Wireless Remote Control

These instructions are intended for users without

any speciﬁc technical knowledge. Please read these

instructions carefully prior to operating the remote

control and keep them for later reference.

1 Applications

The remote control can be used together with the

controllers CU-1BT, CU-3BT and CU-4BT. Thus, it is pos-

sible to control the LED strip connected to the control-

ler CU-..BT via a remote control. The model CU-1BTT

is designed for wall mounting; the model CU-2BTT is

a hand-held remote control. The operating range is

approx. 15 m.

2 Important Notes

The remote control corresponds to all relevant direc-

tives of the EU and is therefore marked with .

•

The remote control is suitable for indoor use only.

Protect it against dripping water and splash water,

high air humidity and heat (admissible ambient tem-

perature range 0 – 40 °C).

•

For cleaning only use a dry soft cloth; never use water

or chemicals.

•

No guarantee claims for the remote control and no li-

ability for any resulting personal damage or material

damage will be accepted if the unit is used for other

purposes than originally intended, if it is not correctly

connected or operated, or if it is not repaired in an

expert way.

If the remote control is to be put out of oper-

ation deﬁnitively, take it to a local recycling

plant for a disposal which is not harmful to

the environment.

Never put batteries in the household waste. To protect

the environment, always take them to a special waste

disposal, e. g. collection container at your retailer.

2.1 Conformity and approval

Herewith, MONACOR INTERNATIONAL declare that

the remote controls (CU-1BTT and CU-2BTT) comply

with the directive 2014 /53/EU. The EU declaration of

conformity is available on request from MONACOR

INTERNATIONAL. The remote controls are generally

approved for operation in EU and EFTA countries, they

are licence-free and require no registration.

3 Setting the Remote Control into Operation

The remote control is supplied with a battery. Prior to

initial operation, remove the protective ﬁlm from the

battery compartment. To access the battery compart-

ment:

 At the CU-1BTT, use a screwdriver to prise off the sup-

port plate on the rear side

 At the CU-2BTT, take off the battery compartment

cover

If the remote control is not used for a longer time, re-

move the battery as a precaution so that the remote

control will not be damaged in case the battery should

leak.

Replacing the battery

1) Open the battery compartment as described above.

2) At the model CU-1BTT, push the gold-coloured

retention clip outwards.

3) Remove the discharged battery and insert the new

battery (3 V button cell of type CR 2032), positive

pole facing upwards.

3.1 Mounting the CU-1BTT

1) -Remove the support plate on the rear side (chap

ter3).

2) Screw the support plate to a suitable location on the

wall.

3) Place the remote control, with the button facing

upwards, onto the plate and then press on the re-

mote control to ﬁx it securely onto the support plate.

3.2 Pairing controller and remote control

For the controller to respond to the remote control,

ﬁrst pair the remote control with the controller.

A single remote control can also simultaneously be

paired with multiple controllers. A maximum of 5 re-

mote controls can be paired with a single controller.

1) Disconnect the controller(s) from the power supply

for at least 5 seconds.

2) Connect the controller(s) to the power supply again

and then simultaneously press the buttons and 

within 5 seconds. The status LED of the controller

will ﬂash 3 times in light green as a conﬁrmation.

3) -If applicable, repeat steps 1 and 2 for additional re

mote controls.

4 Operation

1) To switch the LEDs on and off, press the button .

2) Use the buttons  and  to call up the settings one

after the other that have been saved as favourites

on the smartphone or iPad by means of an app (see

instructions of the controller).

When a button on the remote control is pressed, the

status LED of the controller will brieﬂy light up in white.

Funk-Fernbedienung

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Benutzer ohne be-

sondere Fachkenntnisse. Bitte lesen Sie die Anlei-

tung vor dem Betrieb gründlich durch und heben

Sie sie für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten

Die Fernbedienung kann mit den Steuergeräten

CU-1BT, CU-3BT und CU-4BT kombiniert werden. Der

am CU-..BT angeschlossene LED-Streifen lässt sich so

über die Fernbedienung steuern. Das Modell CU-1BTT

ist für die Wandmontage vorgesehen; das Modell

CU-2BTT dient als Handfernbedienung. Die Reichweite

beträgt ca. 15 m.

2 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch

Die Fernbedienung entspricht allen relevanten Richt-

linien der EU und ist deshalb mit gekennzeichnet.

•

Verwenden Sie die Fernbedienung nur im Innenbe-

reich und schützen Sie sie vor Feuchtigkeit, Tropf-

und Spritzwasser sowie vor Kälte und Hitze (zulässi-

ger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

•

Verwenden Sie zum Säubern nur ein trockenes wei-

ches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.

•

Wird die Fernbedienung zweckentfremdet, nicht

richtig angeschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht

fachgerecht repariert, kann keine Haftung für dar-

aus resultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden und

keine Garantie für die Fernbedienung übernommen

werden.

Soll die Fernbedienung endgültig aus dem

Betrieb genommen werden, übergeben Sie

sie zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem

örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.

Batterien dürfen nicht in den Hausmüll geworfen wer-

den. Geben Sie sie zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung

nur in den Sondermüll (z. B. zurück zum Händler oder

zu öffentlichen Sammelstellen).

2.1 Konformität und Zulassung

Hiermit erklärt MONACOR INTERNATIONAL, dass die

Fernbedienungen (CU-1BTT und CU-2BTT) der Richt-

linie 2014 /53/EU entsprechen. Die EU-Konformitäts-

erklärungen können bei MONACOR INTERNATIONAL

angefordert werden. Die Fernbedienungen sind für

den Betrieb in den EU- und EFTA-Staaten allgemein

zugelassen und anmelde- und gebührenfrei.

3 Inbetriebnahme

Die Fernbedienung wird mit einer Batterie geliefert.

Vor dem ersten Betrieb die Schutzfolie aus dem Batte-

riefach ziehen. Das Batteriefach ist zugängig:

 Bei CU-1BTT nach dem Abhebeln (mit Hilfe eines

Schraubendrehers) der festgeklemmten, rückseitigen

Halteplatte

 Bei CU-2BTT nach dem Abnehmen des Batteriefach-

deckels

Bei längerem Nichtgebrauch die Batterie sicherheits-

halber herausnehmen, damit die Fernbedienung bei

einem eventuellen Auslaufen der Batterie nicht be-

schädigt wird.

Batterie auswechseln

1) Das Batteriefach, wie zuvor beschrieben, öffnen.

2) Bei dem Modell CU-1BTT die goldfarbene Haltefeder

nach außen drücken.

3) Die alte Batterie entfernen und die neue Batterie

(3-V-Knopfzelle, Typ CR 2032) mit dem Pluspol nach

oben einsetzen.

3.1 Montage der CU-1BTT

1) Die rückseitige Halteplatte abnehmen (Kap. 3).

2) Die Halteplatte an geeigneter Stelle der Wand fest-

schrauben.

3) Die Fernbedienung mit der Taste nach oben zei-

gend auf die Halteplatte setzen und durch Drücken

festklemmen.

3.2 Steuergerät und Fernbedienung zuordnen

Die Fernbedienung muss zuerst dem Steuergerät zuge-

ordnet werden, damit das Steuergerät auf die Fernbe-

dienung reagiert.

Eine Fernbedienung lässt sich auch mehreren Steu-

ergeräten gleichzeitig zuordnen. Den Steuergeräten

lassen sich bis zu 5 Fernbedienungen zuordnen.

1) Das (die) Steuergerät(e) mindestens 5 s von der Strom-

versorgung trennen.

2) Nach dem Wiederanlegen der Stromversorgung

innerhalb von 5 s die Tasten und gleichzeitig 

drücken. Zur Bestätigung blinkt die Status-LED des

Steuergeräts dreimal hellgrün.

3) -Die Bedienschritte 1 und 2 ggf. für weitere Fernbe

dienungen wiederholen.

4 Bedienung

1) Zum Ein- und Ausschalten der LEDs die Taste

drücken.

2) Mit den Tasten und lassen sich die Einstellun  -

gen nacheinander abrufen, die als Favoriten über

die App auf dem Smartphone oder iPad gespeichert

wurden (siehe Anleitung des Steuergeräts).

Die Status-LED des Steuergeräts leuchtet kurz in Weiß,

wenn eine Taste auf der Fernbedienung gedrückt wird.
