IR Thermometer
The STANLEY IR Thermometer is a non-contact
temperature measuring thermometer. It utilizes
infrared technology and a color changing display
for quick, intuitive feedback. The STANLEY
IR Thermometer can be used to measure the
surface temperature of an object or nd thermal
leaks along walls, molding, ductwork and more.
USER SAFETY
WARNING: Read and understand all
instructions. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in personal injury:
• DANGER: Laser Radiation, avoid direct
eye exposure, serious eye injury can result.
• DO NOT Use optical tools such as
a telescope or transit to view the laser beam.
• ALWAYS position the laser so unintentional
eye contact will be avoided.
• DO NOT operate the laser around children or
allow children to operate the laser.
• DO NOT disassemble. Modifying the product
in any way can increase the risk of laser
radiation.
• WARNING: Use of controls or
adjustments or performance of procedures
other than those specied in this manual may
result in hazardous laser radiation exposure.
• DO NOT operate in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of ammable liquids,
gases, or dust.
• ALWAYS use only the batteries specied
for use with this product. Use of any other
batteries may create a risk of re.
• ALWAYS store idle product out of reach of
children and other untrained persons. Lasers
may be dangerous in the hands of untrained
users.
• ALWAYS use only accessories that are
recommended by the manufacturer for you
model. Accessories that may be suitable for
one laser may create a risk of injury when
used on another laser.
• DO NOT remove or deface warning labels.
Removing labels increases risk of laser
radiation.
• DO NOT disassemble, service or repair this
product. Repairs performed by unqualied
personnel could result in serious injury.
• DO NOT direct the laser beam toward aircraft
or moving vehicles.
• DO NOT project laser beam onto a reective
surface.
• DO NOT splash or immerse the unit in water.
• ALWAYS turn off the product when not in
use.
• ALWAYS ensure battery is inserted in the
correct manner, with the correct polarity.

• NEVER intentionally short any battery
terminals.
• DO NOT attempt to charge alkaline
batteries.
• DO NOT dispose of batteries in re.
• ALWAYS remove the battery if storing the
unit for over a month.
• DO NOT dispose of this product with
household waste.
• ALWAYS check local codes and properly
dispose of used batteries.
• PLEASE RECYCLE in line with local
provisions for the collection and disposal of
electrical and electronic waste.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
BATTERY
Open the battery door on the handle of unit
and connect 2 AAA (1.5 V) batteries, ensuring
polarity is correct per the indication on the
inside of case. Replace battery door. It is
recommended to replace the batteries with
new batteries when battery indicator shows

USAGE
1. Point the IR Thermometer at the object
to be measured, pull and hold the
trigger. When the IR thermometer is in
measurement mode the LCD backlight
will illuminate and the laser will be on, the
measurement indicator “SCAN” icon will
also be displayed on the LCD.
• When the trigger is released 3 audible
beeps will sound and the laser will shut off;
the last temperature reading will remain
on the LCD. After 15 seconds the LCD
backlight will turn off and after 1 minute the
IR Thermometer will turn off.

can be used to scan areas for changes in
temperature. While in measurement mode
