The solar panel acts as the major energy source: it converts sunlight into electricity
and recharges the internal battery. Please note that when installing the lamp, the
solar cells require as much DIRECT SUNLIGHT as possible (at least 6 ~ 8 hours). The
longer the solar cells are exposed to direct sunlight, the longer the lamp will stay ON
during the night.
ASSEMBLY LOCATION
When the lamp is in a location that receives less sunlight, it will operate for fewer
hours per night. Night times can also vary depending on how bright the sky is on any
given day. Insufficient charging of the battery will affect performance and may result in
the fact that the lamp goes off before dawn because the battery was not fully charged.
The solar panel is best directed as much as possible towards the south in order to
maximize exposure to direct sunlight. Please note that the four different seasons (and
the sun’s angle in these 4 periods) can affect the burning time of the lamp. Select a
location that is not located close to other light sources, such as for example street
lighting, because this enables the lamp to be switched off automatically.
Maximum burning time is 5-8 hours. Max. charging time is 8 hours in direct sunlight.
INSTALLATION (SEE ILLUSTRATION)
Use the screw provided in the package to mount the lamp. Choose a stable, solid
and supportive surface and make sure the lamp is mounted faced towards the sun.
Mounting height is 1.8 ~ 2.5 meters. Leave at least 5 mm of the screw above the
surface hatch to fix the lamp properly. This lamp is intended only for external use.
Turn on the lamp by setting the AUTO/OFF switch in the “AUTO” position. To check
that the lamp is set to “AUTO”, you can cover the solar panel with your hand. The lamp
will turn on automatically. In the “OFF” position, the solar cells will charge the battery
without activating the lamp. Leave the switch in this position for at least 2 or 3 sunny
days so the battery can be fully charged before using it.
CLEANING
Make sure the solar panel is kept dust free and clean. Clean it regularly with a dry
cloth or with warm, soapy water. Dirty solar panels may not fully charge the battery.
This can lead to premature aging of the battery and may result in unreliable operation
of the device.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem 1: Light does not turn on if something or someone moves into the detection range.
Possible solution:
Make sure that:
- The switch is in the “AUTO” position.
- The motion sensor is clean (if not, please clean it).
- The solar panel is clean (if not, please clean it).
- The solar cell was mounted so that it is able to receive as much as possible direct
sunlight during the day.
- The battery is sufficiently charged (if not, leave again for 1 ~ 2 sunny days charging
in “OFF” position).
Problem 2: Light flashes.
Possible solution:
- Weak battery. Let the lamp charge again for 1 ~ 2 sunny days (or 3-4 “Ordinary” days)
in the “OFF” position.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
For best results, you need to replace the batteries every 24 months. Loosen the
screws on the back of the bulb. Remove the old battery. Make sure the new battery is
rechargeable (1x AA 3.2V 500mAh LiFeP04). Install the new battery and take care of the
proper polarity. Close the battery compartment.
DISPOSAL
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate
collection facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding the
collection systems available. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or
dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food
chain, damaging your health and well-being. When replacing old appliances with new
ones, the retailer is legally obligated to take back your old appliance for disposals at
least free of charge.

ZONNEPANEEL
Het zonnepaneel fungeert als de belangrijkste energiebron: het zet zonlicht om in
elektriciteit en laadt de interne batterij. Houd er bij het monteren rekening mee dat
de zonnecellen zo veel mogelijk DIRECT ZONLICHT (minstens 6~8 uur) vereisen. Hoe
langer de zonnecellen worden blootgesteld aan direct zonlicht, hoe efficiënter de lamp
’s nachts zal blijven branden.
MONTAGEPLAATS
Wanneer de lamp zich op een plaats bevindt die minder zonlicht ontvangt, zal deze ook
daadwerkelijk minder uren per nacht branden. Nachtelijke doorlooptijden kunnen ook
variëren afhankelijk van hoe helder de hemel is op een bepaalde dag. Onvoldoende
laadtijd van de batterij zal de prestatie beïnvloeden en kan resulteren in het feit dat
de lamp nog voor dageraad dooft, omdat de batterij niet volledig opgeladen werd. Het
zonnepaneel dient zo veel mogelijk naar het zuiden gericht te worden om blootstelling
aan direct zonlicht te maximaliseren. Houd er rekening mee dat de vier verschillende
seizoenen (en de hoek waarin de zon zich tijdens die 4 periodes bevindt) de doorlooptijd
van de lamp kunnen beïnvloeden. Selecteer een locatie die zich niet dicht bij andere
lichtbronnen bevindt, zoals bijvoorbeeld straatverlichting, omdat hierdoor de lamp
automatisch uitgeschakeld kan worden.
Maximale brandtijd is 5-8 uur. Max. laadtijd bij direct zonlicht is 8 uur.
INSTALLATIE (ZIE ILLUSTRATIE)
Gebruik de schroef meegeleverd in de verpakking om de lamp te monteren. Kies
voor een stabiel, solide en ondersteunend oppervlak en zorg ervoor dat de lamp in de
richting van de zon gemonteerd wordt. Montagehoogte bedraagt 1,8 ~ 2,5 meter. Laat
minstens 5 mm van de schroef boven het oppervlak uitkomen om de lamp goed te
kunnen bevestigen. Deze lamp is enkel gemaakt voor buitengebruik.
Zet de lamp aan door de AUTO/OFF schakelaar in de “AUTO” positie te zetten. Om te
controleren of de lamp in “AUTO” stand staat, kunt u het zonnepaneel met uw hand
bedekken. De lamp zal automatisch aan gaan. De lamp is standaard uitgeschakeld. In
de “OFF”-stand, zullen de zonnecellen de batterij laden zonder de lamp te activeren.
Laat de schakelaar in deze positie staan gedurende minstens 2 of 3 zonnige dagen. Zo
kan de batterij volledig opladen alvorens u deze daadwerkelijk gaat gebruiken.
SCHOONMAKEN
Zorg ervoor dat het zonnepaneel stofvrij en proper blijft. Maak dit regelmatig schoon
met een droge doek of met warm zeepwater. Vuile zonnecellen kunnen de accu niet
volledig laden. Dit kan leiden tot voortijdige veroudering van de accu en kan leiden tot
onbetrouwbare werking van het apparaat.
PROBLEEMOPLOSSING
Probleem 1: Licht schakelt niet aan als er iets of iemand beweegt in het detectiebereik.
Mogelijke oplossing:
Zorg ervoor dat:
- De schakelaar zich in de “AUTO” positie bevindt.
- De bewegingssensor schoon is (indien niet, gelieve dit te reinigen).
- Het zonnepaneel schoon is (indien niet, gelieve dit te reinigen).
- De zonnecel zo gemonteerd werd, dat deze zo veel mogelijk direct zonlicht kan ontvangen
tijdens de dag.
- De accu voldoende geladen werd (indien niet, laat deze nogmaals gedurende 1 ~ 2
zonnige dagen laden in “OFF” positie).
Probleem 2: Licht knippert.
Mogelijke oplossing:
- Zwakke accu. Laat de lamp nogmaals gedurende 1~2 zonnige dagen (of 3-4
‘gewone’ dagen) laden in “OFF” positie.
BATTERIJEN VERVANGEN
Voor het beste resultaat dient u de batterijen om de 24 maanden te vervangen. Maak
de schroeven aan de achterkant van de lamp los. Verwijder de oude batterij. Zorg
ervoor dat de nieuwe batterij oplaadbaar is (1x AA 500mAh 3.2V LiFeP04). Installeer
de nieuwe batterij en neem de juiste polariteit in acht. Sluit het batterijcompartiment.
VERWIJDERING
Evacueer elektrische apparaten niet bij huishoudelijk afval, maak gebruik van de
afvalverzamelpunten van uw gemeente. Vraag uw gemeentebestuur naar de locaties
van de afvalverzamelpunten. Als elektrische apparaten ongecontroleerd geëvacueerd
worden, kunnen er tijdens de verwering gevaarlijke stoffen in het grondwater en
daardoor in de voedselketen terechtkomen of kunnen flora en fauna jarenlang
vergiftigd worden. Indien u het apparaat door een nieuw vervangt, is de verkoper
wettelijk verplicht, het oude apparaat met het oog op de afvalverwerking minstens
gratis in ontvangst te nemen.
