1. General information
Thank you for purchasing this high-quality pro-
duct. Please read these operating instructions
carefully before using the appliance for the rst
time and keep them for future reference.

2. Safety instructions
Read the safety instructions carefully before
using the appliance. Pay attention to all war-
nings and instructions both on the appliance
itself and in these operating instructions.
• Avoid any violent impact on the product, e.g.
with sharp or pointed objects.
• Always keep the lighter out of the reach of
children.
• Never open the appliance yourself. Mainte-

nance or repair work may only be carried out
by authorised specialist personnel.
• The lighter and especially the ignition wires
must not come into contact with water or
other liquids.
• To remove wax residue from the ignition
poles (the wires of the ARC ame), use a nail
le, for example.
• Only use the USB socket of a laptop or a
mobile device charger with a maximum out-
put power of 5 V DC / 3000 mA for charging.
Improper charging can lead to a risk of
explosion!
• Do not use the lighter as a light source.
• Always keep the device away from your face,
skin, other people and unsuitable or easily
ammable materials. Make sure that the arc
is completely switched off after each use to
avoid accidents.
• Do not expose the product to direct sunlight,
open re or temperatures above 50 °C, as
this can lead to overheating, malfunctions or
re hazards and shorten the service life of
the product.
• Disconnect the charger from the device
immediately after fully charging.

3. Operation
The TELESTAR CL 9 is equipped with a
rechargeable Li-Ion battery (3.7 V, 220 mAh).
The integrated booster technology converts the
low battery voltage into a semi-sine wave high
voltage (7 kV at 15 kHz) and generates an arc
with an extremely high temperature between
the electrodes.
Thanks to this technology, the lighter is ideal
for lighting cigarettes, candles, replaces and
other highly ammable materials. Thanks to
its rechargeability, it is an environmentally
friendly alternative to conventional gas or petrol
lighters.
Charging the battery:
Charge the device fully before using it for the
rst time. To do this, use the USB port of a lap-
top or a suitable mobile device charger (max. 5
V DC, 3000 mA).
1. Connect the micro USB socket of the lighter
to the USB port or charger - use the cable
supplied.
2. The charging process takes about 2-3 hours.
3. The charge level indicator goes out as soon
as the charging process is complete.
4. Disconnect the charger when fully charged -
the lighter is now ready for use.
Ignition:
1. Open the safety ap by turning the handle
and pressing the silver locking button.
2. Then press the ignition button to create an
arc.
3. Hold the object to be ignited against the arc.

The ignition process ends when you release
the button or automatically after approx. 6-8
seconds thanks to the integrated overload
protection.
After an automatic switch-off, the appliance
must cool down briey before it can be used
again.
Torch:
The LED torch can also be activated by pressing
the ignition button. The safety ap must be
closed when doing so.
