accordance with the instructions provided. Failure to do
so could result in personal injury, damage to your vessel
and/or poor product performance.
⚠WARNING: Performing service or maintenance
without rst disconnecting the battery can cause product
damage, personal injury, or death due to re, explosion,
electrical shock, or unexpected motor starting. Always
disconnect the battery cables from the battery before
maintaining, servicing, installing, or removing motor
components.
In the box
• 1x cam lock depth collar with locking lever and bolt
Tools needed
• 4 mm (5/32 in) Allen key
• Torque wrench
Installation
1 Disconnect the trolling motor power cable from the
battery (or unplug the power cable if using a plug and
receptacle).
2 While your trolling motor is stowed, unlock the cam lock
depth collar by folding back the tab ( ).A

3 Slide the cam lock depth collar away from the
transmission, re-locking it part way up the column ( ).B

4 Use a 4 mm (5/32 in) Allen key to remove the depth
collar bolt ( ) that secures the collar. C
5 Separate the locking lever ( ) from the collar. D

6 Position the new cam lock depth collar and locking lever
in the same orientation as the old one. Take care not
to lose the metal barrel that’s free to move inside the
locking lever.
¼Note: The hinge of the depth collar must face the front
of the trolling motor when the trolling motor is deployed,
and the locking lever should open and close from the
top surface of the column when the motor is stowed
(this ensures the open collar can slide against the
transmission without the lever hitting the mount).
7 Install the bolt and torque to 1.7 Nm (15 in-lb).
8 Test the collar can lock securely on the column.
¼Note: The collar should not slide when the lever is closed,
and it should slide freely when the lever is fully opened.
When sliding the cam lock depth collar, hold it by the
collar, not by the open locking lever.
9 To adjust collar tightness, close the locking lever and
tighten or loosen the depth collar bolt a quarter turn at a
time, testing after each adjustment.
10 Unlock the cam lock depth collar, guide it down the
column, and lock it against the transmission.
