Because there are large differences between PC’s and network’s, we can give you only a general

installation guide for the EX-1444. Please refer your computer’s reference manual or contact your

network admin whenever in doubt.

1. At first connect the Transmitter via the included USB cable to the USB port on your PC.

2. Now connect the included power supply (5V / 0.85A) to the 5V connector of the Transmitter.

3. Connect a RJ45 patch cable (optional) to the RJ45 port of the Transmitter and connect the

other and of the network cable to the RJ45 port of the Receiver.

4. Now connect the included power supply (5V / 2A) to the 5V connector of the Receiver.

Attention! Please ensure that the correct power supplys are connected, otherwise the Trans-

mitter and Receiver are not recognized

Die EX-1444 besteht aus einem Transmitter und Receiver. Der Transmitter ist mit einer USB

B-Buchse zum Anschluss an den PC, mit einem RJ45 Anschluss und einer 5V Buchse ausge-

stattet. Der Receiver ist mit vier USB 2.0 A-Buchsen für Endgeräte, einem RJ45 Anschluss und

einer 5V Buchse ausgestattet. Die EX-1444 ermöglicht Ihnen auf einfachste Weise, externe

USB Festplatten, USB Sticks, USB Scanner, Drucker, Tastaturen etc. über ein Netzwerkkabel

anzuschließen. Sie können 4 USB Geräte an die EX-1444 anschließen. Sie ermöglicht Ihnen

somit eine erweiterte Flexibilität und Reichweite zum Anschluss der USB Geräte. Durch die

externe Stromversorgung der Netzteile wird der Transmitter und Receiver funktionsfähig und es

werden an den USB Ports die vollen 500mA zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Datenübertragungsrate

beträgt bis zu 480Mbit/s. Die EX-1444 ist Plug and Play fähig. Es wird keine Software oder

Treiber benötigt.

drivers.

CHECK INSTALLED DRIVER

Open the >Device manager< „USB-Controller“ . Now you should see at the following new

entrys: <Generic USB Hub> .

If you see this or a similar information the device is installed correctly.

CLEANING

For cleaning please use only a dry fluff less cloth and remove the dirt with gently pressure. In

the area of the connectors please make sure that no fibres from the cloth remain in the connect-

ors. Attention! Never use a moist or wet cloth for cleaning!
