Sicherheitshinweise
• Bei der Verwendung eines elektronischen Geräts sollten immer grundlegende Vorsichtsmaßnahmen beachtet werden, einschließlich der folgenden Hinweise.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur entsprechend seiner Bestimmung laut Gebrauchsanweisung. Bei Zweckentfremdung erlischt der Garantieanspruch.

• Verwenden Sie nur für die Inhalationstherapie geeignete Medikamente in üssiger Form. Bevor Sie eine Therapie mit dem Gerät beginnen, besprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder
Apotheker Anwendungsdauer, Dosierung, Anwendungshäugkeit und die Auswahl der Medikamente.
• Bei der Verwendung dieses Geräts durch Kinder, behinderte Menschen oder Invaliden ist eine strenge Überwachung erforderlich. Außerdem müssen die Dosierung und die
Häugkeit der Anwendung vom verschreibenden Arzt festgelegt werden.
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht unter einer Decke oder einem Kissen. Übermäßige Erwärmung kann zu Bränden, Stromschlägen oder Verletzungen von Personen führen.
• Für die Dauer der Behandlung befolgen Sie bitte den Rat des Arztes und nehmen Sie die vom Arzt empfohlenen Medikamente ein.
• Führen Sie keine Finger, Gegenstände (z. B. Wattestäbchen o.ä.) in die Önung des Gerätes ein - Beschädigungsgefahr!
• Im Falle von Störungen reparieren Sie das Gerät nicht selbst. Lassen Sie Reparaturen nur von autorisierten Servicestellen durchführen.
• Önen Sie das Gerät nicht und nehmen Sie keine Veränderungen vor.
• Dieses Gerät ist nicht für die Verwendung in einem Anästhesie- oder Beatmungsgerät geeignet.
Vor dem Gebrauch
• -Das Gerät ist für einen Betrieb gemäß den in den technischen Daten angegebenen Umgebungsbedingungen ausgelegt. Stellen Sie sicher, dass diese entsprechend ein
gehalten werden.
• Wenn das Gerät beschädigt oder ins Wasser gefallen ist, verwenden Sie es nicht, sondern kontaktieren Sie den Kundenservice bzw. senden Sie es zur Reparatur ein.
• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass alle Zubehörteile sauber bzw. desinziert sind. Reinigen Sie Gerät und Zubehörteile gemäß den in Kapitel „Reinigung und Pege“ bzw. „Des-
infektion“ angegebenen Hinweisen, um die Gefahr von Infektionen zu vermeiden.
• Die maximale Füllmenge des Wirkstotanks

beträgt 10 ml. Befüllen Sie den Tank niemals über die markierte Maximalmenge hinaus.
• Benutzen Sie das Mundstück, die Maske für Erwachsene und die Maske für Kinder niemals zusammen mit mehreren Personen, um bakterielle Infektionen zu vermeiden. Jeder
Nutzer sollte seine eigene Maske bzw. Mundstück verwenden.
Während des Gebrauchs
• Schalten Sie das Gerät niemals ein, wenn sich kein Aerosol im Wirkstotank

bendet.
• Halten Sie das Gerät während des Betriebs im Gleichgewicht und ruhig, um ein Verschütten zu vermeiden.
• Önen Sie die Tankabdeckung nicht während des Betriebs.
• Sollten Sie während des Gebrauchs Beschwerden verspüren, stoppen Sie unverzüglich die Anwendung und holen Sie Rat bei Ihrem Arzt.
• Dieses Gerät verfügt über einen eingebauten 20-minütigen Abschalttimer. Mit jedem Einschalten des Gerätes wird dieser neu gestartet.
• Sollte der Timer abgelaufen sein oder ein anderes Problem (z. B. ungenügende Stromspannung, verbrauchtes Aerosol) zum Abschalten des Gerätes führen, leuchtet die
Indikatorleuchte

rot.
Nach dem Gebrauch
• Reinigen bzw. desinzieren Sie Gerät und Zubehör gemäß den Kapiteln „Reinigung und Pege“ bzw. „Desinfektion“ in dieser Anleitung. Nichtbeachtung kann zu Infektionen
durch sich bildende Mikroorganismen führen.
• Lagern Sie das Gerät und das Zubehör nicht an Orten mit direkter Sonneneinstrahlung, an heißen oder feuchten Orten.
• Das Gerät und das Zubehör dürfen nicht in Spülmaschinen gereinigt oder in Mikrowellengeräten getrocknet werden.
• Halten Sie das Gerät stets fern von Kindern.
BATTERIE-SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
• Batterien nicht auseinander nehmen!
• Schwache Batterien umgehend aus dem Batteriefach entfernen, weil sie auslaufen und das Gerät beschädigen können!
• Erhöhte Auslaufgefahr, Kontakt mit Haut, Augen und Schleimhäuten vermeiden! Bei Kontakt mit Batteriesäure die betroenen Stellen sofort mit reichlich klarem Wasser spülen
und umgehend einen Arzt aufsuchen!
• Sollte eine Batterie verschluckt worden sein, ist sofort ein Arzt aufzusuchen!
• Immer alle Batterien gleichzeitig austauschen!
• Nur Batterien des gleichen Typs einsetzen, keine unterschiedlichen Typen oder gebrauchte und neue Batterien miteinander verwenden!
• Legen Sie Batterien korrekt ein, beachten Sie die Polarität!
• Entnehmen Sie die Batterien, wenn Sie das Gerät mindestens 3 Monate nicht mehr benutzen.
• Batterien von Kindern fernhalten!
• Batterien nicht wiederauaden! Es besteht Explosionsgefahr!
• Nicht kurzschließen! Es besteht Explosionsgefahr!
• Nicht ins Feuer werfen! Es besteht Explosionsgefahr!
• Werfen Sie verbrauchte Batterien und Akkus nicht in den Hausmüll, sondern in den Sondermüll oder in eine Batterie-Sammelstation im Fachhandel!
Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
• Der medisana tragbare Ultraschallvernebler ist für die orale oder nasale Inhalationstherapie mit Medikamentenaerosol in privaten Haushalten bestimmt. Das Gerät IN 515
darf nur von Patienten, die sich eingehend mit der Funktion des Gerätes vertraut gemacht haben bzw. durch medizinisches Fachpersonal beaufsichtigt oder unterwiesen
wurden, benutzt werden.
• Der Benutzer muss vorher diese Gebrauchsanweisung gelesen, deren Inhalt und die Bedienung des Gerätes verstanden haben.
Lieferumfang und Verpackung
Bitte prüfen Sie zunächst, ob der Lieferumfang vollständig ist und der Artikel keinerlei Beschädigungen aufweist. Im Zweifelsfalle benutzen Sie den Artikel nicht und kontaktieren
eine Servicestelle. Zum Lieferumfang gehören:
- 1 medisana Tragbarer Ultraschallvernebler IN 515
- 1 Erwachsenen- und 1 Kindermaske, 1 Mundstück - 2 Batterien (Größe AA/LR6, 1,5V)
- 1 USB-C-Kabel - 1 Gebrauchsanweisung
Verpackungen sind wiederverwendbar oder können dem Roh-
stokreislauf zurückgeführt werden. Bitte entsorgen Sie nicht
mehr benötigtes Verpackungsmaterial ordnungsgemäß.
WARNUNG
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Verpackungsfolien nicht in die Hände von
Kindern gelangen. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr!

Wichtige Informationen zur Verwendung von Medikamenten/Präparaten
HINWEISE
• Bevor Sie ein Medikament oder Präparat verwenden, klären Sie mit Ihrem Arzt ab, ob es auch für Sie geeignet ist, oder verwen-
den Sie nur die Medikamente/Präparate, die von Ihrem Arzt verordnet wurden.
• Das Gerät ist geeignet zur Inhalation aller gängigen Aerosolpräparate, mit Ausnahme von:
- Suspensionen (Medikamentencocktail)
- Lösungen mit hoher Viskosität
- ätherischen Ölen
• Verwenden Sie keine ätherischen Öle, da dies zu Schäden an der Verneblermembrane führen kann!
• Verwenden Sie nur wasserlösliche Präparate / Medikamente oder solche, die auf einer Alkoholbasis hergestellt sind.
• Verwenden Sie zum Verdünnen des Inhalats nur isotonische Kochsalzlösung, da sonst unter Umständen Bronchospasmen
ausgelöst werden können.
• Verwenden Sie kein Inhalat auf Ölbasis.
• Nach der Inhalation von salzhaltigen Lösungen müssen Sie das Gerät unbedingt, wie unter Reinigung und Pege beschrieben,
spülen und reinigen.
Benutzung: Stromversorgung herstellen
Der medisana Ultraschallvernebler kann wahlweise mit 2 x AA Batterien 1,5V oder mittels des USB-C-Kabels mit Strom für die Verwendung IN 515
versorgt werden.
a) Stromversorgung mit Batterien (siehe Abbildung 2):

an der Geräteunterseite in Pfeilrichtung (siehe Abbildung). Legen Sie die beiden mitgelieferten Batterien (Typ AA/
LR6 1,5V) ein. Achten Sie auf die Liegerichtung der Batterien. Schließen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel

wieder. Blinkt bei eingeschaltetem Gerät die

orange, setzen Sie baldmöglichst neue Batterien ein.
b) Stromversorgung mittels USB-C-Kabel (siehe Abbildung 3):
Önen Sie die Abdeckung des USB-C-Anschlusses

und verbinden Sie das USB-C-Kabel mit einer passenden Stromquelle. Das Gerät kann nicht
dazu benutzt werden, wiederauadbare Akkus zu laden.
Vorbereitung der Verwendung (siehe Abbildung 4):
1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist.
2. Önen Sie die Abdeckung des Wirkstotanks

und befüllen Sie ihn mit dem Inhalat (Inhalt maximal 10 ml = 10 ccm). Beachten Sie die Anwendungs-
und Dosierungshinweise auf der Packungsbeilage des jeweiligen Medikamentes, das Sie benutzen.
3. Schließen Sie die Abdeckung des Wirkstotanks

wieder. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Wirkstotank

korrekt platziert ist und halten Sie das Gerät
möglichst gerade, um ein Auslaufen zu verhindern.
Inhalation mit dem Mundstück
1. Setzen Sie sich in eine möglichst aufrechte Position.
2. Stecken Sie das Mundstück

auf die Gerätebasis und umschließen Sie es ganz mit den Lippen.
3. Schalten Sie das Gerät durch Drücken der EIN/AUS-Taste
2
ein. Die Indikatorleuchte
3
leuchtet grün.
4. Atmen Sie nun langsam und tief durch den Mund ein und durch die Nase aus. Sie können die Wirkung der Therapie verbessern, wenn Sie nach
dem Einatmen die Luft kurz anhalten. Dies ist aber für einen generellen Therapieerfolg nicht notwendig. Wichtig ist, dass Sie ruhig und entspannt
bleiben, während Sie gleichmäßig ein und ausatmen. Inhalieren Sie nicht zu schnell. Wenn Sie eine Pause machen möchten, unterbrechen Sie kurz
und nehmen das Mundstück

aus dem Mund. Nehmen Sie es erneut in den Mund (Lippen umschließen es dicht) und atmen Sie wieder langsam
ein und aus.
HINWEISE
• Sie sollten das Gerät möglichst senkrecht halten. Eine geringe Schräglage beeinusst die Anwendung jedoch nicht. Für eine
volle Funktionsfähigkeit achten Sie bei der Inhalation darauf, dass Sie das Gerät möglichst wenig schräg halten.
• Neigt sich die Aerosolmenge dem Ende zu, sollte das Gerät leicht bewegt werden, um die verbleibende Menge besser über die
Membrane zu verteilen.
5. Eine Inhalationsanwendung sollte 20 Minuten nicht überschreiten.
6. Ist der Wirkstotank

leer, leuchtet die Indikatorleuchte

rot und das Gerät schaltet sich nach kurzer Zeit ab. Sie können das Gerät bei Beendigung
der Inhalation auch durch Drücken der EIN/AUS-Taste
2
manuell abschalten - auch dann, wenn Sie nicht das gesamte Inhalat aufgebraucht haben.
7. Schütten Sie restliches Inhalat aus. Verwenden Sie es nicht mehr. Reinigen Sie das Gerät sofort nach jeder Anwendung. (Siehe auch „Reinigung und
Pege“ bzw. „Desinfektion“.) Nachdem das Mundstück

eine Zeit lang benutzt wurde, kann es dazu kommen, dass sich bei Gebrauch 2 - 3 Tropfen
Inhalat im Ansatzrohr des Mundstücks ansammeln. Das hat jedoch keinen Einuss auf Betrieb und Funktion des Gerätes. Entfernen Sie die Tropfen
nach der Anwendung mit einem weichen Tuch.
Inhalation mit der Maske
Alternativ ist im Lieferumfang eine Erwachsenen- und eine Kindermaske enthalten. Damit kann das Aerosol über die Nase eingeatmet werden. Diese
Anwendung wird besonders von älteren Menschen als angenehmer empfunden.
HINWEIS
Bei Verwendung der Maske verbleibt eine größere Aerosolmenge an der Schleimhaut im Nasen-Rachen-Raum als bei der An-
wendung mit dem Mundstück.
Für die Inhalation mit der Maske stecken Sie die Erwachsenen- oder die Kindermaske

zunächst auf den Auslass des Wirkstotanks. Anschließend
befolgen Sie die Schritte wie unter „Inhalation mit dem Mundstück“ beschrieben. Der Unterschied liegt jedoch darin, dass der Mund nicht das Mundstück
umschließt, sondern die Maske leicht über Mund und Nase gepresst wird. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Maske Mund und Nase dicht umschließt, ohne
zu drücken. Atmen Sie nun langsam und tief durch die Nase ein und aus.
Reinigung und Pege (siehe Abbildung 5)
• Nehmen Sie ggf. die Maske bzw. das Mundstück vom Gerät und schütten Sie ggf. vorhandenes Restinhalat aus.
• Halten Sie niemals das gesamte Gerät noch die Verneblereinheit zum Reinigen unter ießendes Wasser, und achten Sie gegebenenfalls darauf,
dass kein Wasser in das Gerät eindringt.
• Starten Sie den Reinigungsmodus des Geräts wie folgt: Geben Sie im ausgeschalteten Zustand 3-6 ml sauberes Wasser in den Wirkstotank

Halten Sie die EIN/AUS-Taste

3 Sekunden lang gedrückt, um den Reinigungsmodus zu aktivieren. Die Indikatorleuchte

blinkt langsam grün.
Das Gerät arbeitet für 3 Minuten und schaltet sich dann automatisch ab, um den Reinigungsmodus zu beenden.
• Trennen Sie nun die Stromversorgung (Batterien herausnehmen und/oder USB-C-Kabel entfernen).
• Drücken Sie die Freigabetaste

auf der Geräterückseite und nehmen Sie den Wirkstotank

ab.
• Spülen Sie das Innere des Wirkstobehälters 5 mindestens 3 Minuten lang mit sauberem Wasser aus, ohne den Boden des Bechers auszuspülen,
wie in der Abbildung dargestellt.
• Das Gehäuse des Gerätes reinigen Sie mit einem leicht feuchten Tuch, das Sie mit einer milden Seifenlauge tränken.
• Reinigen Sie die Maske bzw. das Mundstück unter ießendem Wasser.
• Anschließend lassen Sie alle Teile auf einer trockenen, weichen Unterlage (z. B. einem Handtuch) an der Luft gründlich trocknen.
• Diese Reinigung sollten Sie auch durchführen, wenn das Gerät längere Zeit nicht benutzt wurde und vor der allerersten Anwendung.
Desinfektion (siehe Abbildung 6)
Bei infektiösen Erkrankungen müssen Sie die folgenden Schritte zur Desinfektion zusätzlich zur Reinigung ausführen. Wir empfehlen, diese Maßnahme
entweder regelmäßig morgens oder abends zu einem festen Zeitpunkt durchzuführen:
• Spülen Sie die Maske(n) und das Mundstück mit destilliertem Wasser ab.
• Bringen Sie destilliertes Wasser in einem Topf zum Kochen.
• Legen Sie das Mundstück für 5 Minuten in das kochende Wasser.
• Nehmen Sie die Teile anschließend aus dem Wasser und lassen Sie sie an der Luft (z. B. auf einem Handtuch liegend) trocknen und abkühlen.
• Alternativ zu kochendem, destilliertem Wasser können Sie die Teile auch in eine 75%-ige Reinigungsalkohol-Lösung legen - hierbei verkürzt sich
die Einlagezeit auf 1 Minute. Anschließend die Teile mit destilliertem Wasser abspülen und an der Luft trocknen lassen.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Reste des Desinfektionsmittels auf den Geräteteilen verbleiben, um die nächste Inhalationsanwendung nicht zu
gefährden.

Alkoholische Lösungen sind hochentzündlich. Führen Sie daher die Reinigung NIEMALS in der
Nähe von oenem Feuer oder Rauch aus.
Transport und Aufbewahrung
• Bewahren Sie das Gerät mit allen Teilen an einem trockenen und sauberen Ort auf.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass während Transport und Lagerung keinerlei Flüssigkeiten mehr im Wirkstotank

sind.
• Entfernen Sie bei längerem Nichtgebrauch die Batterien.
• Vermeiden Sie Lagerplätze mit direkter Sonneneinstrahlung, extremen Temperaturen und hoher Feuchtigkeit.
• Halten Sie das Gerät stets fern von Feuer, elektromagnetischer Strahlung und von Kindern.

Das nebenstehende Symbol einer durchgestrichenen Mülltonne auf Rädern zeigt an, dass dieses Gerät der Richtlinie 2012/19/EU unterliegt. Diese Richtlinie besagt, dass

Safety Information

• This device is not suitable for use in an anaesthetic breathing system or a ventilator breathing system.
Before use
• The device is designed for operation in accordance with the ambient conditions specied in the technical data. Ensure that these are complied with accordingly.
• If the appliance is damaged or has fallen into water, do not use it, but contact customer service or send it in for repair.
• Make sure that all accessories are clean or disinfected. Clean the device and accessories in accordance with the instructions in the ‘Cleaning and care’ and ‘Disinfection’
chapters to avoid the risk of infection.
• The maximum lling quantity of the active ingredient tank

• Never use the mouthpiece, the mask for adults and the mask for children together with several people to avoid bacterial infections. Each user should use their own mask or

During use
• Never switch on the device if there is no aerosol in the active ingredient tank

• Keep the device balanced and steady during operation to prevent spillage.
• Do not open the tank cover during operation.
• If you experience any discomfort during use, stop use immediately and consult your doctor.
• This appliance has a built-in 20-minute switch-o timer. This is restarted each time the device is switched on.
• If the timer runs out or another problem (e.g. insucient power supply, used aerosol) causes the device to switch o, the indicator light

lights up red.
After use
• Clean and disinfect the appliance and accessories in accordance with the ‘Cleaning and care’ and ‘Disinfection’ sections in these instructions. Failure to do so can lead to
infections caused by microorganisms.
• Do not store the device and accessories in places exposed to direct sunlight or in hot or humid places.
• The appliance and accessories must not be cleaned in dishwashers or dried in microwave ovens.
• Always keep the appliance away from children.
SAFETY NOTES FOR BATTERIES
• Do not disassemble batteries!
• Never leave any low battery in the battery compartment since it may leak and cause damage to the unit.
• Increased risk of leakage! Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes! If battery acid comes in contact with any of these parts, rinse the aected area with copious

Intended use
• The medisana portable ultrasonic nebuliser IN 515 is intended for oral or nasal inhalation therapy with medication aerosol in private households. The device may only be used
by patients who have thoroughly familiarised themselves with the function of the device or who have been supervised or instructed by qualied medical personnel.
• The user must rst read these instructions for use and have understood their content and the operation of the device.
Scope of delivery and packaging
Please check rst of all that the device is complete and is not damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use the appliance and contact your dealer or your service centre.
The following parts are included:

Important information when using preparations / medications
NOTES
• Consult your doctor before using any medicinal products or medicines to ensure that they are suitable for your needs or alter-
natively only use the medicinal products/medicine prescribed for you by your doctor.
• The medisana ultrasound nebulizer is suitable for use with all common aerosol products (aerosols) with the exception of:
- Products with solid constituents (suspensions)
- Viscous solutions (high viscosity)
- Volatile oils
• Do not use any volatile oils since this may lead to damage to the nebulizer mesh.
• Use only water-soluble products/medicines or those which have an alcohol base.
• Use only isotonic saline solution to dilute the inhalant; otherwise bronchial spasms may occur in certain circumstances.
• Do not use oil-based inhalants.
• After using the device for salt solution inhalation, it must be cleaned and rinsed out, according to section „Cleaning and care“.
Use: Establish power supply
The ultrasonic nebuliser can be powered either with 2 x AA 1.5V batteries or using the USB-C cable. medisana IN 515
a) Power supply with batteries (see gure 2):
Open the battery compartment lid

on the underside of the device in the direction of the arrow (see illustration). Insert the two batteries supplied (type
AA/LR6 1.5V). Pay attention to the direction in which the batteries are positioned. Close the battery compartment lid

again. If the indicator light

ashes orange when the device is switched on, insert new batteries as soon as possible.
b) Power supply via USB-C cable (see gure 3):

and connect the USB-C cable to a suitable power source. The device cannot be used to charge rechargeable
batteries.
Preparation for use (see gure 4)
1. Make sure, the device is switched o.
2. Open the cover of the active ingredient tank

and ll it with the inhalant (maximum content 10 ml = 10 ccm). Observe the application and dosage
instructions on the package leaet of the medication you are using.
3. Close the cover of the active ingredient tank

again. Ensure that the active ingredient tank

is positioned correctly and keep the device
as level as possible to prevent leakage.
Inhalation using the mouthpiece
1. Sit as upright as possible.
2. Put the mouthpiece

onto the device base and enclose the mouthpiece completely with your lips.
3. Switch on the device by pressing the ON/OFF button

lights up in green.
4. Now breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth and out through your nose. You can improve the eectiveness of the therapy, if you hold your
breath for a short time after breathing in. However, this is not necessary for general success of the therapy. It is only important that you keep quiet
and relaxed while breathing Do not inhale too fast. If you need a break, stop using the device for a short time and take the mouthpiece

out of your
mouth. Then put it into your mouth again (lips enclosing it tightly) and breathe slowly in and out again.
NOTES
• Hold the device as upright as possible. A slight tilt does not aect its use. However, take care during inhalation to only tilt the
device slightly in any direction.
• Tilt the device slightly when the remaining aerosol is almost exhausted to make sure the residual quantity will be spread
through the mesh and sprayed completely.
5. An inhalation application should not exceed 20 minutes.

device manually by pressing the ON/OFF button

when you have nished inhaling - even if you have not used up all the inhalation solution.
7. Pour out the remaining inhalation solution. Do not use it again. Clean the device immediately after each use. (See also ‘Cleaning and care’ or ‘Disin-
fection’.) After the mouthpiece

has been used for a while, 2 - 3 drops of inhalation may collect in the mouthpiece‘s neck tube during use. However,
this has no eect on the operation and function of the device. Remove the drops with a soft cloth after use.
Inhalation using the mask
Alternatively, a child- and an adult inhalation mask is supplied with the device. These masks may be used for inhaling aerosol through the nose. This
method is particularly suitable for elderly people.
NOTE
A larger amount of aerosol remains on the mucosa of the nasal pharynx when using the mask than when using the mouthpiece.
For the inhalation with the mask, plug the adult or the child mask

onto the outlet of the ingredient tank. Afterwards, follow the steps mentioned in
chapter „Inhalation using the mouthpiece“. The dierence is, that the mouth does not need to be put on the mouthpiece, but instead needs to be pressed
lightly over your mouth and nose. Make sure, that the mask seals around mouth and nose without being too tight. Now breathe in and out slowly and
deeply through your nose.
Cleaning and care (see gure 5)
• If necessary, remove the mask or mouthpiece from the device and pour out any residual inhalation.
• Never hold the entire device or the nebuliser unit under running water to clean it and, if necessary, ensure that no water enters the device.
• Start cleaning mode of the device as follows: In shutdown state, add 3-6 ml of clean water into the active ingredient tank

. Press and hold ON/OFF

for 3 seconds to activate the cleaning mode. The indicator light

ashes slowly in green. The device will be working for 3 minutes and then
automatically shuts down to end the cleaning mode.
• Now disconnect the power supply (take out the batteries and/or remove the USB-C cable).

• Rinse the interior of the active ingredient tank

with for a minimum of 3 minutes, avoiding rinsing the base of the cup, as depicted in clean water
the gure.
• Clean the housing of the device with a slightly damp cloth soaked in mild soapy water.
• Clean the mask or mouthpiece under running water.
• Then allow all parts to air dry thoroughly on a dry, soft surface (e.g. a towel).
• You should also carry out this cleaning if the device has not been used for a long time and before using it for the very rst time.
Disinfection (see gure 6)
In the case of infectious illnesses, you need to follow below steps for disinfection additionally. We recommend, that this measure is performed regularly
either in the morning or the evening at a xed time:
• Rinse the mask(s) and the mouthpiece with distilled water.
• Boil some distilled water in a pot.
• Put the mouthpiece into the boiling water for 5 minutes.
• Remove the pieces from the water and let them dry and cool down on the open air (e.g. on atowel).
• Alternatively (instead of using distilled water) you may disinfect the pieces with a solution of 75% cleaning alcohol - with this, the time to put the
pieces into the liquid reduces to 1 minute only. Afterwards, rinse the pieces with distilled water and let them dry on the open air.
• Make sure that no disinfectant residues are left behind on the parts of the device to ensure safe inhalation when next used.

Veiligheidsinstructies
• Bij het gebruik van een elektronisch apparaat dienen altijd elementaire veiligheidsmaatregelen in acht te worden genomen, inclusief de volgende instructies.

en de keuze van de medicamenten voor u een therapie met het apparaat begint.
• Wanneer dit apparaat wordt gebruikt door kinderen of mensen met een beperking is streng toezicht noodzakelijk. De dosering en de gebruiksfrequentie moeten ook worden
bepaald door de arts die het gebruik heeft voorgeschreven.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet onder een deken of een kussen. Overmatige warmte kan leiden tot brand, elektrische schokken of lichamelijk letsel.
• Volg het advies van de arts over de duur van de behandeling en neem de door de arts aanbevolen medicijnen in.
• Stop geen vinger of voorwerp (bijv. wattenstaafje e.d.) in de opening van het apparaat - kans op beschadiging!
• Repareer het apparaat niet zelf als het mankementen vertoont. Laat reparaties uitsluitend uitvoeren door een erkende servicedienst.

Vóór het gebruik
• Het apparaat is ontwikkeld voor gebruik in een omgeving die voldoet aan de voorwaarden, zoals beschreven in de technische gegevens. Zorg dat u zich daaraan houdt.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet verder als het beschadigd is of in het water is gevallen, maar neem contact op met de klantenservice of stuur het op ter reparatie.
• Controleer of alle onderdelen schoon resp. gedesinfecteerd zijn. Voorkom het risico van infectie, volg de instructies en reinig het apparaat en de onderdelen, zoals beschreven
in het hoofdstuk “Reinigen en onderhoud” resp. “Desinfecteren”.
• Het reservoir

kan maximaal worden gevuld met 10 ml. Vul het reservoir nooit verder dan het gemarkeerde maximum.
• Voorkom een bacteriële infectie, gebruik het mondstuk, het masker voor volwassenen en het masker voor kinderen nooit met meerdere personen. Elke gebruiker dient zijn
eigen masker resp. mondstuk te gebruiken.
Tijdens het gebruik
• Schakel het apparaat nooit in als er geen aerosol in het reservoir

zit.
• Houd het apparaat tijdens het gebruik in evenwicht en stil om knoeien te voorkomen.
• Open de klep van het reservoir niet tijdens het gebruik.
• Stop onmiddellijk met het gebruik en raadpleeg uw arts als u tijdens het gebruik klachten krijgt.
• Dit apparaat heeft een timer waarmee hij na 20 minuten automatisch uitschakelt. Telkens als het apparaat wordt ingeschakeld start deze timer opnieuw.
• Als de timer afgelopen is of het apparaat uitschakelt als gevolg van een ander probleem (bijv. onvoldoende stroomspanning, aerosol op) gaat het indicatielampje

branden.
Na het gebruik
• Reinig resp. desinfecteer het apparaat en de onderdelen, zoals beschreven in het hoofdstuk “Reinigen en onderhoud” resp. “Desinfecteren” in deze gebruiksaanwijzing.
Wanneer deze instructies niet worden nageleefd kan dit leiden tot infecties als gevolg van de groei van micro-organismes.
• Bewaar het apparaat en de onderdelen niet op plaatsen waar ze blootgesteld worden aan direct zonlicht, hitte of vocht.
• Het apparaat en de onderdelen mogen niet worden gereinigd in de vaatwasser of worden gedroogd in de magnetron.
• Houd het apparaat altijd uit de buurt van kinderen.
VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES BATTERIJEN
• Haal batterijen niet uit elkaar!
• Verwijder batterijen die bijna leeg zijn meteen uit het batterijvak, omdat ze kunnen gaan lekken en het apparaat kunnen beschadigen!
• Verhoogd risico op lekken, voorkom contact met de huid, ogen en slijmvliezen! Spoel bij contact met batterijzuur de aangedane plaats onmiddellijk ruimschoots met schoon
water en raadpleeg meteen een arts!
• Raadpleeg onmiddellijk een arts wanneer een batterij is ingeslikt!
• Vervang alle batterijen altijd gelijktijdig!
• Plaats alleen batterijen van hetzelfde type, gebruik geen verschillende types of gebruikte en nieuwe batterijen tegelijk!
• Plaats de batterijen op de juiste wijze en let daarbij op de polariteit!
• Verwijder de batterijen als u het apparaat tenminste 3 maanden niet gaat gebruiken.
• Houd batterijen uit de buurt van kinderen!
• Laad de batterijen niet opnieuw op! In dat geval bestaat explosiegevaar!
• Niet kortsluiten! In dat geval bestaat explosiegevaar!
• Niet in open vuur gooien! In dat geval bestaat explosiegevaar!
• Gooi gebruikte batterijen en accu‘s niet bij het huisvuil, maar zamel ze apart in of lever ze in bij een winkel waar batterijen worden verkocht!
Gebruik volgens de voorschriften
• De medisana draagbare ultrasone vernevelaar is bedoeld voor orale of nasale inhalatietherapie met medicamentenaerosol in de thuissituatie. Het apparaat mag IN 515
uitsluitend worden gebruikt door patiënten die de werking van het apparaat grondig hebben leren kennen of die onder toezicht staan van of geïnstrueerd zijn door een medisch
deskundige.
• De gebruiker moet eerst deze gebruiksaanwijzing hebben gelezen en de inhoud daarvan en de bediening van het apparaat hebben begrepen.
Levering en verpakking
Controleer eerst of alles is meegeleverd en of het artikel niet beschadigd is. Gebruik het artikel bij twijfel niet en neem contact op met een servicedienst. Meegeleverd:
- 1 draagbare ultrasone vernevelaar medisana IN 515
- 1 masker voor volwassenen, 1 masker voor kinderen, 1 mondstuk
- 2 batterijen (type AA/LR6, 1,5 V) - 1 USB-C-kabel - 1 gebruiksaanwijzing
De verpakkingen kunnen worden hergebruikt of worden

Belangrijke informatie over het gebruik van medicamenten/preparaten
AANWIJZINGEN
• Overleg met uw arts voordat u een medicament of preparaat gebruikt of het ook voor u geschikt is of gebruik uitsluitend de
medicamenten/preparaten die uw arts heeft voorgeschreven.
• Het apparaat is geschikt voor het inhaleren van alle gangbare aerosolpreparaten, met uitzondering van:
- suspensies (cocktail van medicamenten)
- oplossingen met een hoge viscositeit
- etherische oliën
• Gebruik geen etherische oliën, omdat die het membraan van de vernevelaar kunnen beschadigen!
• Gebruik uitsluitend preparaten/medicamenten die wateroplosbaar zijn of op een alcoholbasis zijn geproduceerd.
• Gebruik voor het verdunnen van het inhalatiemiddel uitsluitend een isotone zoutoplossing, omdat anders onder bepaalde
omstandigheden bronchospasmen kunnen worden veroorzaakt.
• Gebruik geen inhalatiemiddel op oliebasis.
• Spoel en reinig het apparaat altijd, zoals beschreven bij "Reinigen en onderhoud", na het inhaleren van zouthoudende
oplossingen.
Gebruik: stroomtoevoer herstellen
Om de medisana ultrasone vernevelaar te gebruiken kan hij van stroom worden voorzien met 2 AA-batterijen van 1,5 V of met behulp van de IN 515
USB-C-kabel.
a) Stroomtoevoer met batterijen (zie illustratie 2):
Open de klep van het batterijvak

aan de onderkant van het apparaat in de richting van de pijl (zie afbeelding). Plaats de 2 meegeleverde batterijen
(type AA/LR6 1,5 V). Let er daarbij op dat de batterijen in de juiste richting worden geplaatst. Sluit de klep van het batterijvak
7
weer. Vervang de
batterijen zo snel mogelijk door nieuwe als bij een ingeschakeld apparaat het indicatielampje
3
oranje knippert.
b) Stroomtoevoer met behulp van de USB-C-kabel (zie illustratie 3):
Open het afdekklepje van de USB-C-aansluiting

en verbind de USB-C-kabel met een geschikte stroombron. Het apparaat kan niet worden gebruikt
om oplaadbare batterijen op te laden.
Voorbereiding van het gebruik (zie illustratie 4)
1. Zorg dat het apparaat uitgeschakeld is.
2. Open de klep van het reservoir

en vul dit met het inhalatiemiddel (inhoud maximaal 10 ml = 10 ccm). Lees de gebruiks- en doseringsinstructies op
de bijsluiter van het medicament dat u gebruikt zorgvuldig door.
3. Sluit de klep van het reservoir

weer. Controleer of het reservoir
5
juist geplaatst is en houd het apparaat zo recht mogelijk om te voorkomen dat
het gaat lekken.
Inhaleren met het mondstuk
1. Ga zo goed mogelijk rechtop zitten.
2. Plaats het mondstuk

op het apparaat en sluit uw lippen er volledig omheen.
3. Schakel het apparaat in door op de aan-/uitknop
2
te drukken. Het indicatielampje
3
brandt groen.
4. Adem nu langzaam en diep door de mond in en door de neus uit. U kunt de werking van de therapie verbeteren door na het inademen de lucht
kort vast te houden. Voor een algemeen resultaat van de therapie is dit echter niet nodig. Het is belangrijk dat u rustig en ontspannen blijft terwijl
u gelijkmatig in- en uitademt. Inhaleer niet te snel. Als u wilt kunt u even een korte pauze houden en het mondstuk

uit de mond halen. Doe het
opnieuw in de mond (lippen omsluiten het volledig) en adem weer langzaam in en uit.
AANWIJZINGEN
• Houd het apparaat zoveel mogelijk rechtop. Als het een beetje schuin wordt gehouden, heeft dit echter geen invloed op het
gebruik. Let voor een optimale werking op dat u tijdens het inhaleren het apparaat zo recht mogelijk houdt.
• -Beweeg het apparaat een beetje als de hoeveelheid aerosol bijna op is, zodat de resterende hoeveelheid beter over het mem
braan wordt verdeeld.
5. Een behandeling mag niet langer dan 20 minuten duren.
6. Als het reservoir

leeg is, brandt het indicatielampje

rood en schakelt het apparaat snel daarna uit. U kunt het apparaat na aoop van het
inhaleren ook handmatig uitschakelen door op de aan-/uitknop
2
te drukken, ook als al het inhalatiemiddel nog niet opgebruikt is.
7. Giet het resterende inhalatiemiddel uit het reservoir. Gebruik dit niet nogmaals. Maak het apparaat na gebruik altijd direct schoon. (Zie ook “Reinigen
en onderhoud” en “Desinfecteren”.) Als het mondstuk
4
een lange tijd in gebruik is, kunnen tijdens het gebruik 2 - 3 druppels inhalatiemiddel in het
buisje van het mondstuk verschijnen. Dat heeft echter geen invloed op het gebruik en de werking van het apparaat. Verwijder de druppels na gebruik
met een zachte doek.
Inhaleren met het masker
Er is ook een masker voor volwassenen en een masker voor kinderen meegeleverd. Daarmee kan het aerosol via de neus worden ingeademd. Deze
toepassing vinden met name ouderen aangenamer.
LET OP
Bij het gebruik van het masker blijft een grotere hoeveelheid aerosolen op de slijmvliezen van de neus/keelholte achter dan bij
het gebruik met het mondstuk.
Voor het inhaleren met het masker dient het masker voor volwassenen of voor kinderen

op de uitgang van het reservoir te worden geplaatst. Volg
daarna de aanwijzingen zoals beschreven in “Inhaleren met het mondstuk”. Het verschil is dat de mond niet om het mondstuk sluit, maar dat het masker
over de mond en de neus wordt gehouden. Let op dat het masker goed om de mond en de neus sluit, zonder te duwen. Adem nu langzaam en diep
door de neus in en uit.
Reinigen en onderhoud (zie illustratie 5)
• Haal het masker resp. het mondstuk van het apparaat af en giet het evt. resterende inhalatiemiddel eruit.
• Houd voor het reinigen nooit het gehele apparaat of de vernevelunit onder stromend water en let op dat er geen water in het apparaat komt.
• Start de reinigingsmodus van het apparaat als volgt: zorg dat het apparaat uitgeschakeld is en doe 3-6 ml schoon water in het reservoir
5
. Activeer
de reinigingsmodus door de aan-/uitknop
2
gedurende 3 seconden ingedrukt te houden. Het indicatielampje
3
knippert langzaam groen. De
reinigingsmodus duurt 3 minuten en het apparaat beëindigt deze modus door automatisch uit te schakelen.
• Haal nu de stroomtoevoer los (batterijen verwijderen en/of USB-C-kabel loshalen).
• Druk op de ontgrendelingsknop

aan de achterkant van het apparaat en haal het reservoir

los.
• Spoel de binnenkant van het reservoir 5 minstens 3 minuten met . Spoel niet de onderkant van de beker uit, zie afbeelding.schoon water
• De behuizing van het apparaat kunt u schoonmaken met een doek die licht vochtig is gemaakt in een mild schoonmaakmiddel.
• Maak het masker resp. het mondstuk schoon onder stromend water.
• Laat daarna alle delen goed aan de lucht drogen op een droge, zachte ondergrond (bijv. een handdoek).
• Als het apparaat gedurende langere tijd niet is gebruikt en vóór het allereerste gebruik dient u het ook op deze wijze te reinigen.
Desinfecteren (zie illustratie 6)
Bij infectieziekten dient u het apparaat behalve te reinigen ook te desinfecteren door de volgende stappen uit te voeren. Wij adviseren om
onderstaande handelingen regelmatig ‘s ochtends of ‘s avonds op een vast tijdstip uit te voeren:
• Spoel het/de masker(s) en het mondstuk af met gedestilleerd water.
• Breng gedestilleerd water in een pan aan de kook.
• Leg het mondstuk gedurende 5 minuten in het kokende water.
• Neem de onderdelen daarna uit het water en laat ze aan de lucht (bijv. liggend op een handdoek) drogen en afkoelen.
• In plaats van kokend, gedestilleerd water kunt u de onderdelen ook in een oplossing van reinigingsalcohol 75% leggen - ze hoeven daar maar 1
minuut in te liggen. Spoel de onderdelen vervolgens af met gedistilleerd water en laat ze drogen aan de lucht.
• Let op dat er geen resten van het desinfectiemiddel op de onderdelen achterblijven, dat zou anders een gevaar op kunnen leveren tijdens de
eerstvolgende keer dat het apparaat wordt gebruikt.

Alcoholische oplossingen zijn uiterst brandbaar. Reinig het apparaat daarom NOOIT in de
buurt van open vuur of rook.
Transport en bewaren
• Bewaar het apparaat en alle onderdelen op een droge en schone plaats.
• Zorg dat er tijdens het transport en het bewaren geen vloeistoen meer in het reservoir

zitten.
• Verwijder de batterijen als het apparaat een langere tijd niet wordt gebruikt.
• Bewaar het niet op plaatsen waar het blootgesteld wordt aan direct zonlicht, extreme temperaturen en een hoge luchtvochtigheid.
• Houd het apparaat altijd uit de buurt van vuur, elektromagnetische straling en van kinderen.

b. schades die het gevolg zijn van een reparatie of interventie door de koper of een onbevoegde derde;
c. transportschades die zijn ontstaan op weg van de fabrikant naar de consument of tijdens de verzending naar de servicedienst;

• Le nébuliseur ultrasonique portable medisana IN 515 est destiné aux traitements par inhalation orale ou nasale d’aérosols médicamenteux à domicile. Seuls les patients qui
se sont bien familiarisés avec le fonctionnement de l’appareil ou qui ont été suivis ou formés par du personnel médical spécialisé peuvent utiliser l’appareil.
• L’utilisateur doit avoir préalablement lu ce mode d’emploi et compris son contenu ainsi que l’utilisation de l’appareil.
Contenu de la livraison et emballage
de service. La livraison comprend :

• N’utilisez pas d’huiles essentielles car cela peut endommager la membrane du nébuliseur !
• N’utilisez que des préparations / médicaments solubles dans l’eau ou fabriqués à base d’alcool.
• Pour diluer le produit d’inhalation, utilisez uniquement une solution saline isotonique, pour éviter de déclencher des
bronchospasmes dans certaines circonstances.
• N’utilisez pas de produit à inhaler à base d’huile.
• Après l’inhalation de solutions salines, vous devez impérativement rincer et nettoyer l’appareil comme décrit dans la rubrique
Nettoyage et entretien.
Utilisation : Établir l’alimentation électrique
Le nébuliseur à ultrasons peut être alimenté au choix avec 2 piles AA 1,5 V ou en utilisant l’alimentation par câble USB-C pour son medisana IN 515
utilisation.

Inhalation avec le masque
La livraison comprend également un masque pour adulte et un masque pour enfant. Ils permettent d’inhaler l’aérosol par le nez. Ce mode d’utilisation
est considéré comme plus agréable, en particulier par les personnes âgées.
REMARQUE
La quantité d’aérosol déposée sur la muqueuse du nasopharynx est plus importante avec le masque qu’avec l’embout buccal.
Pour l’inhalation à l’aide du masque, insérez d’abord le masque adulte ou le masque enfant

sur la sortie du réservoir de principe actif. Suivez ensuite
que le masque est légèrement pressé sur la bouche et le nez. Veillez à ce que le masque enveloppe hermétiquement la bouche et le nez sans exercer
de pression. Inspirez et expirez maintenant lentement et profondément par le nez.
Nettoyage et entretien (voir illustration 5)
• Le cas échéant, retirez le masque ou l’embout buccal de l’appareil et videz le produit d’inhalation résiduel éventuellement présent.
• Ne passez jamais l’appareil complet ni le nébuliseur sous l’eau courante pour le nettoyer et, le cas échéant, veillez à ce que l’eau ne pénètre pas
dans l’appareil.
• Démarrez le mode nettoyage de l’appareil comme suit : Lorsque l’appareil est éteint, ajoutez 3 à 6 ml d’eau propre dans le réservoir de principe
actif

• Vous pouvez également mettre les pièces dans une solution d’alcool de nettoyage à 75 % au lieu de l’eau distillée bouillante – dans ce cas, le
temps d’immersion est réduit à 1 minute. Rincez ensuite les pièces avec de l’eau distillée et laissez-les sécher à l’air libre.

tipo de aplicación suele resultar más agradable, sobre todo para personas de mayor edad.
NOTA
Cuando se utiliza la mascarilla, queda una mayor cantidad de aerosol en la membrana mucosa de la zona nasofaríngea que
cuando se utiliza la boquilla.
Para la inhalación con la mascarilla, en primer lugar coloque la mascarilla para adultos o para niños

continuación, siga los pasos indicados en «Inhalación con la boquilla». La diferencia radica en que la boca no rodea la boquilla, sino que la mascarilla se

Limpieza y cuidados (véase la ilustración 5)

• Ponga agua destilada a hervir en una olla.
• Introduzca la boquilla en el agua hirviendo durante 5 minutos.

Utilizzo: collegare all’alimentazione elettrica

• Non tenere mai l’intero dispositivo o l’unità di nebulizzazione sotto l’acqua corrente per la pulizia e, se necessario, assicurarsi che l’acqua non penetri
nel dispositivo.
• Avviare la modalità di pulizia del dispositivo come segue: quando è spento, mettere 3-6 ml di acqua pulita nel serbatoio del principio attivo
