INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing this Taylor digital scale. Your scale is an
example of superior design and craftsmanship. Please read this
instruction manual carefully before use. Keep these instructions
handy for future reference.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Use 3 AAA batteries (included). Remove any plastic wrap
from the batteries before proceeding.
Always replace all batteries at the same time; do not mix old
and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc)
or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries.
2. Loosen the screws from the battery compartment door using a
screwdriver then using your finger in the notch lift the battery
door off. NOTE: The screws will not completely come out of the
door.
3. Remove old batteries gently from the compartment with your
finger or a tool such as a pen or a screwdriver.
4. Place the batteries into the battery compartment according to
the “+” and “-” polarity symbols in the battery compartment.
5. Replace the battery compartment cover and screws.
Remove used batteries promptly and always purchase correct
size and grade.
6. Replace the batteries when the scale displays “ “ or
readings grow dim or become hard to read.
NOTE: Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulations.
WARNING: KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Batteries may
pose a choking hazard. As with all small items, do not let children
handle batteries. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
PRECAUTION: Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may
explode or leak. Remove the batteries if the scale will not be used
for a long period of time.
