SHELLY PLUS ADD-ON

Read before use

This document contains important technical and safety

information about the device, its safety use and instal-

lation.

⚠CAUTION! Before beginning the installation, please read

this guide and any other documents accompanying the de-

vice carefully and completely. Failure to follow the installa-

tion procedures could lead to malfunction, danger to your

health and life, violation of the law or refusal of legal and/

or commercial guarantee (if any). Allterco Robotics EOOD

is not responsible for any loss or damage in case of incor-

rect installation or improper operation of this device due to

failure of following the user and safety instructions in this

guide.

Product Introduction

Shelly Plus Add-on (the Device) is a galvanically isolated

sensor interface to the Shelly Plus devices.

Legend

Device terminals:

• VCC: Sensor power supply terminals

• DATA: 1-Wire data terminals

• GND: Ground terminals

• ANALOG IN: Analog input

• DIGITAL IN: Digital input

• VREF OUT: Reference voltage output

• VREF+R1 OUT: Reference voltage through a pull-up re-

sistor* output

External sensor pins:

• VCC/VDD: Sensor power supply pins

• DATA/DQ: Sensor data pins

• GND: Ground pins

* For passive devices that need it to form a voltage divider.

Installation Instructions

⚠CAUTION! Danger of electrocution. Mounting/installa-

tion of the Device to the power grid has to be performed

with caution, by a qualied electrician.

⚠CAUTION! Danger of electrocution. Every change in the

connections has to be done after ensuring there is no volt-

age present at the Device terminals.

⚠CAUTION! Use the Device only with a power grid and

appliances which comply with all applicable regulations. A

short circuit in the power grid or any appliance connected to

the Device may damage the Device.

⚠CAUTION! Do not connect the Device to appliances ex-

ceeding the given max load!

⚠CAUTION! Connect the Device only in the way shown in

these instructions. Any other method could cause damage

and/or injury.

⚠CAUTION! Do not install the Device where it can get wet.

If you are installing the Shelly Plus Add-on to a Shelly Plus

device that is already connected to the power grid, check

that the breakers are turned off and there is no voltage on

the terminals of the Shelly Plus device you are attaching the

Shelly Plus Add-on to. This can be done with a phase tester

or multimeter. When you are sure that there is no voltage,

you can proceed to installing the Shelly Plus Add-on.

Attach the Shelly Plus Add-on to the Shelly Plus device as

shown on Fig. 3

⚠CAUTION! Be very careful not to bend the Device header

pins (C) when inserting them to the Shelly Plus device head-

er connector (D).

Make sure the brackets (A) lock on the Shelly Plus device

hooks (B) and then proceed to the Device wiring.

Connect one digital humidity and temperature sensor

DHT22 as shown on Fig. 1 A or up to 5 digital temperature

sensors DS18B20 as shown on Fig. 1 B.

⚠CAUTION! Do not connect more than one DHT22 sensor

or a combination of DHT22 and DS18B20 sensors.

Instructions d’installation

⚠VORSICHT! Gefahr eines Stromschlages. Die Montage/

Installation des Geräts an das Stromnetz muss von einem

qualizierten Elektriker mit Vorsicht durchgeführt werden!

⚠VORSICHT! Es besteht Stromschlaggefahr. Bei jeder Än-

derung der Anschlüsse muss sichergestellt werden, dass an

den Klemmen des Geräts keine Spannung anliegt!

⚠VORSICHT! Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur mit einem

Stromnetz und Geräten, die allen geltenden Vorschriften

entsprechen. Ein Kurzschluss im Stromnetz oder in einem

an das Gerät angeschlossenen Gerätes kann dieses be-

schädigen!

⚠VORSICHT! Schließen Sie das Gerät nicht an Geräte an,

die die angegebene Höchstlast überschreiten!

⚠VORSICHT! Schließen Sie das Gerät nur auf die in dieser

Anleitung beschriebene Weise an. Jede andere Methode

kann zu Schäden und/oder Verletzungen führen!

⚠VORSICHT! Installieren Sie das Gerät nicht an einem Ort,

an dem es nass werden kann!

Wenn Sie das Shelly Plus Add-on an einem Shelly Plus Ge-

rät anbringen, das bereits mit dem Stromnetz verbunden

ist, vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Sicherungen ausge-

schaltet sind und keine Spannung an dem Gerät anliegt,

an dem Sie das Shelly Plus Add-on anbringen wollen.

Verwenden Sie dazu ein Phasenprüfgerät oder ein Multi-

meter. Wenn Sie sicher sind, dass keine Spannung mehr

vorhanden ist, können Sie mit der Installation des Shelly

Plus Add-ons fortfahren.

Befestigen Sie das Shelly Plus Add-on am Shelly Plus Gerät

wie in Abb. 3 gezeigt.

⚠ACHTUNG! Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie die Pins des Ge-

rätekopfes (C) nicht verbiegen, wenn Sie sie in den Shelly

Plus Gerätekopfstecker (D) stecken.

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Halterungen (A) an den

Shelly Plus Gerätehaken (B) einrasten, und fahren Sie dann

mit der Geräteverkabelung fort.

Introduzione al prodotto

Shelly Plus Addon (il dispositivo) è un‘interfaccia sensore

isolata galvanicamente per i dispositivi Shelly Plus.

Terminali del dispositivo:

Istruzioni per l‘installazione

⚠ATTENZIONE! Pericolo di folgorazione. Il montaggio/

installazione del dispositivo alla rete elettrica deve essere

eseguito con cautela da un elettricista qualicato.

⚠ATTENZIONE! Pericolo di folgorazione. Ogni modica

dei collegamenti deve essere effettuata dopo essersi ass-

icurati che non ci sia tensione ai morsetti dell‘apparecchio.

⚠ATTENZIONE! Utilizzare l‘apparecchio solo con una

rete elettrica e con apparecchi conformi a tutte le norme

vigenti. Un cortocircuito nella rete elettrica o in qualsiasi

apparecchio collegato all‘apparecchio può danneggiare

l‘apparecchio.

⚠ATTENZIONE! Non collegare l‘apparecchio ad apparec-

chi che superano il carico massimo indicato!

⚠ATTENZIONE! Collegare l‘apparecchio solo nel modo in-

dicato in queste istruzioni. Qualsiasi altro metodo potrebbe

causare danni e/o lesioni.

⚠ATTENZIONE! Non installare il dispositivo in un luogo

che possa bagnarsi.

Se stai installando Shelly Plus Addon su un dispositivo

Shelly Plus che è già collegato alla rete elettrica, controlla

che gli interruttori siano spenti e che non ci sia tensione sui

terminali del dispositivo Shelly Plus a cui stai collegando

Shelly Plus Addon . Questo può essere fatto con un tester

di fase o un multimetro. Quando sei sicuro che non ci sia

tensione, puoi procedere all‘installazione del componente

aggiuntivo Shelly Plus.

Collegare lo Shelly Plus Addon al dispositivo Shelly Plus

come mostrato in Fig. 3

⚠ATTENZIONE! Fare molta attenzione a non piegare i pin

dell‘intestazione del dispositivo (C) quando li si inseriscono

nel connettore dell‘intestazione del dispositivo Shelly Plus

(D).

Assicurarsi che le staffe (A) si blocchino sui ganci del dis-

positivo Shelly Plus (B) e quindi procedere al cablaggio del

dispositivo.

Collegare un sensore digitale di umidità e temperatura

Connect a 10 kΩ potentiometer as shown on Fig. 2 A for

smooth analog readings or a thermistor with 10 kΩ nomi-

nal resistance and β=4000 K as shown on Fig. 2 B for ana-

log temperature measurement.

You can also measure the voltage of an external source

within the 0 to 10 VDC range. The voltage source internal

resistance should be less than 10 kΩ for optimal perfor-

mance.

The Device also provides interface to an auxiliary digital

signal though its digital input. Connect a switch/button, a

relay or an electronic device as shown on Fig. 2.

If the Shelly Plus device, which the Shelly Plus Add-on is at-

tached to, has not been connected to the power grid, install

it following its user and safety guide.

⚠CAUTION! Verbinden Sie nicht mehr als einen DHT22-

Sensor oder eine Kombination aus DHT22- und DS18B20-

Sensoren.

Verbinden Sie ein 10 kΩ-Potentiometer wie in Abb. 2 A dar-

gestellt für glatte analoge Messwerte oder einen Thermis-

tor mit 10 kΩ Nennwiderstand und β=4000 K wie in Abb. 2

B dargestellt für analoge Temperaturmessung.

Sie können auch die Spannung einer externen Quelle im Be-

reich von 0 bis 10 VDC messen. Der Innenwiderstand der

Spannungsquelle sollte für eine optimale Leistung weniger

als 10 kΩ betragen.

Das Gerät bietet auch eine Schnittstelle für ein digitales

Hilfssignal über seinen digitalen Eingang.

Verbinden Sie einen Schalter/Taster, ein Relais oder ein

elektronisches Gerät wie in Abb. 2 gezeigt.

Wenn das Shelly Plus Gerät, an das der Shelly Plus Add-on

angeschlossen ist, noch nicht mit dem Stromnetz verbun-

den ist, installieren Sie es gemäß der Benutzer- und Sicher-
