theLEDwillashrapidly.Thesounderisaloud,pulsatingalarmandproducesarepeatingTemporal3audiblesignalpattern(0.5son,0.5sofor3cycles,followedby

1.5so,repeating).

Test/HushButtonWhenthereisnoalarmpresent,holdtheTest/Hushbuttonwillactivatethesmokealarmtocheckitsoperation.ThealarmwillsoundandtheLEDwill

ashrapidly.Theunitwillreturntonormalconditioninabout10swhenthetestiscompleted.

WhenthesmokealarmisintheAlarmcondition,presstheTest/Hushbuttonwillhushthesmokealarmforapproximately11min.TheHushfeatureshouldonlybe

usedafterthecauseofthealarmisknown(suchasnormalcookingfumes).TheHushfeatureallowstimeforthesmoketoclear.Duringthehushtime,theLEDwillash

twiceeverysecond.AftertheHushtimehasexpired,thesmokealarmwillreturntonormalsensitivity.Ifsmokeisstillpresentintheunit,thealarmwillre-activate.The

Hushfeaturecanbeusedrepeatedly.

SmokeChamberFault

Thedetectormonitorstheconditionofthesmokesensingchamber.Ifthesmokesensingchamberceasestooperatenormally,thesmokealarmwillemitashort

audiblesignal,thenfollowedbyasingleRedLEDindicatorash,repeatingevery40s.Inthiscase,tryvacuumingcleanthedetectortoremovedust.Ifthecondition

persists,replacethedetectorwithanewunit.

LowBattery

Whenthebatteryisdepleted,thedetectorwillemitashortaudiblesignalandtheRedLEDindicatorash,repeatingevery40sforatleast30days.Interconnected

detectorwillalsoemittwoshortaudiblesignalsandtheRedLEDindicatorwillashtwice,repeatingevery4hours.WhentheLowBatterysignalisgiven,replacedthe

detectorwithanewunit.

Localalarmmemory

Afteralarmoccurs,thegreenLEDgives3ashesevery40supto24h,whichstopsashingafter24hours.Anytimebeforethenextalarm,presstheTestbutton,the

detectorshallemit3audiblebeepsevery1s.ReleaseoftheTestbuttonshallresetthealarm.
