hours, then take the appliance to the nearest authorised

service centre.

• Periodically check the condition of the safety cap and seal.

Impact and being dropped may compromise the safety of the

cap. Replace with an original spare part or replace the seal.

• If the cap spins freely, this indicates that the boiler is still

pressurised and therefore hot. Never force the cap open,

whether the appliance is switched on or the boiler is switched

off and the appliance is disconnected from the mains. Always

wait for the boiler to cool for 2 hours before opening the cap

without forcing it.

• Do not use tools to unscrew the cap. If the cap cannot be

removed, even once the appliance has cooled, go to your

nearest authorised service centre.

• WARNING Never fill the boiler as soon as the safety cap

has been opened when the boiler is still hot, even if the

appliance is unplugged from the mains. On contact with the

hot, empty boiler, cold water will evaporate producing a

spray of steam which can cause burns. Only fill the boiler

when cold and always keep your face away from the boiler

mouth when filling.

• The use of non-original Polti caps and disregard for the

instructions in this manual constitutes improper use. Polti

mescale use a mix composed of 50% tap wa-

equipped with Polti Steam Disinfector (Polti

worldwide patent), a gun capable of dispen-

sing steam heated to 180°C. Polti Cimex Era-

dicator is a natural and effective method for

eliminating the problem of bed bugs. Labora-

tory tests and field trials have shown that Pol-

ti Cimex Eradicator treatment with dry satu-

rated steam heated to 180° C is able to

eliminate 100% of eggs and larvae and more

than 90% of adult insects with

The steam dispenser, Polti Steam Disinfector,

is equipped with a controlled-expansion heat

exchange device, Polti world patent, which

further heats the steam generated by the boi-

ler to the temperatures reported above. In

this way, eggs, larvae and insects die in a few

seconds from heat shock.

To eliminate 100% of adult insects and get ad-

vice on how to find and remove the bugs,

please follow the instructions listed in the

Quick Guide to Disinfestation.

The Polti HPMed, mixed with the steam at the

time it is dispensed, removes the bad smells

generated by the bed bugs. Polti HPMed is a

water-alcohol solution that can be dispensed

when people are present.

1.1 Remove the appliance from the packaging,

checking that the product is whole and that

all the parts are there.

1.2 Attach the pivoting wheels to the base of

the appliance applying pressure (1).

1.3 Unscrew the safety cap (2) and fill the boi-

ler with 2l of water (3)(if completely empty).

Carefully screw the safety cap back on (2),

checking that it is fully tightened.

This operation must always be carried out

when the boiler has cooled and with the

power cable disconnected from the mains.

1.4 Open the door of the built-in socket and

insert the Polti Steam Disinfector built-in plug

of the steam hose (4), pressing the specific

button and making sure that the hooking pin

is inserted perfectly in the specific locking ho-

le on the socket.

1.5 Unscrew the cap of the Polti HPMed deter-

gent (5).

1.6 Insert the stopper into the bottle (6) until

it rests on the base of the bottle, ensuring

that it stays as straight as possible (7).

1.7 Screw the bottle into the dispensing gun

fitting taking care to ensure that the stopper

enters the hole inside the fitting perfectly,

without bending (8).

1.8 Connect the cable plug to an earthed

power supply of the correct voltage(9).

Completely unwind the power cable before

plugging it into the mains and before use, and

always use the appliance with the power ca-

ble completely unwound.

1.9 Press the boiler switch ( ) and the acces-

sories switch ( ) (10), which will light up to-

gether with the “steam ready” indicator light

( ) and the indicator light on the Polti Steam

Disinfector.

gent make it the ideal aid to the action of dry

saturated steam at high temperatures delive-

red by Polti Cimex Eradicator.

Polti HPMed is a water-alcohol solution that

removes the bad smells generated by bed

bugs. Polti HPMed can be dispensed when

people are present. Polti HPMed, mixed with

the steam flow makes it possible to succes-

sfully remove the eggs, organic traces due to

bed bug faeces and to completely eliminate

the characteristic odour of these insects.

Contains <5% non-ionic surfactant. (EEC Reg.

648/2004).

This appliance is for domestic use only and is

guaranteed for two years from the date of

purchase against any defects present at the

time the goods are handed over; the date of

purchase must be proven via a proof of pur-

chase document valid for tax purposes and

issued by the seller.

For repairs, the appliance must be accompa-

nied by proof of purchase.

This warranty does not affect the consumer

rights deriving from European Directive

99/44/EC as regards some aspects of sale

and warranty of consumer goods, rights whi-

ch the consumer should uphold with respect

to the seller.

This warranty is valid in the countries which

adhere to European Directive 99/44/EC. For

other countries, local regulations on warran-

ties apply.

WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS

During the warranty, Polti guarantees free re-

pair of a product with a manufacturing or fac-

tory defect and, therefore, the client is not lia-

ble to pay for any work or materials.

In case of irreparable defects, Polti may repla-

ce the product free of charge.

To avail of the warranty, the customer should

visit one of the Polti Authorised Service Cen-

tres with proof of purchase from the seller va-

lid for tax purposes and bearing the date of

purchase of the product. Without proof of

purchase and the relative date of purchase,

the work will be charged for. Store the proof

of purchase document safely for the whole

duration of the warranty.

WHAT THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

• Any fault or damage not deriving from a

manufacturing defect.

• Any fault due to improper use or use

other than that indicated in the instruc-

tion booklet, an integral part of the pro-

duct sales contract.

• Any defect resulting from force majeure

(fires, short circuits) or caused by third

parties (tampering).

• Damage caused by the use of non-original

Polti parts, and repairs or modifications

performed by staff or service centres not

authorised by Polti.

• Damage caused by the customer.

• Parts (filter, brush, hose, battery, etc.) da-

maged by use (consumable goods) or

normal wear and tear.

• Any damage caused by limescale.

ries or those that have been modified or
