Battery installation
Install the battery as shown below.
Insert the battery connector
securely into the socket as
shown below.

Slide the battery compartment
cover towards the center of the
handset until it clicks into place.
3. Place the handset on the charger
to charge.

Add and register a handset
You can add new handsets (
LS6001/LS6001-13/LS6001-15/LS6001-16/LS6001-17
,
purchased seperately) to your telephone system. Each handset must be registered
with the telephone base before use. When rst purchased and properly charged,
each expansion handset alternately displays To register HS... ...see manual and .
The new handset should be charged without interruption for at least 30 minutes
before registering it to the telephone base.
To register a handset:
At the bottom of the telephone base, press and hold
/ for about four seconds until it FIND HANDSET
shows Registering...
On the cordless handset, press then it
shows Registering... Both the telephone base
and cordless handset show and Registered
you hear a beep when the registration process
completes. The registration process takes about
60 seconds to complete.
Deregister handsets
If you want to replace a handset or reassign the designated handset number of
a registered handset, you must deregister all handsets and then deregister each
handset individually.
To deregister all handsets:
Press and hold at the bottom of the telephone base for about /FIND HANDSET
10 seconds until the telephone base shows then Registering... De-register?
Immediately press /FIND HANDSET again. You hear a conrmation tone.
All handsets alternately show To register HS... ...see manualand . The
deregistration process takes about 10 seconds to complete.

Battery charging
Once you have installed the battery, the screen indicates the battery status
(see the table below). For best performance, keep the handset in the telephone
base or charger when not in use. The battery is fully charged after 11 hours of
continuous charging.
