BLADEASSEMBLY
Never submerge can opener in water.
1.Unplug cord from outlet. Lift piercing lever to
verticalposition (5). Hold can opener and ease
cutting assembly out of case. Wash in dishwasher
orinhot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
2.To replace blade assembly, hold piercing lever
invertical position. Insert shaft into key hole.
Pushinpiercing lever all the way. Rotate piercing
lever clockwise until it is horizontal. If lever
isproperly engaged, it cannot be removed
fromcanopener when in horizontal position.

Cutting mechanism may collect food or paper
from can labels and should be washedfrequently.
HOWTOSHARPENKNIVES
Do not attempt to sharpen hollow ground blades
orthose with serrated edges.
1.Be sure knife is clean and free of grease.
2.Place heel of knife into the guide slot located on
theback of the can opener. Lightly draw the blade
towards you, applying a slight downward pressure
(6). Repeat this procedure four to fivetimes to put
asharp edge on the knife.
CORDSTORAGE
A cord storage area is located on the back oftheunit (7).
Pull out as much cord as required to reach outlet.
Pushexcess cord into cord storage hole located on
theback of the can opener.
MAINTENANCEAND
WARRANTY
The motor and internal gears of your can opener unit
are permanently lubricated at the factory for lifetime
service and require no further attention. The cutting
blade is made of hardened steel andwilllast for years
under normal use. Donotattemptto sharpen.
OPENINGCANS
Plug electrical cord into 120 volt, 60cycleACoutlet.
Raise can opener lever to upright position (1).
Insertcan so that the lower edge of the can lip
restson top of the drive wheel. Be certain that the
cutting edge is on the inside of the can lip as shown
(2). Push can opener lever down firmly (3) and hold
until the can lid isautomatically pierced and the
cutting action begins. It is not necessary to hold
thecan opener lever down during the cutting cycle.
When the can is fully open, the cutting action
willautomatically stop. The can will remain in
positionuntil the lever is raised. To release the can,
grasp the can firmly in one hand and raise the lever
with the other hand. The magnetic lid holder
willretain the lid (4).
DENTEDCANS:
Occasionally, badly dented cans
willcause the can opener to stall. Ifthishappens,
grasp the dented can and guide it through the
cuttingaction manually until the damaged areas
arepassed.
JAMMEDCANS:
To open a can that has become
jammed, raise the can opener lever andrelease
thecan. Begin the cutting action again in a new
placeonthe can lip.
CLEANING
To insure proper sanitation, all removable parts
onthe can opener should be detached and
cleanedthoroughly in warm, sudsy water at
regularintervals. Before cleaning,

CONSERVE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES
ABRIENDOLATAS
Conecte el cordón eléctrico a una toma de corriente
de 120 voltios, 60 Hz, CA.
Levante la palanca delabrelatas y colóquela en
posición vertical (1). Inserte la lata de manera que
laorilla inferior delborde de la lata descanse sobre
larueda de corte. Asegúrese de que la orilla de corte
esté en el interior del borde de la lata, tal como se
muestra en laFigura(2). Presione firmemente la
palanca delabrelatas hacia abajo (3) y sosténgala
asíhasta que latapadelalata sea perforada
automáticamente ycomience la acción de corte.
Noes necesario sostener la palanca del abrelatas
hacia abajo duranteel ciclo decorte.
Cuando la lata esté completamente abierta, laacción
de corte se detendrá automáticamente. Lalata
continuará en su lugar hasta que levante lapalanca.

LATASABOLLADAS:
Ocasionalmente, el abrir latas

sedetenga. Si esto pasa, tome la lata abollada y
guíela a través de la acción de corte de manera
manual, hasta que las áreas que están dañadas
seancortadas.
LATASATORADAS:
Para abrir una lata que se
haatorado, levante la palanca del abrelatas y
liberela lata. Inicie nuevamente la acción de corte
enotro lugar del borde de la lata.

One-Year Limited Warranty
S
unbeam Products, Inc., or if in Canada, Sunbeam Corporation (Canada) Limited (collectively “Sunbeam”)
warrants that for a period of one year from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects
in material and workmanship. Sunbeam, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component
of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a
new
or remanufactured product or component. If the product isnolonger available, replacement may
bemade
with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and
isnot transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty
performance. Sunbeam dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling Sunbeam products do not
have the right to alter, modify oranyway change the terms and conditions of this warranty.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following:
negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the
operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than Sunbeam or an
authorized Sunbeam service center. Further, the warranty does not cover: Acts of God, such as fire,
flood, hurricanes and tornadoes.
What Are the Limits on Sunbeam’s Liability?
Sunbeam shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach
ofany express, implied or statutory warranty or condition.
Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability
orfitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty.
Sunbeam disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, express, implied, statutory orotherwise.
Sunbeam shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or
