• Detach the folding arm from the VESA Plate by removing the bolt (shown in the magnification bubble)
using Hex Wrench (#F). Keep this bolt, it will be reinstalled in Step 8.
Detach the Folding Arm
Step 1
• With a stud finder locate the ceiling joist and hold the Ceiling Mount (#A) on the stud at the desired
location. Mark the center of the mounting holes with a pencil, ensuring that you mark the middle of the
smaller side of the teardrop shaped hole as shown here. Note: You may need to rotate the arm to
access the bolt holes.
• Use a 3/16” drill bit and drill on the marked locations to a depth of 2.2”
• Install 1 Lag Screw (#W-A) onlyon the side that was marked for the teardrop shaped hole, and do not
tighten fully. Leave a gap of approximately .17” (4mm) between the bottom of the bolt head and the
ceiling.
Wood Stud Mounting Option
Step 3a
• Hold the Ceiling Mount (#A) at the desired location. Mark the center of the mounting holes with a pencil,
ensuring that you mark the middle of the smaller side of the teardrop shaped holes, shown here.
• Use a 3/8” drill bit and drill on the marked locations to a depth of 2.4”. Clear any dust and debris from
the holes and insert the Concrete Anchors (#W-B). Note: Do not drill mounting holes into mortar (such as
between bricks or stones) only drill and install into solid stone or concrete surfaces.
• Install 2 Lag Screw (#W-A) only on the side that was marked for the teardrop shaped holes, and do not
tighten fully. Leave a gap of approximately .17” (4mm) between the bottom of the bolt head and the ceiling.
Concrete/Brick Mounting Option
Step 3b
• Unfold the ceiling bracket from the arm by pressing them together which will release the latch, then
unfold the bracket so that it is turned away from the arm.
