Step 2 Activate the Handset Before Charging the Battery
When the handset battery pack is fully
charged, after 15-20 hours of charging, plug
the telephone cord into the base unit and
then into a telephone wall jack.
Your phone is set for tone dialing. If your
local network requires pulse dialing, please
see “Choosing the dialing mode” on page 17.

Before charging the
battery, push the
pin located on the
bottom of the
handset to activate
(see label with
instructions).
TO SET CALLER ID, LANGUAGE AND DIALING OPTIONS
APress and hold the cid/menu key.
BPress the vol/+ vol/- or key to move
the pointer to an option.
CPress select to change the
option setting.
DPress end to exit, and return the
handset to the base.
OPTIONS INCLUDE
AAuto Talk On/Off
BCIDCW On/Off
(Caller id/call waiting)
CArea Code Enter/Remove
DDial Pulse/Tone
DPlace the handset in the base and
charge continuously for 15 - 20 hours
before using the phone.
BPeel off the label.
CPlug the AC adapter cord into the
base unit and then into a 120V
AC outlet.
Note:
Three Caller ID options are available: AutoTalk,
Caller ID on Call Waiting (CIDCW), and Area Code.
Note: Your handset comes with the battery
already connected. You must activate the
handset. Please see the instructions below.
