Van harte gefeliciteerd met uw aanschaf van uw nieuwe gashaard van WANDERS. Een comforta-

bele warmtebron waar u jarenlang plezier van zult hebben.

Uw gaskachel kent een zogenaamd gesloten systeem met een dubbelwandig rookkanaal. Uw

gashaard kan daardoor zelfs worden opgesteld in ruimtes zonder ventilatie of met mechanische

ventilatie.

Bij de ontwikkeling van deze haard hebben we gelet op gebruiksgemak, veiligheid en vormgev-

ing. Uw haard is ontwikkeld en geproduceerd in onze eigen fabriek in Netterden en voor een

belangrijk deel handgemaakt. Voor de constructie zijn alleen de beste materialen gebruikt die

voldoen aan internationaal geldende normen. Zo heeft u de garantie van een lange levensduur

voor deze gashaard.

In het eerste deel van deze handleiding geven we u tips en aanwijzingen voor een juist en veilig

gebruik van uw gashaard. In deel twee staan de installatievoorschriften en de technische speciﬁ-

caties. Deze zijn vooral van belang voor de installateur.

Het is raadzaam om voor de ingebruikname van uw gashaard deze handleiding zorgvuldig te

lezen en vervolgens goed te bewaren. Uw installateur kan deze handleiding nodig hebben voor

het jaarlijkse onderhoud van uw gaskachel.

Installatie

Over het algemeen zorgt de dealer waar u uw gashaard

heeft aangeschaft, ook voor de installatie ervan en de

aansluiting op het gasnet. Is dat niet het geval, verzeker

u er dan van dat de installatie wordt uitgevoerd door

een erkende installateur. Aansluiten van gasinstallaties

door onbevoegden is verboden. Wij kunnen u in dat

geval geen garantie geven op de juiste werking van de

gaskachel.

Klaar voor gebruik

Plaats eerst de batterijen (zie pag 6).

Als de batterijen geplaatst zijn moet de elektronische

code ingesteld worden (alleen bij eerste ingebruikname)

druk de reset knop op de ontvanger net zo lang in tot u 2

signalen hoort daarna reset knop loslaten nu moet u bin-

nen 20 sec de kleine vlam knop drukken tot u een lang d

signaal hoort ter bevestiging dat de code is ingesteld.

Tijd instellen

Aansteken van het vuur

Mogelijke oorzaak lucht in de waakvlamleiding.

Belangrijk: Gaat de waakvlam uit, dan dient U minimaal

5 MINUTEN te wachten voordat men de bovenstaande

handelingen herhaalt.

Instellen van de vlamhoogte

gen en om de brander uit te schakelen (doven van het

het vlambeeld geleidelijk.

op toets d drukken verhoogt het vlambeeld geleideli-

jk.

Uitschakelen van het toestel

de brander uit te schakelen.

Belangrijk: Wanneer door welke oorzaak dan ook de

waakvlam dooft, 5 MINUTEN wachten alvorens de

waakvlam opnieuw aan te steken.

Storing

Als blijkt dat de signalen van de afstandsbediening niet

goed bij de kachel (ontvanger) aankomen, kan dit veroor-

zaakt worden door:

knop op de ontvanger in te drukken.

Bediening (handbediening)

Als de batterijen leeg zijn of in geval dat de ontvanger

defect is kan men de kachel ook met de hand bedienen.

Hiervoor moet eerst de ontsteek (piëzo) kabel van de

ontvanger worden ontkoppelt en die voorzichtig op de

piëzo aansluiting van het gasregelblok worden gescho-

ven.

Aansteken van het vuur

1. Open de gas afsluitkraan die in de gasleiding naar

het toestel is gemonteerd.

6. Terwijl men het metalen pennetje ingedrukt houdt,

dient men enkele malen de (vierkante) ontsteekknop

kOBBTUEFiO I” schakelaar) in te drukken om de

zien of de waakvlam brandt.

7. Als de waakvlam brandt, het metalen pennetje nog

10 seconden ingedrukt houden en daarna loslaten.

Gaat de waakvlam uit dan dient u minimaal 5 mi-

nuten te wachten voordat u de bovenstaande stap-

pen herhaalt.

12. Gaskraan sluiten.

Eerste keer stoken

Wanneer u uw gaskachel voor de eerste keer gebruikt,

moet de haard ‘instoken’. Het toestel is voorzien van

een hittebestendige laklaag die nog moet inbranden in

EFLBDIFM%BULBOFFOWFSWFMFOEFHFVSNFU[JDINFF-

brengen, maar is verder onschadelijk. We raden u aan

de kachel circa drie uur te stoken op de hoogste stand

waarbij u de ruimte goed ventileert.

Tijdens het instoken kan er aanslag komen op het kera-

NJTDIFHMBTWBOEFLBDIFMEFVS%F[FBBOTMBHWFSXJKEFSU

u als het glas koud is eenvoudig met een licht vochtige

doek.

Let erop dat er geen houtblokken voor de waakvlam

liggen. Het gas moet vrijelijk naar de hoofdbrander kun-

nen stromen. De hoofdbrander bevindt zich onder de

houtset. Voor een juiste opstelling van de keramische

houtset, zie pag 11.

Het is raadzaam in het stookseizoen de waakvlam te lat-

en branden. Dat voorkomt eventuele condensvorming en

mogelijk kalksporen aan de binnenzijde van de deur.

Batterijen

%F CBUUFSJKFO WBO EF BGTUBOETCFEJFOJOH FO POUWBOHFS

hebben een levensduur van ongeveer één jaar. Gebruik

van alkaline batterijen wordt aanbevolen.

Vervangen is noodzakelijk wanneer bij de afstandsbedi-

FOJOH EF-&% nBVXFSCFHJOUUFCSBOEFOFOIFU XPPSE

iBATT” in het display verschijnt.

Bij de ontvanger de batterijen vervangen te worden zo-

dra lange geluidssignalen (0,8 sec. toon, 0,2 sec. rust)

tijdens de ontsteking hoorbaar zijn (zie pagina 13).

Vervangen van de batterijen van de afstandsbediening

Open het klepje aan de achterzijde. Haal voorzichtig

de 9V-blokbatterij eruit en maak deze los van de con-

tacthouder. Voorkom het trekken aan de kabel. Verbind

de nieuwe batterij en plaats het geheel terug. Sluit het

klepje.

Vervangen van de batterijen van de ontvanger

Trek voorzichtig de gehele ontvanger uit de houder

achter het bedieningsluik (zie pagina 13). Schuif het

klepje open. Verwijder de batterijen uit de batterijhoud-

op de juiste manier van plaatsen van de + en - polen.

Sluit de deksel en plaats de ontvanger weer terug in de

houder.

Onderhoud

Klein onderhoud

U kunt zelf uw haard aan de buitenkant schoonmaken

leen als de haard koud is. Mocht u kofﬁe of iets anders

morsen over de sierlijst terwijl uw haard brandt, zet de

kachel dan onmiddellijk uit. Eenmaal afgekoeld kunt u

eventuele vlekken verwijderen met een licht vochtige

doek. Verwijder regelmatig de eventuele aanslag achter

de deur met een stofzuiger. Voor het openen van de deur

kijkt u op pagina 11.

Gebruik geen agressieve schoonmaak- en schuurmidde-

len en geen kachelpoets.

Verkleuren van wanden, plafonds en roosters

Na het stoken van de haard kunnen wanden, plafonds

voor is. Om verkleuring te minimaliseren verwijzen

wij naar het advies dat gegeven wordt in de sfeer-

haardenbranche. Uw installateur kan u daarover in-

formeren.

Nieuwbouwwoning of recente renovatie?

Wacht zes weken met stoken in een nieuwbouwwon-

ing die recent is opgeleverd, of een ruimte die onlangs

sterk is gerenoveerd. In muren en plafonds zitten dan

nog gassen, weekmakers en vocht afkomstig van

TUVDFOTDIJMEFSXFSL%PPSEFXBSNFMVDIUTUSPNFO

kunnen de vele stofdeeltjes in de ruimte verkleuren

en vastplakken aan wanden en plafonds. Ook het vo-

cht in de muren en plafonds wordt warm, wat gele

vlekken kan veroorzaken.

Let op vingerafdrukken

Pas op dat u het glas aan de binnenzijde van de

kachel niet met de vingers aanraakt. Vingerafdrukken

branden in het glas zodra u gaat stoken en zijn daar-

na niet meer te verwijderen.

Jaarlijks onderhoud

Uw gashaard moet minimaal één keer per jaar worden

gecontroleerd en onderhouden door een erkend installa-

Veiligheid

geveldoorvoer maken deel uit van het verwarmingssys-

teem. Alleen als uw gashaard is geïnstalleerd met het

garanderen dat de kachel veilig brandt.

Een aantal aanbevelingen voor een veilig gebruik van uw

gaskachel:

1. Stook uw gashaard alleen als hij goed gesloten is.

Als het glas is gebroken of de deur geopend is, mag

u de kachel niet gebruiken.

2. Voorkom dat kleine kinderen of hulpbehoevenden

in de buurt van een brandende kachel komen en

laat ze niet alleen als de haard brandt. Gebruik

eventueel een haardscherm.

4. Giet of leg geen brandbare vloeistoffen en materi-

5. Plaats geen brandbare materialen, bijvoorbeeld

gordijnen, vlakbij de haard. Houd minimaal een af-

stand van 1,5 meter aan.

originele onderdelen en door een erkend installa-

teur.

7. Mocht om welke reden dan ook de waakvlam uitval-

len, wacht dan vijf minuten voordat u de kachel

weer ontsteekt.

Mogelijke foutmeldingen

Mocht uw gashaard niet naar wens functioneren, neem

dan contact op met de verkoper van uw gaskachel of een

erkend installateur. Mocht de waakvlam niet aanslaan,

dan kunt u zelf actie ondernemen (meer informatie hier-

over vindt u op pagina 5.

oopdatum, mits de haard op de juiste wijze is geïnstal-

leerd en wordt gebruikt volgens de aanwijzingen in deze

handleiding. Onder de garantie vallen alle gebreken die

te herleiden zijn tot materiaal- en constructiefouten. In

die gevallen ontvangt u gratis nieuwe onderdelen. Ar-

beidsloon en andere kosten vallen niet onder de garan-

Buiten de garantie vallen: storingen ontstaan door:

onoordeelkundig gebruik; niet juiste naleving van de in-

stallatie- en bedieningsvoorschriften; installatie door een

niet-erkend installateur; verwaarlozing van het toestel en

het ombouwen van de haard naar een andere gassoort.

Wanders is niet verantwoordelijk voor eventuele scheu-

ren in sierpleisterwerk en verkleuringen van wanden,

plafonds en/of roosters na het stoken van de haard.

Verkleuringen kunnen ontstaan doordat stofdeeltjes ver-

branden in de convectiemantel. Om de kans op scheu-

ren in sierpleisterwerk en eventuele verkleuringen te

minimaliseren verwijzen wij naar het advies dat gegeven

wordt in de sfeerhaardenbranche. Uw installateur kan u

hierover informeren.

Klachten worden in behandeling genomen nadat de

verkoopﬁrma, installateur of het gasbedrijf een klacht

heeft ingediend, vergezeld van een kopie van de aank-

op verlenging van de garantietermijn. Alle gevolgschade

wordt uitgesloten.

Installatievoorschriften

Algemene aanwijzingen

Uw gashaard mag alleen geïnstalleerd worden door

een bevoegd installateur en in combinatie met het con-

de haard goedgekeurd volgens de Europese CE-norm

voor gastoestellen. Wij bieden geen garantie wanneer

de gaskachel onvolledig of onjuist is aangesloten en/of

geïnstalleerd. Het kanalensysteem bestaat uit een bin-

nenkanaal met een diameter van 100 millimeter en een

buitenkanaal van 150 millimeter.

Het toestel mag alleen geplaatst en aangesloten worden

door een erkend installateur volgens de algemeen

geldende gasinstallatievoorschriften en volgens onder-

nationale en lokale wet- en regelgeving voor plaatsing

en gebruik van gesloten gastoestellen. Alleen een erkend

installateur heeft de bevoegdheid om (volgens de voor-

schriften) de instelwaarden te veranderen en eventuele

overige aanpassingen door te voeren.

Voor de installatie van het toestel dient de installateur

te controleren of de gegevens op het typeplaatje over-

eenkomen met de gassoort en druk waar het toestel op

aangesloten wordt. Is dit niet het geval, dan mag de

gaskachel niet worden aangesloten.

Plaatsing

Als er zich brandgevaarlijk materialen achter of langs de

gaskachel bevinden, moeten brandvrije platen geplaatst

worden.

is geen extra beluchting voor de verbranding nodig.

Isolatie

In verband met de hoge buitenwandtemperaturen tot

circa 150 graden Celsius (300 graden Fahrenheit) is het

verboden brandbare materialen in de nabijheid van het

kanalensysteem toe te passen. Het hele concentrische

kanalensysteem moet brandvrij omkokerd worden tus-

sen de plaats waar deze uit het zicht verdwijnt tot de

uitmonding in gevel of dak. Ventileer het omkokerde

concentrische kanaal door (per verdieping) nabij vloer

en plafond een rooster te plaatsen. Gebruik universele

muurbeugels met een diameter van 150 millimeter voor

het bevestigen van het concentrische kanalensysteem.

Als er gebruik wordt gemaakt van een bestaande schoo-

rsteen, dient u eerst na te gaan of deze schoorsteen

voldoende is geïsoleerd en een voldoende diameter heeft

voor het concentrische kanalensysteem. Als de schoors-

teen eerder is gebruikt voor een hout of kolen openhaard

moet deze vakkundig worden schoongemaakt. Voor

aansluiting van een gashaard op een bestaande schoo-

Het concentrische kanalensysteem bestaat uit drie onder-

delen: de kanalen zelf, de doorvoer door dak of muur en

de uitmonding.

Voorschriften voor het plaatsen van de uitmonding

Uitmonding bovendaks

Bij plaatsing bovendaks, moet de uitmonding minimaal

rekening met de plaats van de uitmonding ten opzichte

van ventilatieopeningen, beweegbare ramen en ver-

Bij plaatsing in een zijgevel, moet de uitmonding mini-

ingsluchttoevoer moet u één van de volgende opstel-

lingsmogelijkheden gebruiken van het WANDERS con-

centrische kanalensysteem: met muurdoorvoer, met

dakdoorvoer of dakdoorvoer met versleping.

Let vooral op een juiste montage als -door bouwkundige

omstandigheden- een deel van het dubbelwandige pi-

jpensysteem moet worden ingebouwd.

Congratulations on your new WANDERS gas ﬁreplace. It will be a comfortable source

of heat to enjoy for many years on end.

Your gas hearth is ﬁtted with a so-called closed system double-walled ﬂue. The ﬂue

gases are directly discharged through the inner ﬂue. The outer pipe extracts fresh air

which produces beautiful and evenly burning ﬂames. In principle, your gas unit can be

installed in all kinds of spaces, even in rooms without any ventilation or with mechani-

cal ventilation.

When designing this ﬁreplace we took particular care of the ease of use, the safety and

the design. Your gas unit is developed and produced at our own factory in Netterden

(the Netherlands) and is for the greater part handmade. Only the best materials are

used for the construction and comply with current international standards. This will

guarantee that your hearth has a long life.

The ﬁrst part of this user’s guide gives you tips and directions about how to use your

gas ﬁreplace correctly and safely. The second part of the manual contains the installa-

tion instructions and the technical speciﬁcations of the gas unit. They are of particular

importance to the installer.

We advise you to read this manual thoroughly before using your new gas ﬁreplace and

to keep the manual in a handy place. Your installer may need the manual for the yearly

maintenance of your ﬁreplace.

Installation

It is common practice for the dealer where you pur-

chased your gas unit to take also care of installing it

and connecting it to the mains. If this is not the case,

please ensure that the installation is done by a certiﬁed

installer. Connecting gas devices by unqualiﬁed persons

is prohibited, in which case we cannot give any guaran-

tee that your gas hearth is functioning properly.

Ready for use

First insert the batteries (see page 20).

Once the batteries are inserted, the electronic code must

be set (only when used for the ﬁrst time). Press the reset

button on the receiver and release the reset button after

within 20 seconds until hearing a long signal indicating

that the code is set.

If the batteries are dead or if the receiver is defect, the

stove can also be manually operated. First disengage the

ignition cable (piezo) cable from the receiver and care-

fully slide it onto the piezo connection of the gas control

block.

Ignition of the ﬁre

1. Open the gas shut-off cock, which is ﬁtted on the

gas pipe to the appliance.

12. Close the gas tap.

Lighting the hearth for the ﬁrst time

When you light your gas unit for the ﬁrst time, the

hearth must ‘anneal’. The unit has a heat resistant lac-

quer which must still burn in. Though this may give an

unpleasant smell, it is otherwise harmless. It is advisable

to turn onto high for about three hours while airing the

room well.

Some deposit may form on the ceramic glass of the door

of the hearth. You can easily remove this deposit with a

damp cloth and if necessary some cleansing agent for

ceramic rings when the glass has cooled down.

Ensure that the logs are not placed in front of the pilot

ﬂame. The gas must be able to stream freely to the main

burner. The main burner is located underneath the log

set. See page 25 for placing the log set properly.

It is advisable to keep the pilot ﬂame burning in heating

seasons to prevent condensation and possible calciﬁca-

tion on the inside of the door.

Batteries

The batteries of the remote control and the receiver have

a life expectancy of about one year. It is advisable to use

alkaline batteries.

Replacing the batteries in the remote control

Open the lid on the backside. Carefully remove the

square 9V battery and disconnect it from the contact

clip. Avoid pulling the cable. Connect the new battery,

put everything back and close the lid.

Replacing the batteries in the receiver

Carefully pull the whole receiver from the holder behind

Newly-built house or recently renovated?

It is advisable to wait six weeks before lighting the

stove in a newly-built house that has recently been

gases, softeners and moisture from plasterwork or

paint. The warm air-streams may discolour the dust

particles in the space which may stick to walls and

ceilings. Even the moisture in the walls and ceilings

will become warm and may cause yellow stains.

Installation instructions

General instructions

Your gas hearth must only be installed by a certiﬁed

concentric pipe system. Only then will the hearth be

approved according to the European CE standards for

gas appliances. We will not give any guarantees if the

gas hearth is ﬁtted and/or installed in an incomplete or

improper manner. The pipe system consists of an inner

pipe with a diameter of 100 millimetres and an outer

pipe with a diameter of 150 millimetres.

The appliance may only be installed and ﬁtted by a cer-

tiﬁed installer in accordance with current universal gas

piping regulations and according to the installation in-

structions mentioned below. Furthermore, the national

and local rules and regulations on placing and using

closed gas appliances shall be applicable. Only certi-

ﬁed installers are authorized to change the preset values

(in line with the regulations) or make any other adjust-

ments.

Before installing the appliance, the installer must check

whether the information on the type tag of the ﬁreplace

corresponds with the gas type and gas pressure to which

the appliance is connected. If it does not match, it is not

allowed to connect the gas unit.

Placing

The gas hearth must not be built into the wall. The dis-

tance from the hearth to the rear wall must be at least 10

enough to hold it.

The gas hearth can be placed in a crack-free and/or me-

chanically ventilated home without difﬁculty. There is

no need for extra ventilation for combustion, or for a

smoke and ﬁre vent. Waste gases are discharged by nat-

ural draught via the inner pipe into the open. The oxygen

needed for burning the ﬁre is supplied from the space

between the pipes. This is the reason that no insulation

must be placed between the inner and the outer pipe.

Commande (commande manuelle)

Si les piles sont épuisées ou si le récepteur est en panne,

vous pouvez faire fonctionner le poêle par la commande

manuelle. Pour cela, détachez tout d'abord le câble

d'allumage (piézo) du récepteur et raccordez-le en glis-

sant avec précaution à la connexion piézo du bloc de

réglage du gaz.

Allumage du feu

1. Ouvrez le robinet de gaz dans le tuyau d'amenée

du gaz raccordé à l'appareil.

Premier chauffage

Votre poêle est couvert d’une laque thermorésistante qui

doit encore être « cuite ». Au premier chauffage, cela

peut entraîner une odeur désagréable, mais inoffen-

sive. Il est recommandé de faire brûler le poêle à grand

feu pendant trois heures environ et de bien ventiler la

pièce.

Pendant la saison fraîche, il est recommandé de laisser la

veilleuse brûler. Cela évite la condensation et les traces

calcaires éventuelles à la face intérieure de la porte.

Changement de couleur des parois, plafonds

et grilles

Par le chauffage du poêle, les parois, plafonds et

grilles peuvent changer de couleur. C’est que des

grains de poussière brûlent dans le manteau de con-

vection. Il s’agit d’un processus naturel dont WAN-

duire au maximum la décoloration, veuillez vous

reporter aux consignes généralement données dans

Vous avez un logement neuf ou rénové récem-

ment?

Il est déconseillé d’allumer un poêle dans un loge-

ment qui vient d’être construit ou qui a été rénové

récemment. Mieux vaut attendre encore six se-

maines. C’est que les murs et plafonds contiennent

encore des gaz, des amollissants et de l’humidité is-

sus du plâtrage et de la peinture. Par les courants

d’air chauds, les grains de poussière dans la pièce

changent de couleur et se collent contre les murs

Quelques consignes pour l’usage de votre poêle en toute

sécurité:

1. Votre poêle à gaz ne peut être utilisé que s’il est

fermé correctement. N’allumez pas le poêle si une

vitre est cassée et tant que la porte est ouverte.

2. Tenez les jeunes enfants et les personnes inﬁrmes

éloignés d’un poêle qui brûle et ne laissez-les pas

seuls dans la pièce. Eventuellement, vous pouvez

mettre en place un pare-feu.

3. Ne laissez jamais les enfants jouer avec la télécom-

mande.

4. Ne versez ou ne mettez pas des liquides ou des

matériaux combustibles sur les bûches. Ils risquent

d’endommager le poêle irrémédiablement.

5. Evitez la présence de matières combustibles, par

un écartement d’au moins 1,5 m.

Feu de cheminée - Que faire ?

Au cas où un feu de cheminée se produirait, fer-

mez immédiatement le clapet dans la cheminée et

tous les tuyaux d’amenée d’air. Alertez les pompi-

ers. Après l’extinction d’un feu de cheminée, faites

contrôler de nouveau la cheminée et le poêle par

votre installateur.

dans une gaine depuis l’endroit où il n’est plus visible

de WANDERS : une traversée murale, une traversée de

toit ou une traversée de toit avec déplacement.

Si le poêle est encastré, il faut prévoir un écartement tout

autour de 5 mm au moins entre le revêtement et le cadre

Ensuite, montez autour du cadre encastrable des protège-

stuc à une distance de 2 mm du cadre encastrable.

Utilisez des écarteurs de 2 mm pour maintenir

l’écartement des protège-stuc.

Terminez le stucage du paroi et nettoyez l’écartement et

enlevez-y le stuc

Après le stucage, attendez au moins 14 jours avant

d’allumer le poêle pour faire disparaître l’humidité.

Mise en place du jeu des bûches

Posez les bûches selon les images ci-après.

Faites en sorte que pour leur conﬁguration vous suiviez

de près l'exemple donné.

Posez d'abord la bûche arrière et le mâchefer sur le brû-

leur et ensuite les autres bûches, le tout de la manière

bûches mais éviter de les placer sur le brûleur même.

Fermez bien la porte avant d'allumer le poêle.

Il est interdit de rajouter quelque chose aux bûches ou

de modiﬁer leur conﬁguration. Faire en sorte que la veil-

leuse peut toujours brûler librement sur le brûleur.

Montage retenue

Il est nécessaire de monter une retenue, en fonction aus-
