CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• Do not leave these scales in direct sunlight as this may cause discolouration or malfunction

• Clean the unit with a damp cloth, but do not allow water to penetrate the casing

• If the scales are unlikely to be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to avoid the

possibility of damage from leakage

• Take care not to drop the scales; do not step on the scales or overload them

BEFORE WEIGHING

1. For accurate results, place the scales on a ﬂat, level surface

2. If the ‘Low battery’ indicator displays when the scales are switched on, switch the scales off

and replace batteries before weighing. Low battery power can cause inaccurate readings.

3. If necessary, calibrate the scales

CALIBRATION

1. Ensure the scales are switched OFF

2. Hold down the ON/OFF button and press TARE repeatedly until 4 numbers are displayed on the

screen

3. Press the ON/OFF key. The screen will display ‘CAL’ and then display the maximum weight

(5000g)

4. Press ON/OFF. The scales are now calibrated

WEIGHING

1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the power on

2. Wait until ‘0’ (g) or ‘0.0’ (oz) is displayed on the screen

3. Press ‘MODE’ to select metric or imperial units. The arrow on screen will indicate the selected

measure (‘g’ or ‘oz’)

WEIGHING WITHOUT A CONTAINER

1. Verify the reading is ‘0’; if not, press ‘TARE’.

2. Place an item on the scales

3. The weight will appear on the screen

WEIGHING WITH A CONTAINER

1. Place the empty container on the scales

2. When the weight is displayed, press ‘TARE’. The weight display will return to ‘0’ and TARE will

be displayed on the screen

3. Place the items to be weighed in the container

4. The item weight will appear on the screen

PRECAUTION et ENTRETIEN

• Ne pas laisser la balance exposée directement au soleil pour éviter une décoloration ou un

mauvais fonctionnement de l’appareil

• Nettoyer l’appareil avec un chiffon humide, mais ne laisser pas pénétrer l’eau dans le boitier.

• Si la balance n’est pas utilisée régulièrement, enlever les piles pour éviter toute fuite des piles

• Ne pas laisser tomber ; ne pas marcher sur la balance ou ne pas la surcharger.

AVANT DE PESER

1. Pour une pesée précise, placez la balance sur une surface plate et de niveau

2. Si l’indicateur de ‘batterie faible’ apparait, éteindre la balance et changer les piles. Des piles

faibles peuvent donner des résultats erronés

3. Si besoin, étalonner la balance

ETALONNAGE

1. Vériﬁer que la balance soit bien éteinte (sur OFF)

2. Rester appuyer sur le bouton ON/OFF et appuyer continuellement sur TARE jusqu’à ce 4

chiffres apparaissent sur l’écran.

3. Appuyer sur le bouton ON/OFF. L’écran afﬁchera ‘CAL’ puis le poids maximum (5000 g).

4. Appuyer sur ON/OFF. La balance est étalonnée.

PESER

1. Allumer la balance en appuyant sur le bouton ON/OFF

2. Attendre jusqu’à ce que ‘0 ’ (g) ou ‘0 .0’ (oz) apparait sur l’écran.

3. Appuyer sur ‘MODE’ pour choisir une mesure métrique ou impériale. La ﬂèche sur l’écran

indiquera soit ‘g’ ou ‘oz’.

PESER SANS RECIPIENT

1. Vériﬁer que ‘0’ soit afﬁché : sinon, appuyer sur ‘TARE’

2. Placer le contenu sur la balance

3. Le poids apparait sur l’écran

PESER AVEC RECIPIENT

1. Placer le récipient vide sur la balance

2. Lorsque le poids s’afﬁche, appuyer sur ‘TARE’. Le poids reviendra sur ‘0’ et ‘TARE’ sera

indiquée sur l’écran

3. Placer le contenu dans le récipient

4. Le poids du contenu s’afﬁche

Ne pas jeter les appareils ni autres équipements électriques et électroniques usagés avec

les ordures ménagères. Lorsque l’appareil n’est plus en état de fonctionner et qu’il n’est

pas réparable, recycler l’appareil en accordance avec les régulations nationales.
