OPERATION INSTRUCTIO NS

CAUTION: Do not keep the keys in the safe.

1 OPEN THE SAFE FOR THE FIRST TIME

To open the safe for the rst time, remove the small plastic cover on the front panel, insert the

key into the lock and turn it counter-clockwise, at the same time, turn the knob clockwise and

open the door.

2 INSTALLING THE BATTERIES.

The safe requires 4× size ‘AA’ (1.5V/R06) batteries. Remove the battery cover and install the

batteries into the compartment. Ensuring the batteries are fitted with the correct corresponding

polarity. The display will scan the status of the electronic lock system automatically. If it is in

order, the display will show ‘good’.

3 OPENING THE SAFE AFTER INSTALLING BATTERIES

To open the door of the safe, press the button ‘START’, the display on the panel will show ‘----

----’, then input one of the two sets of factory-preset codes:

0,0,0,0 (user code) or 8,8,8,8 (master code) immediately and conrm by pressing the button

‘START’. You will hear a musical sound with the display showing ‘OPEN’ and open the safe

using the knob within approximately 4 seconds.

4 PROGRAMMING THE CODE

NOTICE: The safe can be programmed with two sets of codes. For your safety, after

opening the safe and installing the batteries, you should program two sets of your new

codes to take the place of two sets of factory-preset codes.

4.1 Programming the user code

A. With the door of the safe open, press the red button (located on the inside of the door near

the hinge) and the display will show ‘SET CodE’.

B. Now press from 3 to 8 numbers that you wish to use as a new user code, and conrm by

pressing the button ‘START’. After hearing a musical sound, the display will show ‘IN’ and your

inputting numbers. It means that the new user code is conrmed.

4.2 Programming the master code

A. Press the red button then press the button ‘START’. The display will show ‘oLd CodE’.

B. Now input the original master code (factory preset code: 8,8,8,8) and press the button

‘START’. The display will show ‘SET’. Now press from 3 to 8 numbers that you wish to use as

a new master code, and conrm by pressing the button ‘START’. The display will show ‘rE-

InPUT’.

C. Now enter your inputting numbers again and conrm by pressing the button ‘START’. After

hearing a musical sound, the display will show ‘IN’ and your inputting numbers. It means that

the new master code is conrmed.

If you or an intruder uses the incorrect group of numbers, you will hear a beep with the display

showing ‘Error’ and it will not open. If the incorrect combination code is used 4 times

consecutively, the display will show ‘Error’, the buzzer will sound for approximately 3 minutes.

The correct code cannot be entered until after this 3 minutes delay. The override key can

however be used to open the door during this three minutes. If the key is used to open the

door, the buzzer can be cleared by pressing the red button.

If you do not want the display to show your codes or numbers when you open the safe, just

press the button ‘START’ twice at the first time of pressing and other steps are the same.

5 BATTERY REPLACEMENT WARNING

To test the batteries, just press the button ‘START’. If the batteries are low, the display will

show ‘Lo BAE’, and you should replace the batteries.-

6 REPLACING THE BATTERIES

The safe requires 4× size ‘AA’ (1.5V/LR06) batteries.

Open the safe, remove the battery cover on the back of the door, and replace the old

batteries.

The use of alkaline batteries is recommended.

7 OVERRIDE INSTRUCTION TO OPEN THE SAFE

This safe has a manual override system operated by the keys supplied.

A. To use the key, remove the small plastic cover on the front panel.

B. Turn the key anti-clockwise, then turn the knob clockwise, and open the door.

8 INSTALLING THE SAFE

To reduce the risk of theft of the safe, it can be secured to oor, wall or in a cupboard. For

your convenience, there are 2 or 4 holes (diameter 8mm) both in the bottom and on the back,

which allow it to be xed by the xing bolts supplied.
